You went in there looking for something, tell them what you are looking for, for crying out loud, it's not a used car lot with salesman coming up to you trying to push something on you! The service here is terrible. They have a fairly good selection, but it absolutely ruined by how they treat you. I kept getting ignored or left standing. They offered to do shaping on my new hat. They said it would take 20-30 minutes which, no biggy, if it takes time to do it right then right on. But I come back 30 minutes later the guy looks at me, walks away, then I see him shape it in the back for probably 30 seconds super rushed. Weird vibes read more

Not very hospitable owners/staff. I wanted to like the store, bc I enjoy western wear & smaller businesses, but they don't make it easy to shop there. Hats are difficult to access and try on. Little to no help from staff. In terms of pricing, I felt that EVERYTHING was more expensive in store vs online. I looked up a few items and they were all 10-20% cheaper online. Hard to support local business when they A.) don't want to compete B.) don't care to invest time & energy into the customer service/experience that typically makes small business stand out & garnishes repeat customers. Came at the behest of my wife to shop for a cowboy hat for her cowgirl trip to Montana in April. My thoughts were find out your size in a Stetson and I'll order you a used on on ShopGoodWill.com. They have a really good selection of cowboy hats and found that every style had a different feel and sizing to it as the hats tended to be oval and her head round. Ultimately, she found a Rodeo King felt hat that fit good and she bought it. They also have a good selection of Wrangler jeans here so my advice is if you're looking for a hat or jeans you'll most likely come away with something. On the other hand I wasn't impressed with the cowboy boot selection as I only look at leather soled boots and found most of their boots were rubber soled. The service was good and had no issues with getting customer service and help picking out many different hats that were hanging from the wall where it was just out of reach unless you had a stick to help. read more

I was looking for a good-looking cowboy hat and western shirt to wear while performing with in my quartet (we do a few cowboy numbers, plus we're singing Elton John's song 'Roy Rogers' and I wanted to look the part.) The folks in the store could not have been nicer. Not only do they have a massive selection, their prices are really quite good. I had looked online for western style shirts and possible cowboy hats, and decided it would be better to go in person to try them on. Came here to get my cowboy hat reshaped. Look, let's just start off by saying that we're not in the South, so if you need a hat reshaped, your options are pretty limited around these parts. So mostly I was happy to find a place that could even do the job, much less do it with any level of confidence. Sadly, I managed to catch the poor guy on the day of the rodeo (Wa. State Fair I assume), so he was totally swamped. When I walked up you could see the stress in his face over the pile of hats he had already waiting on him. Luckily for me, I didn't need my hat for the rodeo, so I was able to just leave it and come back the following day. I will say, this is a point of stress for myself since this hat came back with me from my home state of Texas. To me it's not just a hat, it's a hat from home. So leaving it somewhere out of my sight was tough. I gave the guy very few instructions as to what I wanted and decided to trust that he knows how to do his job. The conversation was roughly "Just make it look more like the one on your head." Suffice it to say I was very happy when I returned the next day to reunite with my hat and see that it was exactly what I was looking for. He did a great job and treated me very well. If you need a hat reshaped I suggest you pay them a visit. read more

I went in here yesterday to find a pair of boots, and wasn't approached by anyone in the 30 minutes I was in the store. No one acknowledged my existence. It was almost like I was invisible. When I was just about to exit the store, I could overhear the employees at the counter talking with a customer about how it's pride month and how it's a joke. The only reason I even give this a one star is because Yelp is making me. This isn't my first rodeo in this store but it is definitely my last. I am amazed how they make any money. If you are a friend, whoop whoop. chit chat till your hearts content but if you are walking in as a potential customer, man you are screwed. I'm shocked at the reviews for bad service. We had the exact opposite experience. We took our teen son in to look for his first pair of boots. We had to wait a little bit for someone to be free to help us, as we were not the only customers when the gently was free he was very helpful. He explained a lot about finding proper fit, tried different styles and brands to see what was best for his foot. My son went back a few days later to make his purchase. They kept his boots over night to add water repellent, do some stretching and add pads to ensure they fit and were comfortable. It's difficult to find that level of service these days! If they had women's wide width boots I'd give them my business and the fifth star. read more

We made a special trip to find a pair of boots for myself. They did have a few size 11 women's, but not many. If you have an average size, the selection of boots is pretty decent. Customer service isn't s priority in their store that's for sure. Lots of merchandise stuffed with in that building. Almost feels like a hoarder home. I gave this place two stars soley based on inventory. Customer service =zero stars. I came in about a month ago and purchased 3 pair of boots for family, and not one of the two employees said a word to me. At check out the gal didn't even ask if we found everything ok or say thank you or have a nice day. Today I came in to find some boots and jeans for myself. There were three employees on the sales floor or out front and not one said anything to me at all. I was there for about 25 minutes trying on boots, and needed some help with sizes but decided to leave and move on to Coastal and to buy some $400 frye boots at Nordstrom instead. Cool selection, but boy do they give you the shaft on prices. They sell used boots for twice as much as they cost new. Don't believe me? Go to the store, look at a few used boots with price tags of $200, then find that same boot on amazon and you will see them for $100 new. Two off the top of my head were a pair of Laredo and a pair of Smokey mountain. Those boots are $104 and $70 new on amazon. The used pairs in this store were at least $150 and $100. A great little family-owned Western wear shop. That alone should get them 4 stars in this day and age. The service is not the kind where they jump up at the door, greet you with flowers and follow you around. But if you need assistance, you will get it. Just ask. The folks here were very helpful with finding my girl her first pair of cowboy boots, and in finding a decent-looking and fitting cowboy hat for my condo-sized noggin. They carry a very good selection of jeans, boots (both cowboy and work), hats, a bunch of cool Western shirts, and just about every accessory you can think of for the cowboy/girl in you. Yes, I know I can get a lot of what they offer online, and for less. But then I would miss out on the joy of trying on a new set of duds and walking out with my shiny things in hand. I gladly pay the extra price for a sweet new pair of Wrangler 20Xs knowing that it helps keeps these guys and gals doing their thing. Went in yesterday to buy a pair of Justin work boots and they were extremely helpful! I wore them for about an hour and noticed a 3" slice where the leather meets the sole so I took them back today and they traded them in no problem and did everything to could to please me. I was thinking about some boots and did some reasearch. I found this place on the internet and in past reviews here on this site. I was thinking it was too far to drive (almost an hour) but the selection in the picture on their site and the reviews here convinced me and my girlfriend to take a run down there. We went there on December 7 2013. When I arrived I was pleased to see that this was not a chain or franchise type store but rather it was a "mom and pop" type store. I knew nothing about cowboy boots but was looking for some nice looking boots to wear and boots that would last a while and not fall apart right away either. So we walked in and were blown away with the vast selection. The boots are a few levels high and run along two sides of the store. There must be thousands of boots there. Mens and womens, even kids boots. All kinds, Fancy cowboy boots to work boots. i had no idea where to start. What does a guy from New York City know about cowboy boots anyway? Nothing. So we walked all the way in past racks of cowboy or should I say western style clothes and an amazing display of big silver belt buckels for sale to the back of the store. I was approached by a woman (I later learned was the owner) and she asked me if I needed help. I said oh yes and explained that I did not know where to start and how to pick out boots. I am very sorry that I did not get her name but she was amazing. She helped me pick out boots, explained the differences and even showed me a device used for taking the boots off. Her help was fantastic and I could not have done such a good job of getting some really fine boots on my own. She took so much time with me I was really thrilled to get that much help and attention. She was more than patient with me. She also told me that I was wearing my jeans too short. I wear 32" length. Well sure enough when i went to look for some new Levi's the next day she was absolutly right. When i tried on some 34" length jeans they fit much better with the boots i had bought. The experiance at this store was great. So I bought two beautiful pairs of boots and also bought some boots for my girlfriend, and a nice belt too. For all of that I dropped well over $300 but I will tell you that both my girlfriend and I are so happy having gone there and spending time with them. I think we were in that store for over an hour and a half. So what can I say. I blast businesses that screw me and dont treat me, the customer, right but go out of my way to let people know when I have had a good experiance too. This place and the service I got there was top of the line. As good as it can get. I will go back there for sure. Thanks so much you guys down there. Lousy. Lousy. Lousy. My fiancé and I are getting married and have a western themed wedding. We went to The Country Square to purchase boots for both of us, hat for him, shirts for groomsmen, and other accessories. Mixed results in customer service... boots had to be ordered in my big ol' feet size as well as the hat my fiancé picked out. We tried to order the groomsmen shirts, but were told they weren't able to order those shirts. Which, were easily found on various websites...at a much cheaper price... not too awful.. YET. The hat was ordered - supposedly. We waited, and waited, and waited. Nothing. So my fiancé called, and was told there was a problem with the manufacturer and they were checking into it. No call back. I went down there to look at more shirts, inquired... found out that they hadn't followed up on the call. We BOTH went back the next week... found out it hadn't been ordered (blamed on the manufacturer losing the order). OWNER 'said' he ordered it himself. Should be ready in 3 weeks. Ok... 3 weeks later... no call, nothing. We call last night and the lady LIED to us. First she says, "no, we called you... we don't know the trim you want" (uhmmm... in writing, on the order) Then she says "I can't find the order, what name is it under"... Soooo... how did she know there is a problem if she didn't know whose name it is under and who she is talking to? Ok, so. longest story ever... Its been since the beginning of November, 'supposedly' ordered twice now... Lousy customer service. We will never go back. I'm just glad we began the process early enough so we can go elsewhere before the wedding. Beths Western, here we come! read more

I went looking for a cowboy hat today and Dennis hooked me up with answers to all my questions, patience in narrowing down exactly what I wanted, and steaming my hat into a perfect form for me. Made a special trip to check out this store, turned out to be a huge waste of time. Customer service was sorely lacking, there was so much inventory crammed inside you could not walk 3 steps without knocking over a pile of boxes or running into a clothes rack. They seemed to have a decent selection of boots - but they don't stock any women's over size 10. Who does that in this day and age?! They said they could "order some in for us to come back and try" but even then they said that there was only one brand that they could get. Odd - since the next day we drove up to "Beth West" in Snohomish - and I was able to try on numerous styles and brands in sizes 11, 11.5 and 12! The only real Western wear shop in the greater Seattle area. They have a great selection of boots and hats and a decent selection of clothing. Everyone is nice and helpful. This is a very disorganized business. In September I ordered a pair of boots, by the end of October I had heard nothing from them. When i called the boots were sitting there but the wrong size. They didn't bother sending them back or calling me. I waited and waited until December 16th still no phone call or update. I went in and just got my money back. Was really impressed with the selection of women's boots they had, and the sales person (maybe owner?) helped my husband get a good hat to wear for the concert (didn't want to take his nice hat to the gorge and get it all messed up). They did not hover like so many other stores but when I asked for assistance it could not have been better. I've been in there with high hopes many times. They carry brands that I like, but I've never found anything in my size that I actually bought. It's a mixed bag: you have to know your product, because while they do stock some top quality lines, they also stock the schlock. They have "store dog," among other accoutrements of a local, family store. If you're there for boots, ask about the odd unsold stock they have in back. They've been in business for decades, and have some odd lots in the stock room that never sold, and if it's your size, score! This store has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I purchased a pair of boots before I left for an out of country trip. When I came back I wore them around the house to wear them in and they never worked. Since I had been out of the US it took a while for me to realize they didn't work so they wanted to try and stretch them before they thought about giving me a refund. I went in and dropped them off. I was told I would get a call when they were ready. I was never given a call, and when I called in no one had any idea where my boots were or who I was. They finally realized what was going on and had me come in, they didn't fit so they had to be fixed again. Once again I was told I would get a call, three weeks went by and I finally called them and just asked for my money back. The lady I was speaking with handed the phone to someone else in the middle of me talking with her because apparently I wasn't worth her time. Then the owner gets on the phone and tells me he won't let me ruin his day! How unprofessional is that, they forget my boots, then don't call me for weeks, stretch them incorrectly, then have the audacity to be upset at me for wanting to not work with them. The owner put me on hold then hung up on me. Do not buy from them!!!! Their customer service is the worst ever and most of the employees just stand around doing nothing until you force them to help you. read more
