    A bad Chicken Parmesan sandwhich

I love the country table but I'm not sure if they're just having a bad week or if it's just me. But I have some notes: For starters, for pick-up, their online ordering system is VERY confusing. This might just be a me thing. So anytime I order I call in. Well today, I made a large order and they messed up one of the salads, my coworker still ate it even though they gave us the wrong one. And I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and the chicken is burnt, dry, and hard to chew, like a hockey puck. For the price of it, it is not worth it. The other thing was this past Sunday. Now it says they close at 4:30pm. I got there at 3:50. Woman behind the counter said that the kitchen was closed. I don't know if they just need to update their hours or what. Like I said, every other time I have been here has been yummy and great. But something was off for sure this week. I hope it improves. I also want to add I normally don't post negative reviews. I genuinely feel bad doing it. But I really hope the owner reads this and pays closer attention to the quality of their food.

Well curated menu option, nicely displayed, easy to follow menu. one issue: Belgian waffles are frozen /reheated which means by the time you start to eat it, it's hard texture is difficult to cut with the plastic cutlery they give you (please let customers know the waffles aren't freshly made). The Hard waffles are difficult to enjoy.

    $26 for mac n cheese

This place is comically expensive. $32/pound for tuna salad. TUNA SALAD. That is canned tuna and mayonnaise. $26 for a small tray of Mac n cheese. MAC N CHEESE. If the quality reflected the prices, then it would be less egregious. But the food is really bad. Pastries are stale, sandwiches are dry, portions are tiny. Don't go here. Glenville Deli is around the corner - they have way better everything and at normal prices.

Great little shop with delicious food, beautifully finished interior, good clean space to work, fast Wi-Fi, a couple tables outside by the Byram River and private parking lot. Only thing I don't like is they can't make a mocha or any flavored lattes.

Got some food to go, it was inedible, they shouldn't call what they serve "food", doubt I will go back.

The vegetable / hummus sandwich on pita bread was wholly unappetizing. The sandwich filling appeared like a grayish paste.

Almost an hour wait for a simple sandwich is too much. I really hope they improve since the sandwich was terrific.

She made things move smoothly. The owner was funny as well. I asked if everything was baked here daily, and he made a tastefully fun joke. I left the bakery with a black and white cookie, I couldn't believe it. I never tasted a freshly backed black and white. All the ingredients were fresh and it showed, I was completely blown away. Now for my next visit I have to try their bread and fresh salads. I see now in hindsight why u didn't want to go, it's simple, now I will be there everyday and ruin my diet.

We found street parking since we came in around 6p. The restaurant was fairly empty but it filled up midway through our dinner. It's lively and nicely decorated. We ordered drinks first, and the cocktail menu had some nice options. Too sweet for my taste so I ordered wine. Simple collection to choose from. Then we had the lamb meatballs. They were very good, especially with the sauce. Not gamey. The fried artichoke was definitely a hit with the dipping sauce. Some of the pieces were a little too dry and I didn't taste much artichoke overall. The roasted romaine was a nice take an a Caesar salad. Grilled asparagus is self explanatory. The pizza was really good but I avoid gluten now so I only had 2 bites; husband loved it. I had the scallops which were too rubbery for my taste.
