One of the best delis in the area! I highly recommend you get a FedEx wedge, they are very generous with the chicken, cutlet sauce and cheese! It's always perfect and I'm always sad when I get to my last bite and I wish that I got a second one. They also have a very large salads that fill you up and I have a great selection! You have to stop by and check it out, just note that during peak hours it will get busy, but it is worth every minute waiting !! read more

This place knows how to make sandwiches and salads. I ordered a ham sandwich, a gyro, and a Tex Mex salad and they did not disappoint. The ham was perfect, the lamb gyro was wonderful, and the salad was delicious! I could not be happier with the food. Not surprisingly, they get pretty busy at lunch time, so I suggest calling to order or using their texting service to indicate what you want. Wondering if this is a good deli? Service was friendly and quick. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted roll. It was delicious. Plenty of bacon and a good ratio of cheese and eggs. If I was local, I'd be there everyday trying out the sandwiches one by one. read more

Ordered 3 hot sandwiches on line (their web site) at 10:40am. At 11:10am called to confirm order received, told 'order is on the road'. Called again at 11:40am and told they will 'call the driver and call you back'. Called again at Noon and told the driver is 'on the way'. Food arrived at 12:10pm, 90 minutes after ordering, and sandwiches cold and mushy (tomato sauce absorbed by bread). Tried to microwave the sandwiches but unfortunately could not revive them. We have been customers for many years but sadly no longer. read more

My family and I love Firehouse Deli. We recently made our first road trip with kids to visit family in MA from VA (but we've been coming here long before in the 2000s when we first discovered it while attending a Fairfield college commencement. Trust me, Firehouse, my husband and me goooo way back!). This place was our must stop destination! Why? Read on! 1. Sandwiches are awesome! Fresh bread and delicious toppings. You can't go wrong and every sandwich is flavorful. My favorite is the chicken sandwich and even the vegetarian wraps! So so good! 2. Clean and efficient - during this time of COVID, this is so important to me! There were several places to order (outdoors and indoors) so social distancing happens naturally. Plus, there are lots of outdoor seating to choose from! 3. Easily the best sandwich shop in the tristate area. I found it because it was about a mile from my dentist. Now I'm addicted. First time I got Genoa, provolone on a wedge. Then chicken cutlet with blt. Just the best bread and fresh ingredients. I just stop if you're anywhere in the vicinity. Meaning within 50 miles :) read more

Came to this place for lunch with a few co-workers of mine. I ordered the MTA on a wedge with the sauce on the side. I got the sandwich and it was massive but really soggy. It was soaked in oil and dripped all over the place. Portions = Massive Flavors = Basic Quality = Fair If you are looking for something basic and fast come here. I really have nothing bad to say about this place except that it gets very crowded and there is no order in the line. There are people all over and you don't know if they ordered yet, or if they are waiting to pay. The food is always on point. The staff is usually pretty happy and helpful. Their breakfast sandwiches are the best around and their lunch sandwiches are just as good. Its right across from the firehouse, so the name is perfect. The prices are fair. The coffee is very good. Parking can be a problem at any time you try to stop in. Besides that, 4 stars all the way. Good to very good deli. read more

This is the real deal. Great portions (especially the subs/wedges. Everything we have ordered has been top notch. Great quality, fast delivery. I lived over an Italian deli in the Bronx for years and have been looking for a place like this since I moved to Greenwich...can't believe it took me 20 years to find it...better late than never, I guess! Try their specialty wedges...my favorite is the Mr. G's, and the meatball parm wedge (hero, for those who do not live in Connecticut). read more

Searched for a quick spot to grab a bite right off of 95 and this place was the perfect place! Love the fun names of all the sandwiches! My family of 5 each picked out something different and everyone was more than satisfied with their lunch. When you have items called Real Deal Holyfield, Fed Ex, The Nameless One, and the Mr. C. Special you know you are in the right place. Growing up in the land of delis (seriously there were like 7 in a mile radius from my house) makes me a little expert on the subject. This place is amazing. One of the best ways to start your day is to get a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a roll. But hold on... you can add chili do that. And let me just say that is to die for! You should start every day with two meats with egg and cheese on a roll! I have to admit that when I am back home I often get a Real Deal Holyfield on a roll for breakfast if I know I wont be around to grab lunch there. The Real Deal comes with grilled chicken cutlet, bacon, mozzarella, honey mustard sauce, lettace, and tomato. (I get it without tomato). I have had other sandwiches there but all of my love goes to the Real Deal, which is not to say that I dont like their other food there... I just LOVE the Real Deal. Aww.. thinking about it now makes me sad to be so far away. read more

This is why I love yelp. On a road trip, we got hungry and decided to yelp a spot for lunch nearby. This place came up talking about huge sandwiches and we decided to investigate on how huge the sandwiches really were. Well, they are huge and if folks have been to graham deli sandwiches in brooklyn , its comparable but this is cheaper price. First of all, if you are getting a sandwich get a wedge. You are not fooling anyone about going on a diet if you are getting sandwiches here. OR you can do what we did was split a sandwich. The sandwiches have good quality meats etc on it. Its not a sandwich that you know won't do you any wrong . I do wish there was a little more sauces/ dressing in it but it may be to let the quality of the food stand up for itself. Firehouse deli is hands down the best deli I've ever been to. I've owned and serviced many delis all over the tri-state area. But nobody does it like Firehouse. It definitely might go to if I'm in the area. There should be more places to pay attention to a great quality great service and great food. There are too many places that do not stand out Firehouse deli is definitely worth the trip. You'll never be disappointed read more

This was our first time ordering lunch for delivery at work. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! The wraps were good enough for 2 people!! Prices were fair and I love how you can order online and add notes to your individual order to customize it. The only thing is, if you pick delivery, like we did, we got it 1/2 hour later than scheduled. I guess we need to order earlier or maybe they were super busy that day- read more

If there's one flaw that nearly makes this place lose a star it's the fact that it closes in the early evening - this place is pretty much just open during work hours. It's a travesty. Firehouse Deli makes, hands down, the best sandwiches in the Stamford-Greenwich area - quite possibly beyond that. The wedges are incredibly cheap, but incredibly big and packed with the highest quality deli meat. The condiments are always spot on, and the service - even at the busiest times - is mind-blowingly fast. They have an ample menu and don't add BS items to make the place seem more high brow. Straightforward, solid, tasty, fast service, great value. If the owner ever reads this: please stay open later - and not until 8 or 9... I'm talking into the late hours of the morning. I've been going to Firehouse for years; today (during the Covid19 pandemic) I drove across town because I was craving one of their chicken cutlet wedges. This is THE best deli in the area; hands down . Anthony (the owner) is an all around great guy , very friendly, who knows his customers and treat them like family . Today I had the "Mac Attack" which is my personal favorite. Huge chicken cutlets with onions, pickles, tomatoes , covered in Russian dressing . Today I was craving extra spicy so I had them add some jalapeño . These wedges are so big, most people get at-least 2 meals out of one sandwich. The bottom line is Firehouse makes huge tasty wedges (along with many other things), and they don't over charge you for it like so many other places in the area. They also have a great selection of delicious coffees and a little fridge for the milk, half and half , etc. Stop in, you won't be disappointed; say hello to Anthony for me ! Harry P. read more

This might be my shortest review ever. Came here for a pit stop around 5/6pm on a Friday. Probably not prime deli time, but the guys behind the counter were still very cordial, quick. I ordered a simple tuna melt on a roll. You can choose among your own cheese. It was standard. The onion rings I got with it were very big, fresh and tasty. My husband got probably a more appropriate option, choose from the set menu of names which I forgot. His was a huge roast beef and turkey on a "wedge" (aka hoagie roll- they're called wedges in Fairfield County) and a bunch of other things and man this sandwich was fit for legit 8 people. It was huge. You can add whatever toppings and substitutions you want also without any upcharges. Fast, friendly... Not a huge deli person because I don't have cold cuts but recommended if you love sandwiches. I'll be back for a breakfast sammy probably. Cheap too with things on a roll starting at $6.99 read more

I walked up to the counter and attempted to rizz up the cashier. She did a good job at resisting my aura. Marginally completely ignored me but that negative energy has no impact on a Sigma such as myself. Couldn't even tell if she had the gyatt or if she were mid, but it doesn't matter. Whatever. I'm not mad. That's not even what I was here for. I was here for a slice and a Cheeseteak. Whatever. I ghosted her first. Just PUT THE FRIES IN THE BAG! Anyways. Behind the counter the chef runs a tight ship. Would call him a pirate, first word that came to mind. He crashed out about five times and mogged roughly five unassuming customers and I absolutely loved it. That's how cocky pizza makers should be. No skibidi. No 6-7. All action, no BS. LET HIM COOK. You can only order in 15 min increments on the website. This, again, is a tight ship. So I ordered the cheesesteak and then added a slice to my purchase when I got there. Genius, I know. Why don't you tell huzz behind the counter who thinks that because she ate that she don't have to lock into to the gracefully aging unc who graced her presence. No glaze ofc. ANYWAYS. The cheesesteak is simply one of the best in the world. Straight chungus... this thing is structurally sound at an absurd diameter and circumference. Theres really not an argument to its greatness. The bread is filthy good. The cheese/sauce has some type of extra tang/spice that raises it another level. The meat is just wonderful. I mean this thing is so delicious that it's 9:30AM and I'm contemplating ordering one right now. JUST LOOK AT IT. And the pizza? Mid 8s. That's a nice score. Sourdough crust that dominates a bit because of its charred taste and texture. A good sauce almost wish there were more. Really aromatic, really fresh cheese. Super super deceptively light I could've polished a pie and I probably will at some point. Really liked it, need to try more slices. This place, across all metrics, passed the vibe check. Hits all the KPIs. Love the downstairs dark vibe. And call me Frankenstein but they hit the nail on the head with their two specialties: Pizza and Cheesesteak. Who doesn't love that combo? The cheesesteak was a bit of a let down. I really didn't love the bread and it needed more cheese. Compared to your average cheesesteak this was great but I am comparing this to Angelo's in Philly and it's just not in that league. We pre ordered our pizza and cheesesteak. When we walked in there was no sign as to where to wait if you had ordered ahead of time. We stood to the side for a few minutes until we were yelled at by the cashier for taking up space. Luckily the owner saw this and quickly interjected. After that poor start everything else went well. The owner let us change our order to sit down and they made space at a table for us. Someone even nicely boxed our leftovers for us.
