I highly recommend trying their seasonal cocktail menu. I went on a Saturday night with a girl friend, joined the reservation waitlist around 4:30, and was seated around the 1 hour timeframe given by the friendly hostess. The place was fully packed with friends and groups celebrating in the holiday spirit together! It was such a magical vibe that combined the childhood nostalgia of holiday decor and presents with an adult safe-space to enjoy Christmas themed cocktails. My favorite was "Rudolphs Replacement" served in the cutest dinosaur christmas hat cup! This was sweet yet spiced and everything nice, plus the coffee liquer mixed in well. I also loved the "Marshmallows & Unicorns" cocktail presented in my favorite unicorn Christmas mug! This is a really smooth cherry-vanilla soda flavored cocktail. If you are a fan of mulled wine, "Elfing Around #2" is the cocktail for you, served in a fancy christmas champagne flute. I am usually a fan of reposado so I started with "The Krampus" which came in the cutest krampus shaped mug. The first sip was a spicy ginger flavor and then the hellfire bitters hits the throat. It's kind of like a spicy cinnamon hard candy with a ginger bite. My girl friend LOVED the "Carol Barrel" in the falala cup which she reordered due to enjoying the spiced chocolate-banana combination of flavors. I actually wanted to make this review to mention "miracle on orange." I assumed this would be a tradition that would be left in the past but I'm so happy they have decided to continue it. It's been a long time coming, so I'm so glad I was finally able to check out The Courtesy's new location in Winter Park! This new location has speakeasy vibes and is much larger than the previous location! A great addition to what the courtesy offers is that they've partnered up with Winter Park favorite Swine and Sons for their join concept BarSwine. So now while you're enjoying your delicious cocktail you can eat small bites with it! They don't take reservations so all seating is first come first served at their tables and the bar. I would recommend coming with smaller groups to be able to accommodate everyone and be courteous to others that want to experience this place. I was most interested in their new items on the revolving menu so I tried out the Cumbiano, which honestly changes the game for aguardiente lovers (IYKYK), and the Meet Me In Montauk is made with rums but has a hint of pine taste that reminds me of gin, which I absolutely love! Now that The Courtesy is offering cocktail classes that will be the next experience on my list! All the Halloween vibes here! They did such a tremendous job giving this bar a very spooky feel and I appreciated all the attention to detail. Every direction and angle you glanced at, there was a fun Halloween decoration to feast your eyes on. Loved all the skeleton animals, cobwebs, creepy dolls and dim lighting. My boyfriend & I went on a Sunday at around 3:45pm (they opened their doors at 3) and we had no issue getting a seat at the bar (parties of 4 or more can make reservations online). As soon as we sat down, we were greeted by multiple bartenders who were very friendly, attentive and ready to answer any questions we had about the menu. Of course we decided to choose the cocktails with the most festive presentations (please take one & spite fright) because.. duh? I was warned that my drink (please take one) was the sweetest on the menu, but I didn't find it to be overly sugary (the tequila seemed to balance it out well). The "spite fright" cocktail was great as well and was very refreshing. Didn't order food since we popped in here on our way to dinner, but our experience, although brief, was a pleasant one. The only reason I don't feel compelled to give 5 stars is because the one detail that was a miss was the music for me. They had grungy rock music playing which I felt didn't fit the vibe at all and took away from the ambiance. Some creepy or Halloween themed music would have gone a long way. As an elder millennial, this place sucked. If I was 21, maybe I'd be hyped on it. We went for the holiday pop up. Arrived at 730 on Saturday and there was a 45 min wait. There's a tiny bar outside but they only offer the worst Pinot Grigio I've ever had, a red, and 2 mixed drinks. At the hour mark, I popped my head inside and the hostess said we were next. I decided to use the restroom and the guy in there didn't lock the door so ofc I walked in on him (but stuff happens we won't hold that against the bar). We got seated on the far wall facing the wall so you could not enjoy the ambience unless you stood up or turned yourself all the way around. The mixed drinks are pre made so you cannot ask them to alter them or have them less sweet etc. it took the bartender/waitress another 20 min to come back and take our drink order. The drinks were good and served in cute mugs (mine was a Christmas dinosaur). it was so loud you could barely hear each other talk and definitely not worth the hour and 20 min wait for drinks. There are plenty of other Christmas bars that are infinitely nicer for the amount of time and money spent here. If you're young and don't mind the wait and your stomach isn't middle aged and can handle the sugar, this place is probably just fine lol. read more

Stopped by last Friday for pre dinner cocktails. It was raining but we were lucky to get a parking spot in the back lot and get to the door right before my umbrella broke. Inside, we were offered a table for two on the far side of the bar. I was glad we could sit side by side! One of the bartenders or servers was around quick and we were able to get our order in 15 min before happy hour was over! Nice!!! We started with the happy hour petite charcuterie, which we shared. We had reservations nearby for dinner so it was just a snack, and it was perfect and more than enough for us. I had the Hurricane and made it a Cat 5 (option for rum floater! How cool is the name?!??) and my date had the Mosquito. We enjoyed our cocktails and I was suspended when our server came by right before 6pm and said any more happy hour drinks before happy hour is over? Usually you can get one round in and then it's over before the server comes back. He legit came back one min prior!!! At that point though we had already decided on a couple drinks that were not on the happy hour menu. So I had the tourist season and my date had the Bella Donna. The server chuckled and said usually the guy gets what I ordered and the girl gets what my date ordered! Oops! I guess I like a boozy cocktail!!! Hahaha. Bathrooms are nearby- unisex, individual rooms. We had a great time at the courtesy. Happy hour was great. Regular drink menu is more extensive. I usually come to this location twice a year to experience the Halloween and Christmas themed bar but after Friday night, I am sad to say that I will not be returning. The hostess that night was extremely rude and I was completely taken aback by the unpleasant interaction from beginning to end. Luckily so many other bars are almost as festive around this time of year so I don't feel like I am missing out completely. Parking was fairly simple other than it's mainly scattered all around which made it a bit challenging for the most part given it was crowded. Like I mentioned places was rocking and had great service. Wait time was about 25-30 mins, but bar is usually open seating so you can walk in or just wait for the tables. Tonight I ordered the Special Milk Punch they had to offer which was a great infusion of rums and what seemed to be pressed milk with a unique flavor. One negative I have to report is that I couldn't detect any Thai flavors in the Chiang Mai Chicken sandwich, it was good, just didn't taste Thai. We also had the southern sampler board (no photo), that had the best ham on it! Just wish it was bigger for the price, not much to share between four people. Also had the caramelized shallot dip, which was really tasty! All the drinks below were really good, especially the Rotating Clarified Milk Punch of the night, wow!!Service was spot on and friendly. Vibe, food, and drinks 10/10. Service could use some significant improvement. Just my husband and I so we just had a 20 min wait, where we went next door for a quick drink. Service had already been pretty slow, but it looked like there was only 1 true server so we were patient. However, once we were able to order our second round of drinks, after 30 minutes we still had not had them and she seemed to be actively avoiding us. Walking past our table multiple times and wouldn't look at us. Eventually the hostess came to the table next to us to help clean it off and we were able to cancel the order and ask for our server to pay and get out. What an amazing event with new Yelp Elite friends! My husband and I loved the 'old' courtesy bar. This one is definitely larger and a completely different vibe. It's really nice and they had the traveling Christmas Pop up happening. The drinks were yummy. We were the biggest fan of the Christmas Cricket - an delicious minty delight. We also tried the Jingle Balls Nog - a cinnamon nog that was also very good and then the Holiday Spiked Chai - this one was fine but I expected to be a little creamier. The drinks came in these super cute mugs that you could purchase. I took photos of others at our table. Another friend had the potato bites and said they were good but nothing special. We didn't try the food this time. The servers were super nice and available for when we needed them. 4 stars for the odd way they let people in. You must be in a seat, even at the bar. We were able to make a reservation online (up to 2 and a half hours) since we came for Nightmare on Orange and we heard the wait could be up to 3 hours. Inside had incredible spooky decorations like we were transformed into the Nightmare Before Christmas! The cocktails both looked and tasted amazing. The staff was very friendly and made amazing recommendations. They serve a limited menu from Swine and Sons and I would highly recommend the Onion dip. We decided to put our name in and go get dinner and then come back and it worked out. They also have food from swine and sons, an outside bar when you're waiting and lots of fun festive drinks. The drinks come in festive cups, are strong and good! Only downside: the place would be accessible for someone with a wheelchair or walking aid, at all! Parking is off site so keep that in mind too. I finally got out and visited the Courtesy last night with some friends. It was sooooo cute because the Miracle Bar pop up was happening. The ambiance was so cozy and got me in the holiday spirit. Love that I also visited on December 1st! I arrived and my party was already inside so I was able to get in with no issue. A few minutes later the bar was at capacity so there were quite a few people waiting outside. The drinks are a bit pricey for my liking, but that's what you get for the location and obviously this pop up! It's worth it though. I needed some food in me so I ordered the loaded potatoes from Bar Swine. They were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I ate them pretty quick- wish I had more lol. I'd love to go back to visit after the pop up so I can experience how it is "normally". Highly recommend!! read more

I asked for something sour with mescal and egg white, and the bartender gave me a delicious Crimes of Passion. But there are also excellent cocktails offered on the menu- some with really bold flavor pairings. prices are decent for the quality of drinks- I ordered the mezcal tequila option (forgot the name) for $15. Excellent service , very attentive from several different people (not just our server) and super friendly staff all around. Our waters were refilled often and throughout the evening, people checked in on our table. I can't speak to the food, however, because we didn't order anything but drinks. I used to go to the original Courtesy Bar downtown for years. I've gone for a regular night out, their old Derby Day parties, and the Miracle on Orange holiday pop-up. They always served a great drink in a cozy atmosphere. A friend and I decided to check out the new location in Winter Park. They definitely have a few things to work out. We arrived a little before 6:30 and were told it would be about an hour wait. There were growing groups of people waiting outside. We decided to stop by at the Foxtail next door as we waited. After an hour, we checked with the guy at the front door, and were told there still were a number of tables before us. They appeared to be seating people based on table size. Your wait time did not necessarily correlate with when you arrived. We were only a party of 2 and larger parties were getting seated before us even though they arrived after us. Despite this, my friend and I had nowhere to be and waited it out. It ended up being exactly 3 hours! Once we got in, we sat at the bar. The bar tender was very nice, and took our orders right away. He was very friendly and entertaining, and the manager even chatted with us and was apologetic about the wait. We were still happy and enjoyed our drinks. I got the "Yippee ki yay, mother f@$-r!" It was a delicious coconut and ube cocktail. My friend got the Christmas Cricket that tasted like a mint chocolate chip milkshake. We also ordered a Swine & Sons board with meats and cheeses. The food and drinks were great, service was nice too. The wait is insane. Don't expect to just walk in. Not sure if it's totally worth the wait. There are plenty of other bars with great cocktails. Despite this, my friend and I were OG Courtesy fans, and we wanted to see the Miracle on Orange pop-up again. I'll probably wait until the hype wears off a bit before I return.
