A group of friends and I decided to try this place out, mostly due to their handmade pasta. There were 10 of us. We had a reservation. When we arrive, we were seated promptly back by the kitchen. There was a group of employees making pasta. Our waiter was super nice and provided us with menus and drinks promptly. I ordered the carbonara that came with rigatoni pasta. They didn't have bread, which we all thought was very odd since it was an Italian restaurant. Course it took a while to get our orders... Approximately 30 minutes. My carbonara rigatoni pasta was super thick and very chewy. It actually was awful! The people who ordered items with spaghetti noodles said their noodles were delicious. We had three people who ordered chicken Parmesan sandwich, which all three of them said their sandwiches were awful and soggy and the chicken was overcooked. The interior of this restaurant is beautiful and it seems they're trying to be very trendy but what they really need to do is send their cooks to school. Unfortunately we probably won't be back and that's too bad.

The aesthetic of the tall wooden rafters, stone floors, mood lighting and peeks of natural sun, it gives high class Italian in the best way possible. As you walk in there's a large bar with a decent amount of seating, and to the right a mix of tables. Take on the limited outdoor seating at your own risk during Florida's storm season. I started with the Sunshine State cocktail. The gin cocktail was a little more lime forward than I prefer, but I'm still a fan! To follow it, I tried the Negroni Bianco. It was on the sweeter side and had a lot of floral flavor. The Bruschette Caprese has so much flavor, I couldn't get place if the tomatoes were marinated, but I loved it! For dinner I couldn't resist the house special, mustard spaghettini. It was creamy, and mustard marinated noodles the perfect balance. As you'd expect with the setting and price point, the service was professional and attentive.

Very nice quality at Prato. We came to celebrate a graduation on a Friday afternoon. It was packed. I went with the server's suggestion of Cacio e Pepe pasta, which was so rich and creamy. The ham specks also added a little bit of saltiness. My husband got the Margherita pizza and it was also delicious, crisp, and cooked very well. We would definitely eat here again.

Came in on a Saturday (with a reservation) and was seated right away. Service was quick, and we ordered the meatball appetizer. It came out quick and delicious. I ordered the Mustard Spaghettini, which was really good. My mom ordered the gnocchi, which was really good too. Everyone else ordered pizza and said they were good. Since we were visiting, it is definitely a place I would come back to again when in the area. I love the shopping area, so this was a nice lunch treat after walking around in the heat.

This was one of the most delicious Italian meals ever! So many flavors and pasta was perfection. The servers were very kind. I didn't personally care for the space itself. It felt dark and kinda cramped but I am sure many people like that vibe. The thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the tiramisu. It was actually very bad. I was so surprised. At least the cheesecake was redeemable. The place is very pricey so if I came back it would be a very special occasion.

What a great spot for a date night. My boyfriend and I made a weekend reservation and were seated right away when we arrived. The inside is decorated so cute with plants and gentle lighting. We got a booth near the bar area. I started off the evening with an espresso martini - and boy was it good! I would definitely recommend. For an appetizer we started with the Prato Meatballs. This order comes with 3 large meatballs that were juicy and flavorful. Let's get to the entrees. We ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and the Beef Short Rib. The bolognese was hearty and so yummy. There was alot and plenty to also take home for the next day. The beef short rib was extremely tender and the potatos were fluffy. I think this was a solid dish. To finish off the evening, we had to get a dessert. We ordered the cheesecake to split. It had a different texture an maybe a traditional cheesecake but still delicious. We had great service. The bar seemed to keep filling up the whole time we were there and a busy spot. Everything here made for a perfect date night spot.

We came in for dinner and had a great experience. Service was welcoming and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I enjoyed a glass of prosecco. For our appetizer, we got the pretzel breaded calamari. It came with two sauces and both were delicious. The calamari was tender and crisp. For my entree, I got the truffle gnocchi. They were so pillowy and the sauce was to die for. The portions were solid. It was a good meal.

We ordered so much and it was all so good. The service was AMAZING, we had Alexandra and she is the sweetest and has really good energy. The environment of the place is so nice.

Prato in Winter Park was such a fantastic stop! The vibe is fun and lively as soon as you walk through the doors. It was pretty busy for a Thursday--thanks to the gorgeous weather--but we were seated right away, even with the crowds. They offer both outdoor seating and bar seating, which adds to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our server was wonderful, taking the time to explain the menu and share some great recommendations. We started with the Burrata appetizer and holy cow... it was incredible. A huge, beautifully presented plate with super fresh lettuce, sliced pears, almonds, and the burrata split open and drizzled with prosecco. Hands down the best burrata I've ever had. For my lunch entrée, I ordered the Panino Caprese sandwich, and it was everything you love about a fresh caprese salad tucked inside warm focaccia. So yummy. I chose the house-made chips on the side, and they were amazing--crispy, flavorful, and clearly fresh. This was an excellent dining experience all around. Highly recommend stopping by Prato if you're in the Winter Park area!

    Pawn with risotto

I give it a 3.8 and rounded up overall, just because the service was a 5. Food we had was so so. Check out the size of the pawn! For the price, is 3 medium shrimp. If they are going to serve shrimp, they need it to give more, maybe 6. The duck was little better. The drink was the best part.

Prato never disappoints! From service, to ambience, and top shelf food. Emma was excellent as our guide today and made wonderful suggestions! TJ (General Manager) leads a superior group of professional servers, mixologist, and chefs! Don't miss out. Great for lunch too

I have always wanted to come here and I finally came with my friends. The restaurant has a nice low lit ambience to it. The service here was good. To start we got the beef carpaccio and we really enjoyed it. I got the Cacio e pepe, this was amazing. The noodles here are so good and the sauce was delicious. We also really enjoyed the potato gnocchi so creamy and perfectly chewy. Last thing we got was the Margarita Pizza, it tasted fresh but it was a bit too floppy/soggy for me. I prefer a crispier pizza crust. I would definitely come back here again for their pasta. I want to come back and try their other pasta dishes.

How can I make a reservation?

    They're on Resy!

Do they offer compensation valet parking?

there is a lot of free parking around the area

    Do they have matchbooks here?

I hope not. I would hope this is a smoke free restaurant.

    Do they offer vegetarian options?

They do offer vegetarian pizza. And in each course and category they offer at least one tasty vegetarian dish

Does Prato make fresh pasta themselves? Just moved here from DC and need to find a place serving fresh pasta to be my default Italian place to treat my visitors.

Yes! Prato is my go-to for fresh pasta. They pride themselves on their fresh food selection and their menu changes everyday based on availability of those fresh ingredients.

Hours say you're closed 3-5:30 wed-Fri, but also that happy hour is 4-6? Is the bar only open but not the kitchen during that time?

They are open at 4, you can be seated at a table or a booth, but you can only order drinks. The kitchen opens at 5:30. There is both drinks and food on the happy hour but you cannot order any of the food until 530.

Are the half portions of pasta a decent size? Or will it likely leave you wanting more?

    They're decent portions.

    Any vegan friendly dishes?

No not really. Even the vegetable dishes have butter or cheese.

Do they have vegetarian options with no dairy?

You can order a margarita pizza with no cheese.

    When is happy hour?

    M - F, 4:00 - 6:00

Is there any gluten free options?

Yes they have gluten free pasta upon request!

The ambiance and feel of the bar is very "sultry" and "intimate." The mood lighting, dark paneling/interiors paired with the bar itself being lit to be the center of attention, lends itself to the secretiveness and LURE that a modernized speakeasy would provide. I truly enjoy stepping foot into this little hidden, but NOT so hidden, gem (which can be accessed from the interior to Talay). Service can be slow at times - especially when they are busy. However, the staff is usually always gracious, helpful, and willing to serve. The few great mixologists I've met there have also been very willing to break down how they make their drinks and really give us a glimpse into their world. So, I'm appreciative of that. That is not something that you can always expect at bars. As for the drinks (and food I'll glaze over), I am usually not left disappointed. I appreciate that seasonally they play with their drink menu and introduce new cocktails. I also love a handful of their signature drinks on the menu. This may be the only bar I've had a drink with Aperol in it that I actually ENJOYED (and not tolerated). The pricing can get high depending on what you order, but for the area and the going rate of a night out, they hold their own. Definitely don't pop into Noir if you are looking for an AFFORDABLE cocktail experience because the tab will creep up on you. The food is OKAY. They share a kitchen with Talay and offer some items not on the Talay menu - which is nice. However, I rarely eat when I visit, so the few times I have, it's been okay. Nothing to truly brag home about. I am happy, though, that they did start offering food because in the very beginning (when they first opened), that was not an option. Anyways, Noir Bar is GREAT (to me)! I will keep coming here and recommending it to others. It's also great for a date night or night out with your friends. It's in a decent location - but please take heed of parking in this area, as it can be challenging to find FREE street parking. However, there is parking available all around and in various garages nearby.

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list.
