AVOID! If you like small apartments poorly maintained with old dated appliances then you'll love these. I complained about one of the concrete steps being broken and creating a risk for tenants, including my wife and toddler.The "repair" was to epoxy the broken chunk back into place. They won't make any effort to renew leases and expect you to simply renew at their increased rental price. Refuse and expect a "cleaning " fee when you move out. read more

If you have dogs and they bark at all just beware that one of the shitty neighbors might complain about you and it only takes 2 times to end up with a notice on your door for "non-compliance" I've lived here for 7 months so far and have only had 2 complaints because I forgot to put on the bark collars when I left the house. I lived at The Cove for 15 months, and I had the best apartment living experience I've ever had. The management team was friendly, attentive, and always remembered me by name. They treated me fair, and when I moved out to move into a home, I didn't get slapped with a bunch of extra fees and charges for the apartment I lived in. The fellow residents at The Cove were also friendly and respectful. Before moving in, I read through the reviews and was nervous because of the (few) negative reviews I saw. I think one thing thats important to note is everyone who has a bad experience decides to leave a bad review, whereas maybe one out of ten of the people who have a great experience have the presence of mind to leave a note about it. Moving to a new place to live can be a stressful experience, but the team at The Cove is excellent, the apartments are comfortable, and the amenities are well taken care of. I have lived at the Cove for over 12 years, and it has been the Only & Best Community that I've ever lived. Back in November of this past year I had a serious issue where my oven went out. I reported the situation to Ms. Jenna. It was initially indicated that only emergencies would warrant a call for someone to look at over the weekend. To my surprise, she contacted David, one of the maintenance crew, and apprised him of the situation. When I arrived home he was exiting my apartment and told me that he had fixed the problem. Based on what he told me it appeared that a Power Surge took out the wiring that connected to the heating element. That's what I Love about the Cove. if there is a way, they'll get it fixed for you Right away. My hat is off to Ms. Jenna Cullen & David for taking Care of an important Situation for me right away! Update to previous: Transferred to another unit and set up rent pay with automatic deduction. Did not work and checked reviews and rent payment company only has one star out of five with similar complaints. From reviews company is in Asia. So this am have to take off job to get cashier's check. Oddest thing went into my account and paid there as well. So do not use good faith in setting up auto pay option. Also as safety issue, street racers have moved into apartment complex and use Bell Road as raceway. One of the kids even tried to get me to race?! Relocating next year and never letting my guard down again with the 'good faith' issue. About 17 years of good thoughts ruined. read more

I absolutely love living here. I moved here in September. The office management went out of its way to get my apartment cleaned a little sooner than normal so I could move in before I had to leave my last place. My apartment had new carpeting and the walls were painted. It looked so clean and beautiful to me. I get great sunlight in here. The complex is a little older and I can't really tell in my unit the age of the place. The upkeep is really impressive. I have had a few minor (and I mean MINOR) maintenance issues and they're always here in a timely manner. The maintenance staff is so kind. The office staff is so kind. I really feel appreciated as a tenant here every time I walk into the office. Everyone says hello. It's the little things like that that make this place feel like home to me. I love how pet friendly they are. Other tenants regularly have their dogs in the office. I don't currently have a pet but I know it would be more than welcome living here. I've never seen a place love animals so much. I work nights and sometimes come home late. There is a security officer in his car patrolling the property and that really blew me away when I first saw the car. I feel safe here. It's nice and quiet. The neighbors I encounter are kind which leads me to think they're happy here too. I really have no complaints. I can't stress enough how much this place is beginning to feel like home for me and I am so grateful and plan on staying here for years. I am from the area and was feeling a little bummed the rent is higher than it was years ago, but that's where Nashville is sadly headed, but these apartments had the best value for the price. I've seen other Hermitage residents complain about their apartments and I decided to leave this review for anyone who is looking to move to Hermitage. Check out The Cove. I moved into a unit on the first floor. I immediately was aware of the 200 pound Great Dane that lived above me and barked all day and night. The owner would leave the dog outside on the patio and leave. I complained to the office and their first response was - she has lived there for a very long time!@#$%^&*. I began calling the 'courtesy officer' during quiet hours. I also emailed recordings of the noise from all hours of the day. The management eventually offered me the choice to move to another unit BUT I had to sign a new 15 month lease (sound fishy, right). So instead of being stuck with a crappy management team for 1 year I would have been stuck there for 19 months! When I declined this offer they stopped answering my calls for the courtesy officer and stopped responding to my messages. After only 3 months I gave notice that I was moving. No one would schedule a final walk-thru with me either. They wanted thousands more dollars from me. I immediately contacted Tennessee Consumer Affairs and filed a complaint. I hear from there lawyer next and he is SEVERELY misinformed. I start sharing the emails, call records, and recordings of the sounds; suddenly he says he won't pursue more money if I drop the complaint (now that's REALLY fishy). read more

Our experience in four months of living at the Cove has been very frustrating. The first night we moved in someone attempted to rob us at gunpoint and which I drew my gun and walked away unharmed from the situation. About six weeks later someone stole an Amazon package off our front porch. When we went to the management about the situation they would let get out off our lease free of charge. Needless to say now they're charging me over $1600 to break our lease. Not only was it financially frustrating, the managers comment regarding the situation was, "your responsible for your own safety". Here's some things you should know before moving in here. There's a shared common fence with section 8 housing. Also, they have a contract with some of the local privatized universities and trade schools and there's quite a bit of night time activity from college students. It was frustrating trying to go to sleep and hearing the one guy from the diesel school revving his loud diesel truck 1030 at night. I hate to leave on bad terms and leave a bad review but It's hard for me to say anything nice about this place. read more

I recently moved into The Cove apartments. The staff has been extremely helpful and great to work with! I have a difficult schedule and they were willing to work with me to determine when I could move into the complex and assisted me to get the exact apartment I wanted. The complex is very quiet. I have had issues with prior complexes of hearing the neighbors and have not had that issue here. I was also very impressed at the cleanliness of the apartment when I moved in. I am somewhat OCD when it comes to cleaning and did not need to do any cleaning before moving in my things. Great place to live! Very limited utilities in the apartments for the price we paid. No ceiling fans, microwave, or light fixtures for a tiny 1 bedroom apartment and paid over 1,000 monthly while we waited for our house to be built. They will rob you on your final bill and add so many extra charges. It would have been cheaper to have it professionally cleaned before moving out than the bill they gave us for minor things (ex: drip pans that were stained and I attempted to clean before moving out). Also, be prepared for noisy neighbors at 3am and kids running all over the property. So glad to leave this place. read more

The Cove. It's one of the nicer places in Hermitage. I lived there for 5 years. The apartments themselves are nice and well kept. They are a little expensive compared to alot of other places around, but I think its worth it. I do agree with the loud a/c units, but whatever it's not that big of a deal to me. I still manage to sleep just fine. They have a effn magnificent pool area with 2 pools. Its like something from a resort and its always a good time there during the summer. Theres a nice workout area with treadmills and basic equipment. It's connected to the laundry mat they have, but that crap is expensive as well. I never had any issues with any staff and maintenance was always quick to fix any issues that were reported. Parking can get a little tricky if you get in after 8pm. Sure there are plenty of spots, but who wants to park 3 buildings away and walk at night. Its not a well lit parking area. Oh, one last thing, this pet thing is starting to be an issue. People seem to think its ok to let their dogs poop & pee anywhere even on the sidewalks. The Cove is working on this but I think more cameras would be the best deterrent. Really though, this is 1 of the best spots in Hermitage. Very convenient location, tons of stuff to do nearby especially if you are outdoors-type. Check them out! Ciao! read more

I moved in 10 months ago to the Cove overall it has been a good place to live the office staff is amazing and helpful; on my first night there my hot water was not working I went to the office and they had someone there to fix it within an hour. I love that package are not left at your doorstep but are left with management and you get an email and text messages to let you know that there is a package for you to pick up. Parking can be a bit of a challenge and there was a few times when I found bugs in the apartment; the AC was very loud and I could hear my Neighbor each time he would get up and walk around his apartment; the gates were never locked well not true the gat to leave work but the one to enter has never worked since I have been there. read more

I like The Cove apartments at first until I found out what they are really like. I'm a single mom of two kids and I had lived there for about 2 1/2 years. I was going to live there until I found a house to buy. I finally found a house to buy and I told The Cove and when I moved out they added so much CRAP to my final bill. I received it the first week I moved into my new house. I was distraught. I lost track because I was taking care of my kids and moving into our new house. I made one payment and just totally forgot about it. 4 month later I had a credit agency calling me telling me they sent me to collections and added $1000 on to my final bill. I was so furious!! The creditor told me there was nothing I could do and that I either pay the $2000 or I get this on my credit. I received not ONE phone call from that place. I thought they were more respectful then that ESPECIALLY after I was never a day late on my rent and I had already paid them so much money staying there. Becareful when you move out because they will add so much bullcrap to your final bill and not give you any time or curtesy to pay it off!! read more

Rather scary coming home at night plus you have to park sometimes in front of complex and walk back to your building in the dark-not safe. The price is very reasonable and the front desk is extremely helpful with any issues that may arise. Another positive is the quick action maintenance takes when you put in a service order, this was a great suprise because other places I have lived before it was like pulling teeth.
