The Cove is in a neat little alcove with a ramp to the lake that you'll see airboats using to stop in for a meal or while they're staying at the RV / cabin spots. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining with a great little playground for the kiddos. I appreciate the diversity of options on their menu, pretty much sports bar cuisine for anyone's interests. The portions are good and the food decent. My only suggestion for improvement is server attentiveness. Highly recommend not to sit by the bar as the bartenders are too busy to serve their tables. The Cove is worth a stop though for the vibe and fare. read more

We have been coming to the Cove for over 30 years and have seen it change hands a couple of times. I'm always a little leery when it does, but I think I can say that this is a positive change. We always feel welcome, the food is always good, the service is always excellent, we feel at home. Annie is our current favorite. read more

Great menu. Everything Ive had from burgers to hot wings to other sandwiches were really good. I particularly liked their French fries and Im not usually a French Fry person! There is some outside seating. A lot of bikers come here so it does get noisy but I wouldnt say there is anything too rowdy. Clean and well lit. Kids would feel fine there. read more

First off, good luck finding this without a gps, as there is no sign as to where to turn, unless you see the sign 1-2 miles before that tells you to just turn at the dollar general. I had a "So You Like Bacon" cheeseburger and it was so good. My husband had some delicious ribs. It is such a cute place and it was packed at 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon in May. Went here for lunch today with a local club - there were 40 of us! The staff did an AMAZING job of getting everyone's orders, drinks, meals and checks. If you aren't using Waze or Google, you need to know it's off of 44 back behind the Dollar General. There's no sign at the turn, but there is a big billboard a bit before the turn. It's a fun vibe with lots of memorabilia on the walls and good music playing. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a large selection of food options: wings, burgers, tacos, quesadillas, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. Plus a full bar. I had the mushroom swiss burger with a side salad. They also have gluten free buns - and they are good buns, not dry like a lot of gluten free bread. The burgers are really good - flame grilled, not greasy. One of the better burgers I've had in quite some time. My husband had the taco salad and it was large and full of good stuff - tomatoes, lettuce, cheese. It came with ranch dressing, sour cream and salsa. The shell was nicely crispy - he really enjoyed it. We also got a Roadhouse burger to go - cheeseburger with bacon and BBQ sauce and a side of smashed potatoes. My daughter really liked both. Fantastic. This out-of-the-way eatery is worth the drive. It sits in the woods near a river. It's one big dining room with stuff on the walls. Our meals were very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. My Mahi tacos were really good. Wife's pulled pork sandwich was perfect. We shall return to try other menu items. read more

Ok I just had to write a review. My wife and I came here for the first time. The chicken bacon ranch wrap was outstanding but this is not about the food or atmosphere which were both really great. This place is fully staffed with a crew that hustles, cleans, and works so well together. We are getting so tired of places that are so understaffed and lack service and attention to customers. It is so nice to see this, especially younger people not standing there talking to each other ignoring customers. These folks are moving and working soooo hard. That is a sign of a very well managed business and we really appreciate it!!! read more

This is a hidden gem! We camped here for 3 nights and ate at the cove multiple times. Every time it was outstanding. The chicken wings were awesome but the 10 oz ribeye was to die for! Perfect! The dressing was horrible store bought and put into small cups with lids. Now I can always tell how the meal going to be by the coleslaw. It was bad with some sort of seasonings that I could pin it down. We also ordered some chicken wings. They were good but nothing home to write Mother. Let us move on to the servers. The Mahi Tacos would have been better if the sauce was also at the bottom around the fish. By the time you got to the fish it was dry. Took one home and mixed everything up and it was phenomenal. Lunch for 2 for a little over $47 not bad. Service was good for an extremely busy restaurant. Off the beaten path, but well worth it. Took a trip to this out of the way restaurant behind the Dollar General store at about 5 PM on a Friday for or fish fix. Renee , our server was training a new gal so we had double speed service. Our friend grouper sandwich was very tasty with chips home made on the side. The fish and chips had a small and large option with the difference being one more fish portion. We had called in a reservation ... upon arrival we were seated immediately and a server took our drink orders, Service was fast and friendly. Burgers seem to be a specialty. My selection was a "BIG ASS BURGER." Someone in the group ordered the "HALF ASS BURGER" saying that the size didn't seem to be very different. I asked for well done fries and they were well ... done. I hate having to come out here, and say anything but the service was absolutely terrible, the waitress was very nice, but she was not getting anywhere from the moment we got here. The table next to us, got here 15 minutes after us, and they got served first and they left before us and we were here for almost 2 hours and it took us at least 30 minutes to get out order taken, and when they did they also forgot one of the orders so that was an extra 20 minutes, our waitress barely came to our table and the waitress that was serving, the table next to us came multiple times to help us out, one of the managers or maybe one of the owners was the one that took our order. The food was great, but everything else was just not okay, I understand that people get busy and that they have a lot going on, but at the same time there is no reason to give such terrible service, we were not being difficult, we were not being rude at all, one of the managers from the bar came out, and at first all he said is that he was going to comp our beverage drinks, but did not say anything about the burger that was delayed because they forgot to write it down. So we had to call him again, one more time, so that could be done. He also kept saying that the server was a new server, she might have been at this restaurant, but our table had seen her in another restaurant before and it was the same service, so it felt like an excuse. read more
