This bar was brought to my attention as a solid choice for a dive bar.The exterior facade kept my expectations low but I was pleasantly surprised when I walked inside. ENVIRONMENT The interior decorator deserves an award!!!! There is a vintage charm to their long wooded bar counter and plush leather booths. The bartender seemed to sway between slightly annoyed yet prompt when needed which is exactly what I desire in a dive bar. As other reviews have referenced, there's a Photo Booth and several doing ping pong machines scattered throughout the back of the establishment. SIPS I was made aware that happy hour runs until 9pm and the prices were a STEAL. I paid $8 for an "old fashioned" which is well below average and it wasn't watered down which was surprising. In reflection, don't judge a book by its cover because my expectation of a traditional dive bar were eviscerated when I stepped inside the Coyote Club. The only aspects of the bar that resembled a dive bar were the service, prices and tagged out mirrors in the bathroom. It's worth a visit. Happy Sips! read more

I came here with a few friends for drinks on a Tuesday night. The bar is super cozy; think lots of wood paneling. They also have a Photo Booth and pinball machines. The drinks were affordable. We aren't reinventing the wheel here but this is a really great bar and I would come back in a heartbeat. read more

BEASTED! Decided to visit this cool cash only bar while in Brooklyn for the weekend. They had a vintage photo booth and pinball machines which added to the charm. I do wish the games had been free and that there was more seating for two tops. Aside from that though, the place was great! Well drinks were not overpriced. Dear owner have your bartender complete the ATAP / Responsible alcohol service training and highly recommend they complete the TIPS certification (or other alcohol server certificate) As a bartender myself who was off on nye night for the first time in 5 years. I came here on nye and waited about 15 minutes to talk to someone about a drink - no biggie it's a holiday and super busy BUT the chopped female bartender who's tall and looks south asian saw me waiting and being patient/polite and the bartenders offered free champagne to everyone who came after me for a drink and everyone who came up around me were helped first even though she saw me. After 15 mins still not helped the ball dropped and it was officially 2026! No biggie that we still haven't gotten drinks yet at that point but pls take care of people in order especially if you saw them first. I waved hi to her when she saw me and she rudely couldn't say it to my face but told the short white bald heavy bartender to come over to us instead (I'm only being rude cuz their attitude was unacceptable) he came over first and I asked if there was champagne left - and I was willing to pay for it and he said "no" and walked away and continued to pour champagne for himself and his coworkers behind the bar fully ripping shots with his coworkers while on the clock and sipping champagne that a customer had asked and wanted to pay for. So the chopped south Asian girl bartender walks over finally and YELLED mimicking my hi and wave back 3 times and waved her dirty hand in my face. Please have the owner or HR check the security footage at 12:06am of 01/01/2026 right side of the bar closest to the dj set, and strongly recommend to correct this behavior. I waved right back and she said, "happy new year what do you want." I said "happy near year" back and looked at my boyfriend who was about to order a beer and i had a cash $100 tip in my hand to just treat the hardworking bartenders for the holidays and instead told my bf "lets go somewhere else" so glad I saved that for someone else who deserved it. We live behind the street of this bar and have heard from neighbors that it's very weird in there and the bartenders have super weird energy and discriminate you if you don't have a certain vibe like them. I'm legit a poc as well and just wanted to have a nice night out close by and I'll never be back thanks to the rude bartender girl who doesn't know how to bartend like how can you be both chopped and rude please pick a struggle. read more

I was there early evening on a weekend night and the vibe was low-key and mellow. They have decent happy hour offerings and someone seated nearby me was enjoying a hot dog. Cash only bar with an ATM that hardly works. Was here a couple weeks ago and tried to use the ATM. Transaction went through, but cash was not dispensed. ATM then displayed an out of order message. When I notified the bartender, they seemed very annoyed and told me they had been restarting the machine all night. On a better than average night it's like the black lodge in twin peaks. Rustic mid-century wood paneling, horse motifs. Short androgynous people dancing and guys your straight girlfriends will gush over because they are 10 feet tall and nothing else. After three vodka crans your vision is getting blurry. You focus. The dj is 90 years old. You focus again. Some of these people are republicans. There's nowhere to put your coat. The music is thankfully good because it's the only thing you'll hear, and now it's drowning out the ten foot man who is bent at a ninety degree angle to explain his start up job to your friend. Pretty good spot on a pretty empty spot on Throop Avenue. The beer shot combos are on point. Decent mixed drinks and cocktails made. Pinball, photo booth, and some nice booths. Definitely great for groups. Good music playing. My only knock is I don't get places taking cash only anymore. TLDR; They allow patrons to smoke inside of covered outdoor seating area. My boyfriend and I wanted to unwind at the end of the week and check out a new spot in the neighborhood and found ourselves here. Walking up, I noticed people smoking at the open air tables setup alongside the building. We took a seat at a picnic table inside of the three sided shelter (read: enclosed roof & side). We're having our drinks and another party arrives and sits at the picnic table roughly 3-4 feet away from us. One person lights up a cig at the table Second person lights up a cig at the table A THIRD person lights up a cig Waitress: Are you ok? Boyfriend: There are three people smoking inside of a structure with enclosed roof and side. Waitress: I can move you to another table Me: We SHOULD'NT have to move. Waitress: looks super confused and does not address the table of THREE smokers to either move or extinguish cigarettes. The smokers over hear the convo and move from underneath the shelter to finish their cigarettes. I'm fairly sure smoking is not permitted in outdoor covered spaces in NYC. My boyfriend and I were having a drink mind our law abiding business when the people in the table next to us are being permitted to violate NYC regulations. This bar is a great addition to the neighborhood, and I've only been inside for a splec to use the bathroom. I sit with the local posse who had previously occupied the sidewalk beneath the scaffolding across the street. Now, these very special people have a great outdoor shed with picnic tables for their small community of friends, and while I was worried about 'gentrification' the opposite has occurred; rather than exclusion, any and all are welcomed, which in itself enables respect, and reflects the humanism that the 'Black Lives Matter' movement is supposed to engender. The bar is beautiful inside, and has everything a socializing drinker needs. That the outside has become beautiful in another way is inspiring. read more

Cute spot that seems to attract every mullet haircut within a 100-mile radius. My friend and I arrived at 8pm on a Saturday to a very relaxed ambience and were able to enjoy conversation over the music. The bar had a homey yet classy feel to it with a solid wood interior and light southwestern decor, pinball machines and an old school photo booth in the back. They had a nice draft selection and a thorough cocktail menu for cash only. Beers were in the dreaded NYC $6-8 range and cocktails went for $10-13. By 10 or 11 the place started filling up and people started dancing - they bumped the music and the sound system was really good. At that point I felt like I was in Williamsburg watching a bunch of retro looking hipsters jam out to 80s country/pop rock. Interesting place! I live about 2 blocks away from this place, so I was pretty excited when my roommate told me about the new bar near by. Decided to have my birthday here over the weekend and it was perfect! The minute I stepped inside i knew i wanted to host it here--the interior is super cute with giant booths, and the all-wood and christmas lights across the bar makes it feel very cozy and warm. Since it was my birthday I ended up trying (for better or worse) 90% of the cocktail menu and honestly there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. Miguel the bartender was also super nice and attentive, but all of the staff was great! I even started talking to the DJ later who played some fun stuff that a bunch of us started dancing to. We also loved using the photobooth in the corner--great way to have mementos of the evening. We were also able to bring a small cake since they don't serve food at the bar except for small snacks. My ONLY complaints are 1) they're cash only, would be nice if they took card but there are worse things, 2) Not an expensive bar but also certainly not cheap, which I more would have expected for that part of bed-stuy) and 3) that they only serve water in tiny (but fancy) glasses that you had to ask at the bar for. I much prefer places that keep out a large tap that you can drink from at your leisure. Not drinking enough water is usually a sure-fire way for me to always have a hang over. All in all, and excellent new addition to the neighborhood that I'll definitely be back for both small and large gatherings :) And, to the revewier who posted just before me, sounds like I was probably that hipster in the retro garb!
