I bought a coupon for 2 hours of house cleaning through Eversave. Had no problem booking an…read moreappointment, but the day before, Erin called to tell me their housekeeper had a car towed and wouldn't be able to make it. Since I was hosting an event at my house the next day, I told her I absolutely couldn't reschedule, and to her credit she said, "OK, this is not your problem...I will find someone to clean your house." The housekeeper showed up on time...a very nice young man, wearing dress clothes (?). He immediately told me this was his first time doing this. I have a 900 square-foot condo and he spent an hour in my 12x12 bedroom. When I went in to check it out, the floor had wet mop lint all over it, the window was filmy, and nothing was put back where it had been, including furniture that he had moved. The floors looked dull, so I asked him to use my wood floor cleaner instead. (I think he used Simple Green on everything. I hate that stuff...sticky sticky!) He proceeded to the second bedroom, where I had a bunch of stuff stored. I told him he didn't need to move any of the stuff, just clean around it. He moved all of the stuff. AND, he didn't put anything back where it belonged. He then moved to the kitchen. I don't know what he did in there, but it did look fairly clean with the exception of the counters, which were filmy. Again, he didn't put anything back where it belonged. After the kitchen was the bathroom, then after 3 hours total, he told me he was done. I looked at the living room and asked him if he cleaned it and he said yes. It was hard to tell, because everything from my kitchen (trash can, recycling bin, stools, cat dishes, etc.) as well as everything he used to clean was in the living room. He said "the lady" told him to only spend two hours but he spent three because he wanted to do a good job. Bless his heart. I was so anxious to get him out of there that I didn't check anything else. Turns out he didn't touch a thing in the living room. And every object he moved to clean was left somewhere else. I was so disgusted that I spent the next two hours re-cleaning my entire condo. I called to complain, and Erin very sweetly offered to send out another housekeeper on another date. Since my event was the next day, that didn't help me much. She said that Urban Spoon couldn't refund my money since I paid Eversave, and that I should contact them for a refund. WAY too much trouble to get my $35 back. My other option was to schedule another cleaning in the future at no cost. She didn't give me any formal confirmation of this, just "her word." This company cannot clean their way out of a paper bag, and I will not be using them again.

Particularly because I want to…read moregive a good review to those who offer groupons and discounts, to thank them for the price break - and to appreciate good customer service and feedback (such as the comment from the management below). But I cannot . . . I booked an appointment for the middle of April. I understand they oversold their groupons, so I tried to be as flexible as possible and worked with them to find a possible time. I arranged my schedule, so I can be home to let the housekeeper in (not that easy a task). I do this, because I want someone to come before I have company this weekend. I get a call a few days before . . . a matter-of-fact attitude stating that my appointment was changed to JUNE 15TH. That's right, two months from now. No, Urban Spoon. You will not come on June 15th. I don't even know what my cleaning needs will be then, so I have no idea how you think you do. I want my house clean before my company comes, NOW, not when I'm pretty sure I'll be on vacation. Had I known, I would of scheduled someone else. After my FIFTH attempt of calling them (no call back - even a call directly to the gentleman writing below soliciting my comments) - I got through. The representative was very kind and apologetic and promised to re-book the next day (with complimentary ceiling fan and floor board cleaning as an apology). I don't have fans, but fine. This will get the job done before my company comes. So I was going to overlook this whole June 15th business . .. I cancel a meeting, TAKE TIME OFF WORK and go home to meet the housekeeper and . . . nothing. No one comes. I call - get through! - and am told - no, your appointment is in June. I said - no, it was re-booked YESTERDAY. Again, the representative was very apologetic and said he would get someone there as soon as possible. But no one comes. No one calls to apologize. Nothing. And now, my company is here. Awesome.

Adrienne and Elizabeth are seriously the BEST wedding planners in all of New England and more!…read moreHiring them as wedding planners was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and really made wedding planning a breeze. So many of my friends would often ask, "How is wedding planning going?" And I'd say, "I'm not doing much!" and that's really what it is like to work with wedding planners. I know it is a splurge, but if you're super super busy, have a lot of things to deal with, are planning from a distance, I cannot imagine planning without wedding planners. Here's what the process worked like for me: 1) During the initial set up, Adrienne and Elizabeth went over with me all of the things we had to do during the course of wedding planning - which vendors to book, approximate milestones, etc. 2) I shared with them my vision for what I wanted my wedding to look like - black and white with touches of pink, and they really helped affirm a lot of my ideas! They even came up with the really really unique idea of having a black and white dance floor, which I didn't know was possible. It was a great and unique touch to my wedding 3) GLE took care of all the contracts and back and forth with various vendors, which helped cut down on time on my end. They also found this great hidden gem of a venue for me that fit my vision - a grass field with trees, and a spot to have a tented wedding. I would NEVER had found this venue by searching on my own as they're not frequently advertised in wedding magazines or in blogs. I was also planning long distance - from New York, NY, and couldn't be onsite to visit vendors as often, so I relied on GLE to handle a lot of the Boston-side things. 4) They're always around to answer some of the questions that as a bride you just don't know the answer to! Like... how much are you supposed to tip everyone? How many hotel room blocks should I be holding? 5) They did so many last minute things like... pick up a bunch of candy jars for me for my candy buffet, set up my escort card display, help me with my veil, inflate helium balloons and set them up at the entrance to my wedding ceremony, clean up 6) They also attended my tasting with my caterer (YUMMY) and helped handle several last minute issues that happened along the way of wedding planning. These things always happen! And if it weren't for GLE, I would have had a much harder time figuring out how to troubleshoot things. I had a BLAST at my wedding - I wasn't running around trying to take care of things. On the day of everything that was under our control ran so smoothly (let's face it, you can't control the weather or a guest arriving late - but man, I had a perfect day). I had so much fun I slept so soundly the day after ;) I can't recommend them enough, and I've had several friends of mine use GLE as well for their wedding planners. I'm so happy to have them as my friends, and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone that is looking for a fantastic set of wedding planners!

I was really impressed with the number of hors d'oeuvres on offer, as well as the variety! We noshed on mini hamburgers, chicken on biscuits, baby cubans, some cheesy thing (I thought it was a quiche but my roommate said it was a quesadilla), and some kind of rice ball with dipping sauce. And the desserts! Whoa. Chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick, anyone? How about chocolate mousse cups? Chocolate chip cookies? Yes, please. I'm pretty sure they also brought the bartender, who served up some stiff drinks. These guys were professional, efficient, and made some seriously tasty food. Word.

The biggest compliment I have is there response time. Even if someone was on vacation, I always got an email or phone call within 24 hours of reaching out. When I went for the food tasting in May 2019, Dayna made sure all of our special requests were met. She went above and beyond to help us create our own specialty menu to accommodate gluten, dairy and garlic allergies. Prior to the wedding, Dayna and Nora set up a walk through at our venue. They knew exactly what needed to be accomplished and just made sure I was on the same page as them. No thinking necessary! By the time my wedding day arrived I had no second thoughts or nerves about Cuisine Chez Vous because we had gone through multiple plans and had all of our vendors on the same email chain which was a breath of fresh air. When I arrived at the wedding venue everything was even better than the photos I provided! The flowers, tables and linens, plates, glass wear, food and beverages were all provided by CCV making them the perfect vendor for me, a bride who lives 14 hours away from where she is getting married. The food of course was phenomenal but the service is what I'll remember the most. At any point in the night, you could get your wine, liquor or water glass filled. The best man joked there was no reason for him to get up because food and drinks were constantly being brought to the table! In regards to drinks, those were poured perfectly for a crowd that is more into shots than mixed drinks. I could go on and on about this company and its employees. I wish I could host a wedding every year just so I could work with them! Thanks Dayna, Marissa and Nora for the best wedding a girl could imagine :) Shannon & Jordan

We talked to Ron over email and met up with him before the wedding to discuss music options. He had GREAT suggestions and was open to working with us even when my husband and I changed our first dance song multiple times (sorry Ron!). The website to set everything up was very easy and nice to be able to pick exactly what songs we wanted for different parts of the night so Ron could get a feel for what type of music we were looking for.
