I recently had the privilege of attending a production of Urinetown the musical, produced by South…read moreShore Theatre Works. This was my second time visiting Stetson Hall as well as the second SSTW production I have seen. Stetson Hall is located in the heart of Randolph. A historic building set at the four corners of North Street, S Main Street, Union Street, and N Main Street. The building is handicapped accessible with a working elevator to the second level. The bathrooms are also handicapped accessible. There is plenty of parking and an entrance on S Main Street and Union Street. There is also a large parking lot next door should it become necessary. As an audience member, there is not a bad seat in the house. The seating is typical banquet hall seats. They are not terribly comfortable however. I would recommend bringing a seat cushion. The production itself was wonderful. As I mentioned this was the second SSTW production I had the privilege of viewing and I loved every minute of it. Check out their upcoming productions at www.southshoretheatreworks.com/.

I was at Stetson Hall as a photographer to cover an Indian Wedding. I would assume that it is not…read moreas expensive as a Marriott or a Four Season's hotel but the place is fine for a wedding if you are in a budget. Secondly, it is a historic place. Thirdly, it is big. The indian wedding I covered has 250 guests and I didn't feel that it was crowded. There is a stage where you can put the presidential table or DJ and there is a mezzanine at the back which overlooks the reception floor. (See attached pictures.) As to the formal photo shoot, there is a park with a gazebo 3 minutes away from Stetson Hall. But with this wedding I covered, the bride chose to do the formal photo shoot in a friend's house in Stoughton. But I see no problem of doing the formal photo shoots in Stetson Hall itself. I think the bride hired her caterer and her own dj. So most probably, you just get the hall when you rent it. I think the caterer hired was also the one who decorated the hall as they were the ones fixing the tables with decorations. I would recommend Stetson Hall for a bride who is in a budget. But all in all, the guests had a lot of fun as they hired a DJ plus an indian drum crew. I give Stetson Hall a 4 star. It is conveniently located too in the South Shore.

The Ballroom for our dinner and dancing was elegant. Service was impeccable, passed hors d'oeuvres and buffet were outstanding. Planning, communication and coordination ahead of time was all that you could hope for. I highly recommend for your next function.

We have just returned from a Jack and Jill baby shower at the Neighborhood Club of Quincy. Having…read moreattended many showers over the years we were pretty sure about what to expect, a pleasant afternoon celebrating the coming of the new baby and parents. To our delight this event went above and beyond the usual shower celebration First, we noted the Neighborhood Club offers several spaces where a shower can be held. Our gracious event manager Christina, who had attended to every detail in the planning of the occasion, guided us to the "Living Room," a cozy and relaxed area with its own cocktail lounge and lovely décor. The Living Room, which was festively decorated by the hosting family is both comfortable and elegant. When seasonally appropriate event planners can request the stately fireplace to be lit. Guests immediately seemed to feel at home as they came into the room. The staff was very efficient in preparing the buffet brunch, including both breakfast and lunch choices, as well as accommodating guests' food needs. Our meals were delicious. We especially enjoyed the variety of choices including salads, vegetables, breakfast rolls, quiche, fresh haddock, and chicken piccata. More than a few of us returned to the buffet for seconds. As we gathered together the Neighborhood Club's welcoming setting and attentive staff made this a very memorable and happy time for family and friends to celebrate.

Great venue for kids party. I had my Godson's party in the gymnasium, this venue was perfect. I…read morenever knew the gymnasium was rentable, I only thought it was the actual house. I also added the jump house, which was a big hit. We were able to unplug it when it came time for our arts and craft for the kids, and plugged it back in when we were done with the activities. We were able to set up the tables the way we wanted so that, we can use the center for the games and activities we had planned. I booked it with Ann who is the Marketing associate, she is very professional and friendly, we stayed in contact via email up about 48 hours prior to my event. We went over the contract the day I signed, and a few days before my event to go over everything such as rules and the start/end time. I met with Frank the facilities Manager in the beginning and at the end of my event, he was also very professional and friendly. Overall the party was great, many people reached out to me on info so they can plan future events at this location. If you want to deal with professional, friendly people I'd definitely say book here. Last thing to keep in mind if you plan on setting up decor/balloons you will need to add additional time to your contract for setting up and also for cleaning up at the end of your event.

After calling 20+ places, the Community House answered promptly and worked efficiently to ensure we could have the party less than two days later. The gym was a perfect place to hold a party for kids. They were able to run around and play out of the toy closet. We were also grateful for the chairs and tables that were made available for no extra charge. I'll definitely be remembering them for future parties and would recommend them without hesitation.
