Venue. Food and Staff were fantastic. Highly recommended by a 40 year veteran DJ who has been to 1000s of venues. This place was great with plenty of room to dance!

What a great banquet hall i just hosted my daughters sweet 16 this past Saturday & i have to say I'm so impressed. Trish & John you guys are a god send everything was so easy to plan & they were both so accommodating. The staff during the party were so attentive & sweet i will definitely be hosting more parties here. Great food & phenomenal service

Celebrated my husband's 60th Birthday here with around 40 guests and it was WONDERFUL! My party planner Trish was extremely helpful, nice and very generous. The staff went out of their way to make us all feel welcomed and so happy. I will be having all my future big parties at the Cranford Social! Thanks again for everything. Alicia Lopez

If you want to host an amazing, elegant, effortless event, I HIGHLY recommend The Cranford Social! From start to finish, their team provided friendly, professional, impeccable service! We worked with Trish, John, Michelle, Paul and Riley. They were helpful, flexible and accommodating, every step of the way! Our guests LOVED the food and drinks, as well as the venue itself, which is immaculate and has beautiful large windows, with a lovely view overlooking the river! As the venue is on the second floor, it was nice that they have an elevator, especially for some of our older guests. What was most impressive though, and what sets The Cranford Social apart, is their team! They clearly love what they do! They were warm and gracious, treating all of our guests like part of their family. They assisted us in every way, from set-up (i.e., helping us with decorations that we brought to the venue) to clean-up. As our event was a bridal shower, there was a lot of ongoing clean-up (tissue paper, bows, etc.), so they helped us to keep the floor clear throughout the event. They also kindly provided lovely background music (of our choosing!) and a microphone, so that we could more easily communicate with all of our guests and keep the event on track. It was a blessing to work with John and Trish, who guided us with the event planning, and who were responsive via email and phone whenever we had a question! The cost was also very reasonable, and we didn't need a party planner because their team efficiently took care of EVERY detail to help us to throw a FLAWLESS event, during which, all of our guests had a lot of FUN and an overall WONDERFUL time!

The Cranford Social was an amazing location to host an event! From the time I started planning my daughters first birthday Trish and John were responsive and overly accommodating to anything I asked. The day of the party went even better! The food was delicious and staff was absolutely incredible. I have no doubt that I plan to host many more parties there!

Very impressed with the party I attended tonight! My parents threw a 30TH Birthday Party for my sister at Cranford Social with a total of around 40 guests including children. This is a very nice, medium sized banquet hall. The staff was very polite, food was descent for this fun event and the drinks where consistently good! Unfortunately I don't live close by, because I would definitely throw a party here for a small to mid sized occasion.

Love this establishment. We frequent here for our job Christmas parties. I'm also using this establishment for a church function in April.

We didn't book just because the price was out or my budget but the room alone was absolutely beautiful and the owner was very personable!

After spotting a social media post about the garden's Cascade fountain reopening after a 16-month restoration, my walking companion and I decided to check out this hidden gem. Greenwood Gardens was a private family estate until 2003, when it opened to the public under the auspices of a non-profit organization, and you can really feel that rich tapestry of the families' history as you wander through the grounds. The highlight of our visit was the Cascade fountain, which now features water flowing through it for the first time since the early 20th century! If you're looking for a peaceful, historic, and beautiful place to stroll, Greenwood Gardens is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back! Pro Tip #1: Plan on about 75-90 minutes for a self-guided walking tour, buy tickets online in advance ($15 for adults aged 14 to 64; $10 for Seniors aged 65+; $5 for children aged 5 to 13), and wear weather-appropriate attire/walking shoes. Pro Tip #2: Leave your tripod at home. Casual photos on your phone are welcome, but portrait or staged photography (for events, engagements, graduations, etc.) requires prior permission and special facility booking.

Really friendly staff gave the kids a scavenger hunt page that turned our visit into part garden tour, part treasure hunt. Between the terraces, tile work, grottoes, and gardens, the whole place blends European formality with a whimsical, art nouveau vibe. Plenty of benches invite you to sit and talk, while fenced-in chickens, geese, and beehives bring the grounds to life. The gardens feel peaceful, playful, and magical all at once. The beauty here is truly un-beleaf-able! NOTES/TIPS: **Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors/students, and $5 for kids, with free parking close by. **Very limited wheelchair-accessibility: okay for the Main Terrace and some flat areas, but most paths are sloped or uneven, so access is limited. **Restrooms near the entrance.

Anyway, since then I've been back 3 more times; once for breakfast and twice for brunch. And while I'm confessing, the two times for lunch were on subsequent days. Yeah, they're that good. Actually, their chicken salad on a croissant is the best I've ever had and in my advanced years I've had a crapload of chicken salad. The bi-level bar and lounge was dark, swanky, and seductive. It would make an excellent spot for dates or groups of friends, like mine. We started off sitting at the bar, as there were no large tables available upon our arrival. However, after about 15 minutes, the host approached to tell us that he could actually seat us. I picked up my glass, which was wet with condensation, and it slipped out of my hands. I was able to collect it with only a minor spill, but the host insisted that the bar staff make me a new cocktail in case the glass had chipped at all. It was a considerate gesture that I greatly appreciated. Plus, since I had already taken a few sips, I was thrilled to get those back in a new glass! In terms of my cocktail of choice, I had opted for the Hot Tijuana Tease, a fiery blend of mezcal, blanco tequila, chile poblano liqueur, and lime juice. So, it was essentially a spicy margarita, and it was excellent. There were clean, crisp notes of peppery heat balanced with layers of robust smoke. My only complaint about the lounge was that the bathrooms were beyond tiny. There were two unisex stalls in a very tight alcove that also included a cramped sink counter. It was awkward and uncomfortable to share that space with another patron. Aside from that, the Hide Rooftop was a beautiful place with a friendly staff and interesting drinks.

The venue itself is decent, especially the back garden room, which is the nicest space in my opinion. It has large glass windows and a nice ambiance, especially in the evening. However, they often have multiple events going on at once, and if your party isn't clearly directed to the right room, it can get confusing. Parking is free but limited, and it can be a hassle depending on how busy the night is. Food is hit or miss since it's usually buffet-style. Some items are okay. Like the spare ribs they're known for but overall it doesn't always taste freshly prepared and can sometimes be overly salty. The bar is also inconsistent; I've had well-made drinks, but other times they've been watered down. On one visit, I even found a bug in my drink, but the bartender did replace it without issue. On the positive side, the staff is consistently friendly, accommodating, and service is usually quick. Overall, it's a decent spot for casual events like birthdays or retirement parties, but not ideal for anything more upscale or polished in my opinion.
