It was a blend of vanilla custard, fresh strawberries and hard-shell chocolate. It looked so delicious in the clear plastic cup, all three of the ingredients were swirled together. I would have taken a picture to capture the beauty, but with the high temperatures I just started to devour my sweet treat. I was sitting on their spacious patio, so it was melting fast and I was trying to eat it as quickly as it was melting. I would have preferred to been able to slowly eat it and truly enjoy the rich flavor of the custard and strawberries. However, sipping on the melted custard with the chunks of chocolate, did make for a nice treat, too. I'm coming back to try some of the food. The inside dining room was filled with senior citizen couples enjoying lunch. If it's good enough for them, I am confident I'll enjoy it, too. The young staff working the service window were friendly and very professional. They've been trained well, in providing quality customer service.

The three of us got a traditional milk boba tea, a whipped dalgona coffee boba drink, an apple cinnamon taiyaki, and a Nutella taiyaki (the spouse ordered a red bean paste so I wouldn't steal any bites, but, lucky me, they gave us a Nutella by mistake). EVERYTHING was delicious! The spouse was familiar with taiyaki, but the two I tried were my firsts. They nearly melted in my mouth, they were so perfectly cooked. I got my whipped dalgona at 25% sweetness, and it was perfect. The kiddo's milk tea tastes on Earl Gray, and it was buenísimo, too! I want that next time. I can't wait to come back.

Trying to watch my sodium intake, I like it when chefs are light handed when shaking the salt into a recipe. The atmosphere is like stepping back into the 50's. You truly will feel as if you left the sock hop and stopped by the local soda shop for a bite. I'll give you a heads up, the outside is junky with a lot of weird stuff. Ignore the decor on the outside and head straight into the diner for a good home cooked meal. The service was impressive. One waitress was taking care of the entire small dining room. That is a good and a bad thing. It's good for their bottom line and a bad thing for my waistline and weight. At least when I walk there, I am burning some of the calories I will consume.
