Guastavino's is located under the 59th street bridge. The easiest way for me to get from the financial district/seaport area in NYC was to take a UBER to Guastavino's. It took approximately 45 minutes to get to the event space, leaving around 4:00 P.M. There is a beautiful garden out in front for great photo ops. For the gala, the venue had situated several seats outside for the photos. As soon as you enter the building, you'll notice all of the glass windows at the entrance side. The ceilings are high and the architecture is just outstanding. The venue is located underneath the Queensboro bridge. The first floor had an open bar and plenty of space to network with other attendees. Seats were pretty limited though. After an hour, the team at Guastavino's guided all of the guests to the second level. There is a staircase or an elevator that you can use to go up to the second level. On the second level, all of the tables were situated and set. There were over 50 different tables that seated 9 per table. You could easily see all of the elements from the Queensboro bridge in the interior architecture. During the evening, you could hear some of the traffic above the bridge. It was interesting. There is another open bar area on the second level. The menu consisted of three courses, an appetizer, the main entrée and dessert. The appetizer was pre-set at 7:00 P.M and it included spinach couscous with additional vegetables. The main entrée was a filet with mashed potato and a red wine reduction sauce. The dessert included small bites such as red velvet cakes and chocolate mousse. All of the food was delicious! The service was outstanding and the venue was phenomenal. If you're looking to host an event in NYC, you should take a look at Guastavino's.
