I arrived at 2pm on a weekday and the guy was doing a deep clean while I ate my sandwich. Love this. I got The Emma - no clue how they arrived at this name. It's one of their more spicy steak sandwiches and includes kimchi and Broccoli rabe - absolutely one of the most memorable sandwiches I've consumed. While I was there - a food blogger came in and shot a video. This place is no secret. My only "issue" is that the food is expensive. I TOTALLY get they are using high end ingredients - organics - locally sourced - etc. those items are not cheap. But my sandwich was normal sized - no pickle or any add on item - and I ate in but was not offered a plate or a fork. It's a deli. Very Good but not great! It's pricy, $30 dollars for a sandwich but they are not cheap with meat let me tell you - - - LOADED with steak. As much as I loved Jack's Gusto sandwich, the Charrua Bravo (Steak) takes the sandwich wars to a whole other level!!!! I ordered the steak sandwich as medium rare but by the time I took it out it was well done. ***NORMALLY*** I would be upset because a well done steak is to dry, tough and chewy to bite into, *BUT* surprise this is NOT the case with the Charrua Bravo!!! It was incredibly moist and tender and still juicy. So much for mouth feel. Let's talk about the most important variable TASTE. The staff was nice, and the service was quick since my order was ready by the time of pickup. I ordered the M1 Venezia Moon Sandwich. The Italian herbs seasoning they used was delicious and flavorful. The bread was also nice and soft which I liked. The size of the sandwich was very big and kept me full. However, a huge downside is the Chicken Milanese was not crispy at all, like advertised on their menu. Instead, it was grilled and very soft. It lacked mozzarella cheese and balsamic glaze, so I wish they added more of that. Lastly, it was a bit pricey for a sandwich ($17), and considering it wasn't exactly how they described it, I don't think it was worth the price. Rate 7/10. Next on my list was Montagu's Gusto which sells both hot and cold Italian specialities (they also sell breakfast items, rice bowls, soups, salads and other foods). The first thing that stuck out to me from their menu was their wide variety of breads. For any of the sandwiches you order, you can choose to substitute for another type of bread. Among the bread options are Balthazar ciabatta , filocino hero, strecci doppio hero and more. I knew right away that u wanted to order a chicken cutlet sandwich. I went with the God Mother which is chicken cutlet with mozzarella cheese balsamic glaze arugula and red peppers. I asked for mine lightly toasted. Weirdly mine didn't arrive with either arugula or peppers, but I didn't mind frankly. The sandwich was very big. You certainly get your moneys worth. They give you a generous amount of chicken and mozzarella. The chicken was very well seasoned. Overall, it was quite good. In terms of how it stacks up to the other sandwich places on my nyc list, I'm still deliberating. I would certainly order again though. read more

I called them about the pickles and they said that's extra and I said we could have paid for it and why didn't they tell me and they said with delivery, they get notes all the time from customers and ignore them. I tried the Buffon, which had fresh, melted cheese and soft bread just the way I like Yum!
