Some people in this town might complain about the price, so don't go here if you don't have an appreciation for wine and descent food and really good service.

You can choose from a selection of each. We went with a mild Quebec bleu, soft French cheese, duck prosciutto, and cured sausage. They were served with plenty of baguette, gerkins, olives, honey, mustards, and chutney along with apple slices. The chef served the plate and explained each item. It was a terrific, relaxed way to enjoy everything. The wine menu is very carefully selected and are available by the carafe, glass, or small glass. While some of the wine prices may be higher than typical house wines, it is a fantastic way to try a wine without having to buy an entire bottle. Some of the wines would be out of our household budget so it was a treat to be able to try just a glass. There are special housemade cocktails, beer, port, and more tiny plate options. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff was terrific. This is a perfect place to stop when you want a light bite but really thoughtfully selected food.

I first came during Summerlicious 2024 and they weren't serving their regular menu, so I HAD to…read morereturn to experience their tried & true dishes. We've dined indoors and in their outdoor covered patio - overall a romantic traditional space and I particularly liked that the patio was secluded with greenery, white glass framed windows, and had the sounds of the trickling small water fountain. We ordered some appies: -Escargot Tartan (interesting to try, texture and taste similar to a denser mushroom) -Stracciatella & Caviar (rich and creamy balanced with the salty bursts of caviar) -Pain au lait (the brioche was nice and fluffy) Mains: -Nova Scotia lobster linguine bisque (initially didn't look like there were a lot of lobster meat, but in between the pasta were some generous chunks) -Ribeye (I thought the potato tart component stood out with the textures!!) Then dessert: -Seasonal mille feuille (great, no notes) Overall - I felt like I was transported to a French upscale inn and would love to come back. Next time, we were recommended their foie gras, scallops & frog legs, and Sole Meunière (fish dish meant for 2 people where the server carves it in front of you - I did notice the fish appeared pretty small. Maybe an option if you wanted a lighter main)

It seems like they are booked out but we gave them a call and they were able to squeeze us in for 5:15pm reservation on Saturday. Underground parking available and they validate it even if you come a bit earlier than your reservation. I love the charming little house exterior and warm country charm interiors. I ordered their salade de lyonnaise, lamb sirloin and chocolate torte. All were good. Though my friend couldn't have any alcohol and the lamb had a red wine sauce, instead they gave her some kind of reduction or au jus sauce with her lamb and it was absolutely delicious, way better than the actual sauce that came with our lamb and beef mains. We ended up using some of her sauce for our dishes too. I also tried the leek soup and pork terrine appetizers, which was also good though I especially liked the salad with the egg on top. The desserts are probably the highlight of my meal. I love the chocolate torte I had at the end and also tasted the apple tarte which was also great. I think for the Winterlicious menu, the quality of desserts are certainly better than other spots I've had. We also enjoyed the drinks, I had a lychee mocktail and my table had some wine and spanish coffee and decaf cappuccino which was also good. The staff was very attentive though my friend, while she told the staff she doesn't have a shrimp allergy she just didn't want shrimp in her soup. Somehow it was served with it but they did later corrected it, which is all good just a minor hiccup. Probably better to just have us eat it for her than bother with the changes.
