Genuine old school apothecary for all your witchy needs. A friend of mine recommended I stop by and take a look at some of her bath salts and oils on consignment there and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to this store that I had no idea existed until that day. The scent greets you first and you take a minute to take it in while your eyes adjust to the sights of the hundreds of bottled jars of various supplies, jewelry, clothing, candles, dolls, stones, etc. I got to talking with Sal and Mia (?) and ended up doing an impromptu reiki session which I found was really helpful. I found that they are highly knowledgeable and serious practitioners with a lifetime of experience. You can tell them what your goal is and they can advise you accordingly. I trust their advice is informed and will be back. I'm obsessed with Sal's homemade Florida Water. It's my new favorite thing. But also a shoutout to Esme Moreau products which I'm looking forward to trying! read more

Great shop in all ways, seriously, everything is great. I'm very pleased to have another very needed Occult store in the region that isn't all woo woo fluff. One exception, the "new moon Goddess circle," not so great. It is a poor representation of a Goddess Circle. It is very psych 101 with a guilt trip as a main course. I like to support local businesses. I have been coming to this shop and bringing friends because I enjoy it so much. I have several of their jewelry items which are unique and beautiful. I enjoy conversations with the knowledgeable staff, and am not afraid to ask questions and I don't feel judged at all. After I leave the store I feel like my anxiety is lowered and I had a breath of fresh air. Once when the owners were out of town, I was asked what music I wanted to hear and I chose Garbage. It was awesome! A++!! The prices and services offered are great and what you are really getting is the attention to detail, the years of expertise, knowledge, care, skill it takes over the years to acquire. This place has everything you need, and things you didn't know you needed. I found out about this shop through a friend, and a few weeks after grand opening I finally had the chance to drive up from southern Long Beach. Sal is friendly, knowledgeable, and sharp as a tack. Went in for some reagents - a few herbs and stones - and ended up leaving with also some excellent advice on a problem and a few more reagents to help. I've made a second visit for candles, oils, and a few more stones (my local witchy shop was all out of smoky quartz) and enjoyed my time there just as much as the first. Classes are also offered for beginners or anyone that's looking to expand their knowledge (events are regularly posted on Facebook) and I plan to attend a few in the near future. read more

Terrible experience. My girlfriend had been asking me to take her here for weeks so I finally made the hour and 40 min drive to LA. We got there an hour before they closed which we thought was plenty of time. There was a group of girls inside and a small line outside the door. We waited and waited and I started getting nervous hoping I didn't have to deal with any drama of them not letting us in- because it was only one group at a time, with no time limit. The guy inside was a bald tall man, he was entertaining these girls and making conversation though it was freezing outside. They looked like they were dancing and having a great ol time joking around. In the end they took 30 min and walked out with ONE candle lol. So next group went in. Again they took forever and it was clearly freezing outside. No worries, be patient. Finally it was the last group before us and it was about to be 5. He let the girls in front of us in and was super friendly with them. We waited, Then he opened the door to let them out and we started to walk in and he yells "WERE CLOSED!!..." right at my girlfriend. I stuttered in disbelief and asked "why didn't you fkn tell us.. you saw us waiting here bro?!?", he's just shrugged me off "whatever", and closed the door. We looked at each other like wow. I visited the shop purely as a gemstone collector, rather than as someone interested in the occult. I bought these crystals for $38. Very unhappy with the atmosphere in this shop. They have beautiful items and I love their selection of herbs. But the owner has always been so dry and bitter every time I've gone in there. I've gone a total of two times and will never go back. The first time I went in specifically looking for certain items. The owners give off the absolute worst vibe ever. They not only gave me so much attitude but also had such a rude look on their face the whole time. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went in a second time with some friends I brought. Once again, very rude glares, horrible atmosphere and you feel like you're constantly being judged. They clearly like their usuals more than other customers. All in all horrible experience I cleansed the hell out of the stuff I bought from there because they just emitted negative energy. read more

I wanted some information on tarot card readings. What days and times they were offered. The guy ( who I am assuming was the owner) who answered the phone was rude and sounded annoyed at my question. When I expressed my thanks to him for answering my question he ended with a annoyed "yeah". I almost made my girl crash her car when I spotted this place the other day. The storefront grabbed my attention immediately. We stopped in the next day, and were NOT disappointed. It's a cozy little shop, full of pleasant energy, and it doesn't have any of the fluff or BS of a lot of "occult" stores that try to disguise themselves as gift shops in order to be more accepted. No negativity towards those places, everyone has to get by somehow, but more power to this place for being unapologetically authentic! It really shines through. I was really let down by this place and the guy behind the counter. I wish the very best for him because I understand his humor and personality but he was NOT welcoming. He didn't even say hello when I walked in and he very much saw me. No one was in the store except him. So, that made me feel really out of place. After looking around, I came closer to him and asked what he was doing. He responded and seemed like he was maybe having quite the day but everything was negative. Also he has a giant Nile Monitor reptile in the store behind the glass. I really hope he has a permit to own and care for such a wild beast. They deserve the best care they can get and to roam around in a bigger area. If not, I hope he gives it to someone/organization that can care for it. He seems into what he does at the store and has a fun personality. I sense his passion for spells and stuff, for sure. But i couldn't buy anything with how I felt- under appreciated. So, I left. Absolutely adore this place and the owner. I've been in other spiritual shops that aren't bad, but when I walked in, I felt very welcome and when asked how I was doing and if I needed help, I explained what was going on and about a candle I was gifted that ended up leaving me very lost and full of anxiety. The sir was so helpful and knowledgeable without being condescending (don't like talking bad about other places, but if you've been to a certain place, you know who I'm talking about). He gave me a suggestion that wouldn't cost me anything, but also suggested a root chakra soap. I used it last night and slept like a baby. I woke up feeling grounded and way better than I had the whole day preceding my visit to The Crooked Path. I will absolutely be back! read more

This shop is great for both long time practitioners as well as those just starting/ interested in the occult. Although the shop is small & humble it has so much to offer that many other shops just do not provide. Most importantly the amazing staff who are extremely pleasant to talk to don't make me feel uncomfortable or talked down to- there are a few shops that I have gone to which the shop clerks treat me like a child who knows nothing about the craft but I never got that here!
