    Tacos!

This is a vibe type of spot! If it's your vibe it's a 5 star. If it's not your vibe I understand that too. This is a very casual down to earth spot with strong drinks and cheap food. Everyday of the week there's something going on as far as specials or entertainment. Liz at the bar earns every dollar she makes. Idk how she does it. I've been a few times now for taco Tuesday and she is always on it when it comes to getting you and everyone else what they need. On taco Tuesday, there re $1.50 tacos and hh drinks ranging from $3.95-$7.95. Now let's be clear, don't come in here looking for anything fancy or extra. The tacos are hard-shell corn tortillas and come with beef, cheese, and lettuce. They throw some salsa and sour cream on the side for you. I usually order 5. There's also a DJ starting at 6pm and he plays all the line dancing music and it it a VIBE!

Food and drinks are always excellent . Service can be slow on weekends due to sort bartending staff. Drinks are strong and music keeps going all night long.

We've been here a few times and have enjoyed quite a few good meals, so I'm not sure why I'm just now drafting a review. *smacks forehead* Anywho, here's what we had during our most recent visit: **HONEY GARLIC WINGS **GARLIC PARMESAN WINGS **FRIED CATFISH **SIDES: MACARONI AND CHEESE + POTATO SALAD + GREENS + COLE SLAW **CRAB CAKES (fiancée) As always, everything is flavorful and delicious. The price points are fair and the service is good. No matter what else we order, wings are always on the menu. They have several seasoning and dipping sauce options, so that leaves lots of room to mix it up and try different things. Will add more pics the next time we go, which I'm sure will be soon. NOTES: The building houses a liquor store, a deli, and a bar/tavern all in one. This place is always busy, and full of regular patrons. Depending on the time of day, the parking lot will be jam-packed. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Oh Sunnybrook! I live so close, but never stopped by the restaurant, only have shopped at the liquor store. What a hole in the wall gem. The atmosphere is very friendly and lively. The people are chill and just want to socialize and listen to music. Lizzie is a great bartender and ensures that you get what you ask for. The drinks are good, just make sure to get top shelf as the rail drinks aren't the best. I also would stick to a general drink versus trying to get a specialty cocktail. The wings were decent, but needs some more seasoning. Overall, we had a good time. Just make sure to come before 10 as we were surprised that the kitchen was closed up on arrival (got the wings later after chatting with the bartender). You can tell that mostly regulars go here and that totally fine. Don't be afraid to just jump right in, sit at the bar, and meet some locals.

How did I not know TAP Sports Bar existed?…read more TAP is basically what happens when a stadium, a fryer, and a casino have a baby; loud, chaotic, and somehow exactly what you needed. I was fully invested in the Duke game because if they won, my bestie would be back in DC. So yes, I was out here cheering for the Boozer brothers like I was trying to get their mama a plane ticket. Not wanting to deal with the National Harbor side, my friend suggested TAP and honestly, clutch move. The struggle: a 30-45 minute wait for a table. The plot twist: the to‑go line was just as long, and they'll shut it down if the kitchen gets overwhelmed. But it was available. The pivot: the outdoor area was wide open. No bar, no servers, no crowd, just sunshine and empty plush seating and tables. So outside it is. This worked perfectly because we both weren't drinking! We ordered at the bar, grabbed our food, and watched the game outside like VIPs who chose peace over chaos. Inside: TVs everywhere, sports blasting, people yelling at screens like the players owed them money. It's chaotic in the best possible way. Service was friendly but slow but still, the staff somehow kept the whole place running like a well‑oiled machine in the middle of a sports‑fueled tornado. Final verdict: Come hungry, come casual, and come patient. TAP is fun, filling, and exactly the kind of place you go when you want comfort food with zero pretension. Now... let's get into it! I went straight for the TAP Burger, as any self‑respecting burger monster would. And honestly? It understood the assignment. Juicy, messy (in a sexy way), and stacked like it's trying to win a televised food competition. The fries were crispy little overachievers, especially impressive considering they were trapped in a plastic container. No pics because to go food isn't picture worthy out of the containers. Highly recommend. This is officially my new spot for all things sports. Plus, free parking. A no‑brainer. Find me here on game days! Perfect outdoor place to be!

My oh my am I glad we did, we had the most amazing experience getting in as soon as they opened. From there received great service from Misha and the food came out even better than before. I cannot stress it enough that THIS IS THE BEST BRUNCH I HAVE EVER HAD. The French toast made my taste buds dance every bite. The chicken and waffles cooked to perfection and filled with such flavor. Then the Kentucky Hot Brown is the food you wouldn't expect you needed in your life but you do. The sweet buns were so good I preferred them over the Cinnabon across the street. All in all if I could rate this out of 10 it was a 20 for how good everything was. I would recommend Brunch over dinner but both still were good. I for sure will be flying from California just for this place again. Succotash staff and cooks thank you all. Especially Andrew and Misha yall are amazing!

For appetizers, I ordered the fried oyster deviled eggs, and wow... they were so good. The little fried oysters on top of the deviled eggs were such a perfect combination. Crispy, creamy, flavorful -- definitely something I would order again without hesitation. For my entrée, I had the whole grilled branzino served over a green bean and fennel salad, and let me tell you... this was hands down one of the best branzinos I've ever had. The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. And that green bean and fennel salad underneath? So much better than I expected. I actually considered swapping it out, and I'm so glad I didn't because it completed the dish perfectly. Every bite was delicious. If you can snag a table outside, do it--the views really add to the atmosphere. The standout of my experience was actually the "Old Man and the Sea" bourbon cocktail. It was one of the best drinks I've had in a while--well-balanced, flavorful, and worth ordering again. Of course, I had to try the lobster roll since it's advertised as Maryland's best. It was definitely good: fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying. That said, having spent time in Maine, I've had a few lobster rolls there that I would rank higher. To be fair, I can't compare it to other lobster rolls in Maryland, so it may very well be among the best the state has to offer. Between the location, great cocktails, and solid food, The Walrus is absolutely worth a visit if you're in National Harbor. I'd happily come back, especially for another Old Man and the Sea while enjoying the view.
