I wasn't given the cut I wanted so I called this salon right after to see if anyone is available. The receptionist was very, very pleasant and tried to accommodate me the same day, however, the time she had someone available didn't really work so I ended up calling around to a few other salons in the area with no luck. I called V salon back and told her I had called about 20 minutes ago and asked about next day availabilities. She had a 3 and a 4pm available so I took one of them. Upon entering the salon, I was immediately greeted by the friendly receptionist who then offered me a drink... Water, wine or coffee. I declined politely. I was way too early but Bree came in early as well and got started right away. She was very friendly and very gentle. I haven't met anyone who had done my hair in such a gentle fashion. I was definitely impressed by her demeanor and attitude in relation to her work. She finished my layers and fixed my hair cut and had answered some of my questions about possible colors for the spring/summer. Recently, I came back to have the balayage done and to freshen up my haircut and side fringe. I asked tor Bree again and once again, she did a fantastic job with my hair! It took about 2.5-3 hours but she took her time and I am very happy with the end result. I feel like this is the salon for me! The people are so nice and friendly and the work they do is superb. I highly recommend trying this place out. They also provide other services (nails, facials, etc). The place has always been clean during my visits. I can't wait to return!

While I've only ever come here for hair services, I do enjoy my visits here. The place is always clean and organized with friendly and attentive staff. My first visit was so-so but after a year, I found someone I really like. I came to see Danielle for a glass and hair cut. The process took longer than the time allocated on their booking app which apparently has been an issue but Danielle was kind enough to perform my services without rushing through it. I loved the results and cannot wait to come back and have her do my normal highlights and cuts in the future. Perhaps someday, I'll end up getting their other services, too!

If you are just going to get your hair cut, they will do an excellent job. My sister also gets her hair dyed here all the time and leaves perfectly satisfied. Unfortunately, what I would NOT recommend is coming to get a balayage treatment done. I have never dyed my hair in the past and decided to do something different for a change. Having coming from Manhattan, I was intent on trying something different for $200 as opposed to $500. I figured with balayag being a very trendy style right now, the stylist had to have a ton of practice. After all, It is pretty hard to mess up -- especially when I show you a picture before hand. When I came in, I was completely brunette. And when I left I did not have a balayage (where my brown hair would gradually turn into blonde) but on the contrary, I was completely blonde with dark roots. Really not at all like a balayage. In fairness, my hair is extremely long. And thick. The appointment itself took 3 hours. I feel that the error came from both lack of experience and also management of time. We ran 30 minutes over into the next client's appointment (poor thing) and I felt like it was a rushed job. She didn't end up actually styling my hair because she ran out of time. I suppose a little of this is on me because I should have ensured she REALLY LOOKED at the picture. I was like here's the picture. She very quickly relied "oh I totally got it! I can do that" This was several months back and the reason I write about it now is because I now am having to pay almost $500 for a color correcting and CORRECT balayage. Moral of the Story: salon dacota is great. Just not for balayage. If you are wanting to do that, splurge and go somewhere that specializes otherwise you may end up paying more. Hope this is helpful!

This Hair "Boutique" came highly recommended by a colleague at work as a highly qualified stylist capable of doing the crochet style that I was looking for. I have very fine and thin hair that requires using a net and double knotting each twist to ensure the twists stay secure. I tried to explain this to Monet, the owner and only stylist employed at this salon, but she informed me that she would use neither. The end result looked great but three twist fell out before I even made it home. Subsequently the entire front section fell out by the end of the night. I called her the next day to see of she could redo it the way I asked her to to begin with. After trying to reach her several times throughout the next day she never returned any of my calls. On the third day she texted me saying that not only would not repair the section which fell out but was also not willing to continue to be my stylist and that I should find someone else. I tried in vain to contact her so we could discuss her response but she refused to return my calls or texts. So if that wasn't unprofessional enough I stopped by her shop so I could show her how he twists were continuously slipping out, and here's the kicker: SHE CALLED THE POLICE ON ME AND ASKED THEM TO ESCORT ME FROM THE PREMISES FOR HARASSMENT!!
