This is a coffee house as well as a shop. There are unique items like the pineapple habanero dip from Terrapin Ridge Farms that I found. My wife found a soy candle called cactus flower and jade from Crazy Plant Lady. There was also Patchouli and frankincense by Numinous. There is a lady that does waxing by appointment only. Wow! Saw an add on Facebook about a vendor selling BBQ near this location and decided to check it out. Came for the brisket - left with a floral arrangement and leather bag. And best of all- I now know about THE place to come for any gift needs. They have it all! And the ladies were just lovely- not too clingy but there when you need them. Baked goods, jars of jellies/sauces/dips, upscale clothing with a mannequin decked out to show you how to put it together and accessorize (something I truly appreciate!), home goods, beautiful floral arrangements at all price points (a guy bought two bunches of tulips ahead of me), and jewelry that you do not see anywhere else. When I need gifts for the girls at the office or a hostess gift- I'm coming here! And will definitely be back for a Valentine gift for the hubby. read more

Before today i would have rated this shp 5 stars. Have shop here many times. Very nice store with good selection of gift items. Took 2 friends today and we all found items to purchase. Sign on the front door said 30 % off clothing and accessories. When we got to the register she told us this item was not 30% off. Maybe change your sign to say 30% off select clothing and accessories? Very disappointing. Good thing they didn't honor their own sign sale though because I found the item online for half the price and free shipping. Would have rather spent my money at a local vendor but oh well, their loss. Love the dips, Home Goods sells the same ones for $5, same size jar. read more

Stopped at The Cypress House for coffee around noon on a Saturday after meeting with our wedding florist. My fiancé and I were the only ones there. The woman who made our drinks was very kind. We each got a mocha and they were DELICIOUS. They tasted very fresh and obviously homemade. The store itself was super cute, with a ton of things to look at. We wandered while she made our drinks. This is such an adorable shop! I stopped in for a latte. I gave 4 stars only because they don't have oat milk and they carry monin syrups. (I'm a sucker for house made syrup or those with just a few quality ingredients.) Otherwise, it was perfection! This cute and quaint place is a hidden spot in Rochelle. On the outside it looks like a little home, but inside it's bursting with knicknacks ready to enter a new home! This place has an assortment of items, from rustic housewear to one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories. They also sell some intruiging food items, including sweet and spicy jams and local popcorn mix. The icing on the cake is that they also have a coffee and tea bar! I am not familiar with the area, so I called a few otter florists that I saw on Yelp first and was unable to find one that answered my call or that delivered on the same day to the area I needed. The associate I spoke with on the phone at Cypress was so kind and helpful. This place was not too far from the interstate and definitely worth the extra couple of minutes to support a local business! They have all sorts of cool seasonal gifts and Stonecreek coffee out of Milwaukee. They have a neat building which is laid out like a house with different rooms. The also sell clothing "for women" but actually pretty good styles for most contemporary humans! I definitely would suggest you stop here, especially if you want to avoid some chain coffee place. read more

The Cypress House is great store filled with coffees, great gifts which are trendy but yet unique and a floral department that is amazing! I have been shopping at The Cypress House since they opened and have never been let down! The staff is ealways eager to please and so very helpful! I have used The Cypress House for every event that requires flowers, such as homecoming and prom. The result is simply amazing. The flowers are so crisp and fresh and the colors are bright and vibrant. The staff at The Cypress House has filled my urns by the front door in the spring, summer and winter and they are always top notch looking without the top notch price! The staff at The Cypress House has even made a trip to the cemetary, on a last minute phone call, to put a silk arrangement at my mothers grave, just in time for Mothers Day! I was really pleased with how my flowers turned out for my wedding. I met with one of the floral designers initially to go over what types of arrangements I needed for my wedding (I had a very limited schedule as I was living in North Carolina at the time and Krista was unavailable when I needed to meet), then met with Krista once to see samples of the flowers. The rest of the time we communicated by email. Krista would always get back to my VERY promptly. After going back and forth via email about the flowers I liked, we finally came up with the flowers I preferred, and she gave some suggestions, which I ended up being really pleased with. She was probably the best vendor I had for my wedding in terms of how easy it was to communicate with her. My sister used Cypress House for flowers for my bridal shower and they turned out great. And the flowers for my wedding were exactly what I was hoping for. I actually think they turned out better than I had expected! I'm really surprised at the negative review, as my experience was so different with Krista. I will say, though, that I was VERY specific about what I wanted and didn't want, so I think that helps. read more
