Service of air conditioning performed the next day from our call. Technician was very knowledgeable and honest and fixed what was needed.

Two service calls and received excellent service both times. My most recent service call was yesterday, February 18. As you know, temperatures were close to zero. Around 4:00 I determined our Amana furnace must not be working. Placed a call to Farley's at 4:12. Service man came out, diagnosed the problem and had to return to the shop to get the part. By 5:30 the furnace was fixed and working properly. Office personnel and service man were very helpful and courteous. I'm sure the service call will be costly, however, a small price to pay at the end of the day with subzero temperatures. Any service call would be expensive. The other service call to Farley's was around 1/23/25 regarding my Maytag washer. Because we like to shop local, we purchased the washer & dryer from our local dealer Knie Appliance, you know the one that always asks you prior to service, "did you buy the appliance here"? Very annoying. You either service or you don't. I told them the code and the issue I was encountering. Because Knie had already replaced a part in October, I felt it may be the same issue. (This call to Knie was around 1/21/25.) Knie told me they would not be able to schedule a service call until the following week. (What?) I was leaving on vacation that weekend for two weeks and could not leave family members here without a washer. I called Farley Appliance and they sent a service guy out. He actually tested the bad part and removed it from the washer but did not have a part with him, and had returned to the shop to check stock. Before Farley's were able to get back with me, my husband called Knie himself and they ultimately came out same day, tested the part that Farley's removed and confirmed it was bad, and fixed the washer. I'm not sure what my husband said but I could tell that the service man that came, who also had come in October and was very pleasant, was not happy this go around. I had to call Farley's back and say it has been fixed by their competitor. Mind you, the office staff who took the call was very understanding and again, courteous. Farley's is actually located about 12 miles away, and although I told them it was okay for them to bill me for the trip and work they had already done, they never sent me a bill. This whole situation was uncomfortable for me at best but Farley's made it less uncomfortable and it is appreciated. This is service as I remember it should be. We already had some dealings with Farley's in the past as we had replaced the microwave that was purchased with the house. At some point in the future, I will be buying a new refrigerator and I will be making the purchase at Farley's. I anticipate we will also be investing in a new furnace and A/C, and plan to shop at Farley's as well. We now have to consider the service aspect in all purchases because, unfortunately, material things no longer last for any extended period of time. I was in the T.V. Appliance & Funiture business for 44 years. and know what customer service is all about. That store is no longer. I had a Maytag Microhood that needed service that another dealer would not even look at because I did not buy it from them. Long story short. Farley's in Dixon IL looked at it for me in one day I was told it was not worth fixing and was given a GREAT deal on a new one in the Bisque Color that was important to me. I haven't had much with this business, but this summer our washer went out and my wife and I stopped at Farley's and bought a new one, even answered questions about our fridge that was bought somewhere else. Ladies working at the counter were extremely helpful and friendly. Today we had our heat go out. Woke up to a cold house and nothing working with the furnace. I messaged Farley's online and got a call back at 7:19 in the morning, and had technicians here by 8! They did great work, went to Rockford to get the part and by 3 we had the heat working again! I HIGHLY recommend this business to anyone! read more

Excellent I was in and out! Delivery is scheduled. I was told by several people to go to Farley's.

I normally don't take the time to write reviews. If a company is bad, I just don't use them again. If they are good they get all my business. I called Farley's for an estimate on a new furnace and a/c unit for my home. After two weeks someone finally came out. It took another two weeks to actually receive a written estimate! After securing the funds, ( roughly $5000.00) and agreeing to their terms, I called them to come do the install. I was told they were having trouble getting the units, and would let me know when they were available. It's been three weeks now and no phone call. In the meantime, I had estimates from other vendors in the area. They came and installed both units, with no problems, in fact I ended up getting about $700 back in perks and rebates! Apparently Farley's will give you service if they feel like it? Heating and cooling is not their strong suit I guess. In the end I am thankful they did not install my units. read more

Not the best experience with Farley's. For starters, we called them a year ago and asked them to go service our AC unit, and they told us that we needed it replaced. Which was fine...so a month later (In May) I called them to see if they could give us an estimate. They sent us a bill in the mail for $60, and then proceeded to charge our card without our consent, and then didn't even get us an estimate. Just crazy. So here we are...one year later. I call them and asked them "Hey, did you by chance ever have an estimate from when we called you last May-since we were charged for one..." They say "I see that you requested an estimate, but no we never went and gave you one." So I tell them, ok-can we please get an estimate? They say Suuure, we'll go out Friday. It's now Monday, and I have yet to hear from them. So I call-they say "Oh yes he went to your house but he needs to get inside..." WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME? I'd go somewhere else, but I already paid for the stupid estimate. Just a JOKE! read more

This review is mainly because I had them fix my fridge. To start off I have an almost new fridge, when I was shopping around for new appliances this store wouldn't work with me as much at Knie in Sterling did so thats why I didn't buy my appliances here. However my less than 2 year old fridge stoped working so I needed a service guy to come out and fix it. I first called Knie because that's where I bought my fridge but their prices for service was very high $75 for the call + parts + labor to put the parts in. I called around and Farley's wanted $58 for the call + parts they didn't charge me extra to install the parts like Knie wanted. They were fast and friendly and now my fridge is working fine again. Moral of the story go here for service but shop around if your gona buy new appliances. read more

I have been loyal to Farley's along with my family since for sure 1976 and before, but no longer. I bought a new washer in June of 2017 and paid for hoses that I never used, at this time a installer said that it could be credited. So I never gave it much thought until I needed my microwave repaired that was bought at Farley's, when I spoke to a person about this I was dismissed. I still got the microwave repaired, and wrote a note about my issue with my check to pay for service, and have been ignored again. Well I have been good about buying in my home town but no longer will I get the new dryer to go with that washer, or the frig,replaced that i got from Farley's in 2003. read more

Called for service on my refridgerator and they told me I would have to wait until someone was in town. That was 2 weeks ago I got tired of waiting and called someone else. I do not recommend to anyone. read more
