My daughter was taking lessons for a few years before performing in their Cinderella production at the age of 7. My daughter was able to see how her lessons came together in an actual show, and the older girls performing with her really supported her. In addition, I have seen not only the teachers, but the older company girls really support, guide and mentor the younger generation of dancers. In my opinion, this comradery is something that can not be found everywhere. The studio has become a second home to my daughter, and the faculty there continue to nurture and support my daughter's love of dance. My daughter's goal is to become a professional dancer, and I have no doubt Dance by Dinote studio will get her there!

I kept stumbling with my turns so he went out of his way during the lesson to work with me on them. After an hour lesson, the dance floor opened up until 2am to a spicy mix of salsa and bachata songs! As a first-timer I felt shy and sat in a corner but everyone (even the elite) were so friendly and continually asked me to dance (and taught me steps along the way)! I tend to be very uncomfortable when it comes to physical contact but dancing with everyone felt rather natural! Such a lovely experience- If I lived in or near Philly I would take classes here in a heartbeat. Will definitely be back for more salsa nights!

We were 20 minutes late…read more(to a 60-minute class....oops) but the academy was extremely accomodating and we just jumped right into the leason! Our instructor was pleasant and patient, and we had a great time learning basic salsa moves!! The other people in the drop-in class were two other couples...so be warned as that generally seems the norm for classes. I think the academy also does "salsa parties" which are more free practice sessions. The time flew by, and we were encouraged to videotape the last 5 minutes of the instructor giving an overview of what we had learned, so we could come back after practicing on our own! Will definitely come back to use up the rest of our livingsocials....hopefully the classes aren't too repetitive so we'll see!

The other teachers (Jonathan, Krystal, etc.) are also wonderful. This studio supports the Rowan Dance team when the college is in session so it is nice to see young dancers learning. They also support 'Ballroom Dancing for a Better U' non-profit. The adult group classes are small enough you get a bit of individual attention and big enough to have nice energy. Generally, there is a fairly even mix of leaders/followers so you can come single or with a partner. They have a website with a calendar so you can check out a class or two to see what you think. Their Social Dance Party is on Thursday so you can get a jumpstart on the weekend.

The teachers were 18/20 unprofessional and could not handle the class size. There was 0 consistency whatsoever. They struggled to keep the girls engaged. Our class of 12 quickly dropped to 5 by January. Let's not even mention the recital. They insinuated my mother stole someone else's tickets because her code was not scanning. Although it was an outsourced company it is a reflection of the studio. My mother wrote a Facebook review and the owner emailed me asking me to tell my mom to remove it. She did not once offer an apology for the way she was treated. Never again would I put my now 8 yr old back in that studio.

Anna was our party host, and she was incredibly friendly and amazing with the kids. She was a pro at getting the kids involved and if they didn't want to be involved (we had one or two who were too cool for dance school) she didn't push them at all. Jessica (I think I'm right on the name?? I hope) was also very friendly and efficient. This place is a fantastic deal for the price, plus all the kids get a free class just for coming to the party. It has gone downhill over the last few years. The fact that people have been at Chez for so long and are now running away in droves should tell you something. Parents dictate what they want, and the studio caters to the few who have the loudest voice. If you want to get anywhere here, make yourself available to the owners personally. They will accept the poorest of behaviors as long as it benefits them. Find a place that lifts your kids up, not tears them down. Find a place where your kids will be nurtured and their voices heard, not pushed away and screamed at for actually attending classes. Newer teachers have zero classroom control and seasoned teachers look so beat up by the owners they are just hanging on. It has been a sad decline. It is not the same atmosphere as it was 5 years ago. There are plenty of other studios out there.

This studio was once viewed as the best but more and more I find many people are completely dissastisfied, including me. The studio owner and one of her daughters continue to think they are God as it was posted in another review. It is awful how they treat their students. They completely beat down and damage the self esteem of most of their dancers, my child included. I have witnessed first hand the inappropriate comments by the teachers and the tears of the students that stem from such comments. It is okay if teachers miss classes for personal events but the kids are shamed for doing so. They have no respect for these young girls and ladies. There are a handful of teachers there that seem to really care. There are others that carry on the abusive way of the owner and seem to get joy out of making kids feel poorly about themselves. There is nothing that could keep me there. The reputation of the studio has plumented and there are much better studios in the town as well as neighboring towns. My daughter found a new love of dance once we switched her.
