Great food and drinks, odd service. Stopped by after getting into Kremmling on a road trip. Asked if the patio was dog friendly, it is, so we walked all the way around the property to the gate and sat down. There was another party on the patio so we waited for menus. A waitress for the other party came out 2 times to see to them and did not acknowledge our presence. I then went inside and asked at the bar if it was counter service. She said no and handed me two menus. So we happily sat and made our choices. Another three visits for the other party by the original waitress and another one but still no service for us. Turns out since I talked to the bartender she was expected to wait on us. We eventually ordered the fish & chips and the pub nachos. Great food. Really enjoyed everything. We had just finished our white water rafting trip and decided to find something local to eat before heading out of town- so glad we tried the Dean West! We had excellent service, great food (highly recommend the wings!), and even live music on a Sunday afternoon. They were also great with spacing and masks for Covid. We'll be back every time we're out this way for sure! read more

I came here for a special occasion, sat down at the patio for 25 minutes. A waitress came up after 15 min of waiting and gave us 2 glasses of water and said she would be back. She then walked around the patio picking up trash from the ground. Another 10 minutes later, I pulled another waitress aside and said we haven't been helped yet. She asked how many people and we said just 2 people....then she disappeared. After 7 more minutes We then stood up and just walked out and went to subway. At least they know how to serve customers. It's a cute place but the service is disorganized and waiting for that long without being able to order or be recognized isn't good. read more

Nice place in a small town with not much else to choose from. Had higher hopes with the food and brewery. Only reason for 3 stars, was the people are fairly friendly and the burgers are good. I ordered the "pulled pork Mac and cheese". When you lead with pulled pork in the name, I expect a lot more pulled pork. Got a full plate of Mac and cheese (same as the kids Mac and cheese) with a tiny portion of pulled pork. Both were terrible. Pulled pork was really sweet and didn't taste smoked. Mac and cheese was awful. No flavor. Also ordered a GAB IPL. Tastes watered down. Not very good. Overall was highly disappointing. Outdoor dining is nice. read more

We visited this restaurant on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023. We ordered the fish and chips, which is cod and french fries, $18. The restaurant was understaffed for a Friday evening crowd. I felt sorry for our servers, as they were slammed. The fish portion was small for the price as we each received 4 glorified fish sticks. My french fries had obviously been sitting out for quite a while and they were cold, soggy, and chewy. I didn't bother complaining as I never received a beverage I had ordered, as well. I simply ate what I could, paid my bill, and left...never to return. read more

Stopped for lunch (only place between Silverthorne and Steamboat) and wow did we luck out, great atmosphere, excellent burgers, attentive service and left with 4 bottles of their distilled liquors (whiskey and gin) very unique and free tasting! Awesome find! read more

Cliff notes: great beer, great food and great people. Full report: enjoyed the Keller for a lighter beer as I usually chase the IPAs. Food wise I loved the Philly cheese steak and for once I loved the fries so much I didn't even need ketchup! The final caveat was the great classic rock playlist and plenty of TV's to watch the game. This place has gone downhill. Don't know why for sure. Not COVID related, since no one cared about masks, even though the mask order is still in effect. We have eaten here before on our way through and had good experiences. But yesterday the service was terrible. Walked in and the first server just looked right through us. Didn't care. Grabbed our own table, second server came and gave us menus. After ordering, only checked back once. Food was just OK this time. Clientele seemed to be groups of local guys visiting with the waitresses. After this experience we don't think we will be returning. read more

We stopped here on the way back from hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Needless to say, we were hungry. The reviews looked promising, so we headed in. Two servers were wandering around, but didn't approach us or the party ahead of us. Eventually, one came over and said, "We have music tonight so we don't know if we can seat you." We pointed at an empty table, and said, "What about this one?" Apparently they're not used to being full. We had managed to get inside just before a massive thunderstorm let loose, so going elsewhere wasn't really an option. The music was delayed because of the storm, so we ordered after getting moved to another table that had been vacated. Started with the pimento cheese, which was solid, although more bread could have been provided. We ordered a couple of different burgers, a mac and cheese entree, and the sirloin. Burgers and fries were the same price as a sirloin with mashed potatoes and asparagus ($20). Interesting pricing. The main courses took a long time to arrive given the size of the place. The food was solid, though not amazing. My daughter ordered sweet potato fries but was given regular fries. When the music (country singer) started, it was way too loud. We literally couldn't hear each other speak, so we ate quickly and took off. Our server was efficient, unlike the other two who seemed to wander aimlessly without taking much initiative. Seems like there is promise, but service and execution need an upgrade. read more

Went here on a Thursday night. My expectations were low as I had just been in town the previous week and had a disappointing dinner at Grand Old West. The town only has a couple restaurants so there really is not much to choose from. I even went and checked out the pizza menu at the gas station... Thankfully I decided on this spot finally. Good thing I did because this place was great. Had one of their Bleu cheese burgers and safe to say, the quality of the meat and the toppings on the burger definitely surpassed my expectations. They have some solid beers on tap that they brew locally as well. It is a shame that other restaurant is on the main street because I had no idea this one existed my first time here! read more

I don't typically write reviews but it felt necessary after visiting this brewery/distillery when passing through Kremmling. My initial thought was good energy, but after waiting 15 minutes on a slow day to even be noticed, the bartenders seemed distracted, overworked and understaffed. Still, after all the good reviews I was interested in giving this establishment a try. When I walked to the bathroom I noticed a clear view to the entire kitchen... I was so shocked to see such uncleanliness and unprofessionalism in the kitchen, employees eating and drinking in the cook area as they are "working" and cooking their customers' meals. Food and drink (unrelated to what they were serving) was everywhere. Messes on the floor, on the counters, etc. I have never seen so many health code violations presented in plain sight. I'm not saying don't give this place a chance, but be aware, there is very poor concern for cleanliness and what is being served. read more

We had a family reunion recently in this area of Colorado and ate at Dean's Public House in Hot sulphur Springs. The food there was so delicious we decided to have lunch at Dean's West in Kremmling. Dean's West did not dissapoint! The tapas and beer were excellent. The service and atmosphere are great. This restaurant is a great addition to the Kremmling area. I love this brewery/restaurant! I have eaten there three times and the food is wonderful! I am a local, and to get this quality of food, you have to drive to Summit County or East Grand County. Now, we have what I consider a higher end restaurant right here in town! They serve a great assortment of appetizers, burgers, wonderful gourmet salads, gourmet hot dogs, and a delightful array of not so ordinary sandwiches. The brewery-soon-to-be-distillery tops it off wonderfully! The "distillery atomosphere" adds to the charm of this place. Their craft beers are awesome, and I have always received great service. I hope that this restaurant brewery sticks around for a very long time. It definitely stands out from the other restaurants in Kremmling, and it is worth every penny for every plate. Coming from Arizona for a rafting the trip, a local recommended Deans West. It couldn't have been a worse place to go for a person who is on vacation and very hungry after a day of rafting. Nobody was their to greet us when we walked and no indication of what they wanted us to do, we sat ourselves at an open table. After sitting there for 15 minutes we were finally recognized. This was after at least 2 staff members passed us many many times since we were sitting by the door to the outside tables and we were hard to miss. Since no one was paying attention to us I got up and got the menus myself. The pricing was fair since we were in a resort and/or mountain town. Still after many more minutes and trips to the outside tables and no water, a waitress did acknowledge she would be with us. Even after many more trips to the outside area she finally asked us for drinks. I ordered an ice tea and my friend ordered beer and water. The tea finally came but my friend was left drink less. His beer came a very long time after I received my drink. He also ordered water but it never came till after dinner when another waitress noticed we had no water on our tables. Our order was finally taken, way to long after we received our drinks, minus the water my friend ordered. My friend order Mac and Cheese with buffalo wings I believed and I ordered a Burger. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity since we were in a hurry to make the demolition derby in town our food came. My friend said the Mac and Cheese was good but my Burger was about the size of a hockey puck. Burger was mostly bread with a very small patty. Not worth the price I paid. I can not recommend this place based on the service we received. Maybe it was an off day but I will never be returning. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there. read more
