I've been coming to Miners Saloon for 5years and they never disappoint. They specialize in links, sandwiches and wonderful soups/salads. That might sound like a limited menu but that is not the case. Their sausages plates are great way to try different types of meats from elk, duck, bison and boar. Their house mustard and pickled veggies give this plate a nice kick. If you are in the mood for a bowl, I'd highly recommend the spicy pork green chili. This is definitely spicy but in a fun way, you will have a nice glow after eating this delicious chili. I love pairing this with their turkey club as the avocado and chili goes great together. Great decor to feel like you are in a mine and servers are constantly checkin to make sure you have everything you need. read more

Make sure you go through miners alley to get to the entrance. What a phenomenal saloon. It says bar food but it's quite sophisticated. Wild game chili is sourced from an elk farm. Pretty cool. The bison beer brat was plain but still great. My fave was the French dip with a side of green chili. Definitely put the chili on the sandwich. Phenomenal. Lovely service. Amy is unforgettable! We stopped here for drinks before dinner and I helped myself to a little appetizer - the pretzel bites! I asked for extra salt and really enjoyed them dipped in the beer cheese. Their drink menu is extensive with tons of unique spirits to choose from. The inside is a wild west vibe and a lot of fun. They had diet coke for me but the drink menu was SO hard to resist. Cold beer at the bar, good happy hour pricing, friendly service and seems like a bit of a local place just off the alley. We also enjoyed the jumbo jalapeño pretzel with a spicy mustard and a yummy cheese sauce. We will bouncing around town so just had one drink in the appetizer, but they do have a full menu. They have a bar and then separate seating with tables. read more

We visited on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. The service was great. One female bartender who was training another female. Both provided great service. Drinks were great! We ordered the Charcuterie board, the Wild Game (Venison) chili, and the Bon Mi. The Charcuterie came out well before the other food so we had time to enjoy it. Really nice portions of cheese and a decent amount of salami and other meat too. House made pickled veggies, mustard, fig jam, and more with a thin, but sturdy, house made crackers. My chili was great and my husband enjoyed his Bon Mi. Perfect atmosphere for first timers to Golden! Nice music - not too loud. Great ambiance. We will be back. read more

We were escorted here by a nice local lady as we were traveling. Being vegan it's tough to find good food and music all in the same venue but this place was perfect for us. They had an indoor and outdoor seating area, a man playing the guitar and a great casual vibe. Craft beers, a nice menu and a beautiful setting looking up at a mountain. We had the chopped salad and a Lucious tomato bisque. The waitstaff was superb and very accommodating. I would love to eat here again on our next trip. read more

We came in here late night for a Bachelorette and it was the only thing really open. We were able to snag a dip trio which was fantastic, and a perfect snack to end the night. We had a couple drinks and they were all made super well. The bartenders knew our party was there for a bachelorette so they came over and told us last call to grab our night cap which was appreciated. The hubs and I caught up with friends on a weekend day. The service was friendly and fast. The food seems to be pre-prepared which is totally fine, just limited in any modifications (more an fyi than an issue). I got the veggie wrap and picked out the onions, no biggie. It was a delicious veggie wrap and went well with the sour lemon beer on tap I sampled. Everyone else got a turkey sammie and we're happy with their selection. Nice off the Main Street Bar, great beer selection, the large Jalepeno Pretzel with Bbe Cheese and mustard. Pretzel served hot, soft and very good. Service is great, staff very friendly and attentive. Definitely a great stop for a beer and snack while shopping. One more thing, the bathroom is awesome, it's like stepping back in time. Instead of paper napkins to dry your hands, there are fresh rolled washcloths to dry your hands. Loved the experience of this place. read more

Have visited twice, sat at the bar both times. The first time it took forever for the bartender to even look our way, and there was barely anyone at the bar. The male bartender was too busy talking to the guy at the end of the bar. When he did finally acknowledge our existence, I asked about a drink only to be talked down to in regards to my question. He didn't even suggest a different drink, he was just incredibly rude and condescending. I was so put off by the situation that I can't remember if I actually enjoyed the drink, or if we got/enjoyed any food. The second time we stopped in was this past Sunday. It was fairly busy, and there were quite a few people at the bar. Same male bartender, same disregard. We weren't even given a menu. The bartenders were too busy talking to each other to take any notice of us at all. We sat there for maybe 10 minutes (being totally ignored), then decided to take our patronage elsewhere. There's too many really decent places in Golden to be treated like this... Especially for no reason at all. We won't be walking into this establishment again. Two bad experiences is more than enough!! read more

3.5 stars. My partner and I came here and found parking in a small lot nearby. We walked over, and it really did feel like we were entering a saloon. Didn't get to see the indoors because we found a table out front. It took some time to wander around and figure out how table service worked. Staff members were a bit dismissive, but great that they keep busy! The reason I rounded up to 4 stars was for the food. I'll try anything that's akin to a hot dog only twice per year (generally don't like them) and thought the Chili Gourmet Dog (with wild game chili & Welsh white cheddar) was the perfect foray back into this type of cuisine. I actually really enjoyed it, especially alongside the coleslaw and pickle. Love the wide selection of beer and the neighboring whiskey bar. This was actually my first trip to Golden. Coming from a ton of big cities, I think I'm just not accustomed to the small town vibe. But you can't argue with the views. They're absolutely beautiful here, which is a main reason to sit outside. While the rest of the menu wasn't appealing, I'd come here again for the same combo of Gourmet Dog and IPA! read more

We were staying at an Airbnb in the area and decided to stop in late one night. They were pretty busy but service was great! We decided to share the grilled cheese and the wild game chili. This place is pretty much my new hideout and you can't beat their lunch $10 special. Half a panini with a bowl of tomato soup. Delish! I picked the Turkey Melt and it was one of the best I've had in sometime. Hot, grilled to perfection with melty cheese dunked in steamy hot tomato soup... geeze, I need to go get another one right now just thinking about it. They also have a Daily HH Daily 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm with $1.00 off draft beer and cocktails and $2.00 off wine. They do have a good sized section for outdoor seating but since it's starting to get cold and snow, I'm not sure how much longer that will be available. We were going to go to another place at first. This place popped up and my wife wanted to go. It's easy to pass it up since it's in a alley way. We stopped and were seated quickly. The place was crowded. Bathrooms are unisex and two only which get filled quickly and can take some time. They had a bacon old fashioned which was amazing. I also had a bourbon nest from a local place in the area. The food was good. I had a salad which was incredible. The atmosphere here is really neat. Your in a gold mine town, this place fits the location a lot. I was very impressed and happy we came here. Service was top notch. read more

I decided to check out Golden Co while on vacation in Denver. Miners Saloon was a causal and fun dining experience. My wife and I shared the charcuterie board and had a few drinks while we were there. The beer list had a lot of local beers and they offered an expansive menu on cocktails. Miners Saloon is a modern day saloon reminiscent of Golden's mining days in the late 1800s. With a rustic, cozy interior and a perfect balance of period details and modern comforts, Miners provides an old West saloon feel with a contemporary edge. We have 24 taps (the most in downtown Golden) and more than 50 beers in bottles and cans. Also featured is our signature Miners Margarita on tap, as well as a tap of cold brew coffee pushed by Nitro and our 44 North Huckleberry Vodka Lemonade. We have an impressive selection of premium scotch, bourbon, whiskey, gin, and vodka and a great craft cocktail menu. We also have a nice wine list and our wines are stored in our "wine shaft." The food menu features shared platters, small plates, paninis, soups, salads and desserts, along with a few modern takes on 1800s saloon fare. Much of the menu is house made, including venison, boar, and bison sausage, dips, sauces, ice creams, pickles, and ricotta cheese. Yes, for beer lovers the concept of self serve from the many taps and pay by the ounce Baxter so many in stock is novel, but I don't drink beer or margaritas and I could not find a simple ice tea. There were sodas from a machine which also did not suit me either. The concept of the scan card seems good for the cafeteria atmosphere and the beer supply but the food places did take credit cards, where at least you see the receipt etc. you leave the card in a box when you leave and they charge the credit card you entered to get it. No real review apparently by the customer. Most of the food I saw in menus and the tables were not my style either, huge portions of mediocre looking food. My husband had trouble figuring it part of the ingredient in the biggest burrito I have ever seen. He could not pick it up fore the crema decorating the tortilla which was thicker than any I've ever seen. On the other hand, my food was fairly good though grease dripped out at every bite. I went with the four glass taster offering and it was hitting on all cylinders. Not a very big seating area but it was enough for us and everyone havin a pint. It tasted more like an IPA, which we both hate, than an Amber. Didn't care for this one at all. After finishing the flight, we each had a Czech lager followed by the pecan brown. The more of the lager I drank, the less I liked it. It was fine, but not sure I'd get it again. All in all, cool place with good beer. Especially on a nice day where you can sit outside.
