And we walked the entire length of all the booths. The market itself was in an area that we'd never been to by some various parks and Royal Palm venues. The booths were wrapping around part of the lake and along a path parallel to the main street. We found a parking spot under the trees when another car pulled out. Everyone was quite friendly, too, as we walked around. Vendors of jewelry, clothing, honey, handmade soaps, pet products like dog chews and dog beds, guacamoles, breads, candles, cookies and brownies, plants, microgreens, gift items, et al. One area had a few food trucks and was near an outdoor picnic table. We did try some delicious and refreshing "made that morning" conch salad. I'd definitely like to come back again. It was fun to browse and get in a comfortable walk as well as getting some ideas for holiday gifts.

They always have some good quality food and stuff you won't readily find available, but I don't go to the meet ups...luckily I do visit breweries...a lot. And with breweries come food trucks...such was the case of how I found Out of Many Cafe. One of my favorite dishes ever...is oxtail. I remember my mother used to make this (she doesn't make many dishes lol) and it would take her 2 days. She'd make this for me on special occasions like birthdays, and whenever I see it on a menu I order it. Luckily after a couple of beers my vision was still on point enough to spot this one the menu. There it was. In all it's glory. Oxtail - $12. My tipsy salvation. I'm salivating right now thinking of it. The plate was HUGE with a generous portion of oxtails and rice. Now, they ran out of veggies and they apologized and asked if I still wanted it. Ummm, did they think I ordered this for the veggies? All jokes aside, it was very nice of them to ask, and as an added bonus he said they would throw in some extra pieces of tail in there for me since I was the last costumer of the night. I'll take extra oxtail over a side veggies ANY DAY. The oxtail was perfect. Kinda different than how Cubans prepare it, but still delicious. The meat fell right off the bones, I don't even think I got my hands dirty like I usually do when eating this. The rice was a huge serving and was also really good. I think it had peas in it? Maybe I imagined that. So if you are likely at a brewery - or I guess a good truck meet up - and come across this Caribbean truck, skip all others! I just hope they run out of veggies again next time I see them!

I can't quite describe why my oxtails from this truck were so different from ALL the Caribbean places I've sampled. They just were. The chopped cabbage, a staple side dish, and the rice with legume (this time a wonderful fleshy bean as opposed to the usual pigeon pea) were perfect. But the big difference, as is often the case with ethnic foods, was the spices the chef used. I've not come across those flavors before. And I've eaten Caribbean in countless places including jamaica. I'll be googling the location of this truck in the future, whenever i want Caribbean food!

I have not tried their food before but apparently someone from our company did and recommended them. At the event, with our group around 50 or so people, they were able to create 3 different dishes for us to choose from. I noticed most people from our company picked their grilled cheese sandwich which I guess that's the dish they are known for. Since my stomach does not take cheese well, I decided to go with the chicken tenders. Overall everyone from my company seemed to enjoyed their food. My chicken tender was pretty good and I love their season fries. Most people picked the Fried Mac and Cheese as the sides and everyone said it was the bomb. Again, cheese and I don't go together well but I did managed to take one bite and it was delicious. Not sure how much these dishes go on their regular menu, but the food we tried were pretty good and hopefully we get to see them again in our next corporate outing so I can try some more different dishes.

It was one of those meals where I just wanted to be left alone so I could enjoy each bite and eat every last French fry while they were still hot! I prefer my meat medium or medium rare, so when I saw the brown burger I was a bit disappointed, but once I bit into it, it was juicy and tasty as desired. This truck is great, and quick! Love it.

1 star La Perrada…read moredel Gordo - Worst service I've ever experienced My husband and I visited La Perrada del Gordo on July 11, 2025, with two family members. We ordered a Hawaiian hot dog, a Choriperro, two appetizers, and drinks, spending about $50. First, our server brought just one hot dog out of the four meals. It looked like a Hawaiian hot dog--pineapple, pink sauce, chips on top--so I assumed it was mine and ate it. However, when the rest of the food arrived over 20 minutes later, my husband realized he'd been given a Hawaiian hot dog instead of the Choriperro he ordered. We told the waitress, who took the plate back, but the manager came over and insisted that what I'd eaten was a Choriperro, not a Hawaiian hot dog. Despite me explaining that I'd already eaten the Hawaiian hot dog, she argued and refused to replace my husband's order with what he originally wanted. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the manager returned to our table carrying a tray with an uncooked regular hot dog and a Choriperro to "teach" us the difference, as though we were clueless. It was humiliating and unnecessary. Yes, I mistakenly ate the wrong hot dog because it was covered in so many condiments that I didn't realize it was the Choriperro--but that's precisely why the staff should have helped fix the mix-up rather than argue and try to "educate" me. Rather than provide good customer service, the manager chose to belittle and embarrass us in front of the restaurant. My husband ended up eating a hot dog he didn't want or enjoy, and we left feeling humiliated and angry. I would never return to La Perrada del Gordo and absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. A simple mistake could have been handled kindly and professionally, but instead, the staff made it the worst dining experience I've ever had.
