After reading two positive reviews on Google Local, I decided to go there tonight and try it for myself. And all I have to say is WHOA. I had an amazing turkey sandwich on Syrian bread and the portion was huge! It was so fresh and so tasty and the price was right. The deli itself is super tiny but that makes it even cooler. Plus, the owners were teaching their daughter how to ring people up while I was there, which is super endearing and great to see in today's society. I love this place. It is a little spot with some of the friendliest staff EVER. We were on our way home heading off the Cape and in need of lunch. We stopped in and I had a chicken salad (homemade) sub with cheese, lettuce, and bacon. It was awesome. My wife had a BLT with cheese and loved it as well. The staff was incredibly kind and took the time to make some of the best subs I have had in a long time. I will definitely be back when we are driving through. This would be a great place to stop on the way to the beach or if you are just hungry for a great sub. read more

I visited Sandwich yesterday and was determined to eat a sandwich while there. I stopped in The Deli and was greeted warmly and assured that my concern for ordering extra meat was unnecessary. I ordered a turkey sandwich with swiss cheese and honey mustard. This sandwich was loaded with turkey. They must have put a pound of fresh sliced turkey on my large sandwich. It was perfect. The owners even referred me to a local place to go eat my sandwich along the canal. I was very pleased at how friendly and hospitable they were. I love family businesses, and they had everything for the perfect sandwich, and the family atmosphere was an excellent bonus. I will absolutely make this a destination for my Cape Cod visits. read more

What a great little place! We were checking out an Open House in East Sandwich and didn't want to wait until we were back in Cochituate before grabbing lunch. We went to Google and asked the tongue-in-cheek question "where can we find a good sandwich in Sandwich?" The answer was The Deli. They were right! Being a native New Yorker, a sandwich needs to be bursting at the seams with meat and toppings. The Italian Sub fit that bill and then some - it was probably the best sandwich I've had in New England. Went here because so many places suck on the cape. This is a more local place that the actual local cape codders go as the parking lot is often full and no one visiting would know to come here. The prices are little overdone and the sanwiches are nothing special, but the deli cuts are good and im sure if i got a more complex sandwich i would've been more impressed then ordering a general buff. chick. sandwich. Great place! The staff was friendly and very patient when trying to hear orders through the plexiglass. Our sandwiches were delicious and fresh (cranberry walnut chicken salad, and egg salad). Stopped here last night on my way home to pick up a sandwich based on the good Yelp reviews. When I went in, the place was empty of customers which was good for me since I wasn't sure what I wanted. I told the young lady behind the counter that I hadn't been there before, and she pointed out how the menu on the board was set up, which I thought was super helpful and nice of her. I ordered a reuben, which is my go-to sandwich of choice when I am trying out a new place. While I was waiting for it to be made, I noticed the glass case filled with about 10 different types of home made brownies. They were huge and looked awesome. I ordered a regular chocolate brownie and a peanut butter brownie. These were probably the best brownies that I have had in a long time. Super moist and flavorful, not dry at all. Wicked filling. The reuben was delicious, the corned beef was PERFECT. My only complaint was that the dressing was a little too sweet for me, but it didn't break my sandwich experience. Also, on my way out a gentleman had come in and was waiting to order next. As I left, I heard them chatting it up, like he was a regular but hadn't been there in a while. Made me think that people know it's worth the wait since this place is so tiny. Such an awesome little hole-in-the wall. Can't wait to go back and try some more sandwiches and brownies! read more

Go to Sub shop for the locals. Sandwiches are nothing gourmet... Just good quality ingredients and done quickly to order. Place is small and it can be tricky when its busy in there, trying to maneuver to grab a beverage and/or bag of chips. $12 large sandwiches... Where do they think they are, the financial district? Also... Do not ask for cheddar in your sandwich, they will give you american cheese. After my first surprise I asked for cheddar on a second visit and was told "we do not have sliced cheddar". Go figure... So, this place was an accidental find! There's no place to sit and eat, wish they had a couple little outside tables. However, I'll keep eating in my vehicle, because that sandwich was the BOMB!!! Downright awesome sandwiches. I come here all the time with my fiance and have never been disappionted! The food is great, cheap and the employees are just wonderful. Not only are they friendly, they are very accurate to your desires. I recently went there and got a Hawaiian sandwich and asked them to add less tomatoes, just enough so that they wouldn't fall out of the sandwich. My sandwich was filled with tomatoes but not once did they spill. Sounds like a small story but they could have just as easily only put in an unsatisfactorily small amount of tomatoes in just to be sure but instead they were exact to my request and it met all my tomato needs without the mess ;) I'd definitely say this place is worth checking out. read more

Lobster roll was one of the best I've had! The lobster salad was fresh, and super refreshing. With lettuce on it is a win! Also enjoyed the chicken salad which was cold and refreshing, and tried a bit of the raspberry walnut chicken salad which was also delicious (hard to choose a favorite!) Both were fresh made right in front of us & the quality of the ingredients was exceptional. They also have gigantic dill pickles that are tangy & crisp. I have just found the best little Dell . I have never had a hot pastrami sub that tasted so good the meat was lean & tender & the wheat sub roll was so soft and fresh. Stopped by on our drive out of the cape back to Boston. I had the turkey melt and would highly recommend adding onions -- it was delicious! Wonderful staff, tasty food. Asked the staff to surprise me with a sammich and they made me an awesome roast beef sandwich and it was savory. They then recommended we eat it on the beach, and what a great breach recommendation! Even the seagulls were polite. We were never molested by the seagulls, the Dolphins or the locals. I've been coming here since I got my license ten years ago because it is the absolute go to if you're in sandwich. The Italian sandwich is beyond amazing and piled high and made to order. I usually stick to the Italian but have veered off in search of another favorite. The hot dogs are also great and there's usually a good deal with them. I wasn't crazy for the buffalo chicken sandwich. But like I said the Italian sandwich is worth the trip and I get it everytime. Chips and soda and magazines makes it the perfect place to stop before heading to the beach for the day which is what I'm usually doing. Doesn't look like much from the outside but definitely worth trying. read more
