Came in looking for breakfast goodies around 8:30/9am but there was no coffee! How is that possible?!? Plenty of staff around but no one greeted us or asked if we needed assistance. The place was empty. They do have an assortment of foods, juices, and a full deli as well as a seating area upstairs and outside. I ordered 12 wraps for a business function, and was SO impressed with the platter they put together. The food looked beautiful. Everyone commented how good the food was, and I never expected containers of mayo and mustard to come with. The woman who took the order a few days earlier was so helpful. I patronize this place regularly and today is the last time I will be doing so. I ordered a bagel, lox. It was 75% cream cheese, and a boatload of Bermuda onions, 2 slivers of tomato's & paltry amt of lox. 1/2 of the bagel didn't even have any lox on it. I ate 1/4 of it & then checked the other half thinking it was just lopsided & all the lox was on 1 side. Unfortunate that was the case. It wasn't. I wiped off 1/2 of the enormous amounts of cream cheese slathered on the bagel. And then picked off the copious amounts of Bermuda onion. And I just gave up. The bagel was a now a complete mess. I thought about just tossing the whole mess in the trash. I thought well maybe I will just go in & show them so they would be aware of it. The last time I was here they were out of lox so maybe they just tried to get away with a small amount. Regardless, it was not an acceptable sandwich to give to a customer. I come to Lambert's bc they are consistently good. I went in & tried to talk with the woman owner just to let he know. She reacted in a snide, hostile manner. Her husband was exactly the same. They BOTH started arguing with me about it. I told them it was not on par with their normal products & services & I wanted let them know. I wasn't expressly blaming the Deli guy. I was trying to convey that they had delivered a sub par product. I didn't want my money back. I told them I would just take a credit. They dragged their feet in the kitchen I believe, hoping I would leave. I tried again to let them know I was giving them direct feedback & an opportunity to address their mistake. Again, more hostility. This was probably the most disappointing customer service situation I have ever been in. I have always been a HUGE supporter of Lambert's but after this extremely hostile & unpleasant experience, I will never patronize this location again. I usually like lamberts, never had an issue before however today I ordered with my co-workers and the owner, Adam, was extremely rude to the person who was giving our food order. Told him to hold on, regretfully didn't actually put him on hold, and stated "this fucking guy" then put him on hold after and another person picked up to take the order. Another coworker went in to pick up our $100 + order and discuss this with him however he took no responsibility and clearly had no remorse on the subject. Customer service is severely lacking. Please do not support Lamberts Market. We purchased 4 muffins for $8.00 last evening at 6:30. This morning when we opened them they were hard and not fresh. We drove back to return them and were told they were not purchased from Lamberts despite having a ticket with address on the plastic container. My husband was accused of being dishonest. The man in the store was rude, would not reimburse us or give us a credit toward another purchase. They do not ever deserve one star This is a terrible way to treat loyal customers who go out of their way to support small business. We' ll never step foot in their again. read more

Let me start off by saying that the non-diverse and uncultured restaurant scene once you come over the sagamore bridge into the cape is nothing at all to be excited about. Time after time these seasonal restaurants and year round ones still surprise me. Lambert's has a good sandwich deli don't get me wrong but, for $8.99 "The Big Pilgrim" claims for oven roasted turkey in their sandwich on their website. In fact it was oven roasted at some point, but in this case it was deli cold cut "oven roasted turkey" rather than warm sliced turkey breast. The whole sandwich was cold including the stuffing which was strange to me. Maybe I was wrong for expecting a warm sandwich and " Thanksgiving 365 days a year " as the description says. In my past we have never had oven roasted cold cut turkey for a thanksgiving meal or cold stuffing. I give it a 4/10 read more

I go to Lambert's for their sandwiches because they are BIG and taste GREAT!!! Their produce and other products I feel are a bit on the pricey side but you would anticpate that with locally grown produce on Cape Cod. Their braided bread is perfect to have with most of their sandwiches and if you plan to walk in their during lunch time be prepared to wait because they take phone orders and everyone wants one of their sandwiches which only shows how popular they are. I would come here every week if I could and their sandwich prices are pretty reasonable for how much you get. read more

Never saw what was so great about this place, they put a premium price on mediocre food. Every time I do go into this place I'm always met with poor customer service, the staff makes you feel like you are annoying them with your business. I've watched them turn customers away with their minimum credit card purchase "preference" not policy. Lambert's attempts to be a quaint local farmers market, but instead comes off as tacky, unprofessional, and not genuine. If you want a good sandwich at a better price and great customer service, go to meeting house a few stores over. You won't be disappointed. read more

Excellent deli counter with many salads and entrees. The meat department carries certified angus beef, Bell & Evans chicken and homemade Italian sausages. The produce is always clean and fresh. I never come here even though I live close by, and after today, I won't be coming back. I paid for my over priced sandwich only to legitimately find a black fly in between the lettuce of my sandwich. To me, this is not only disgusting b/c I likely would have eaten it had I not discovered it, but it's also an indication that they don't wash their produce prior to serving to their customers. First, let me say that I went to this place three times in one week and I regret that I didn't go every day. Everything in the deli section is fresh and there's a huge variety. The sandwiches seem expensive but, since they're all foot longs, they are big enough for two. The cranberry walnut chicken salad was my favorite of all the things I sampled and tasted great in a wrap. I also liked the Greek salad which had generous portions of cheese and olives. I love this place. This is a combination produce market, farm stand, meat counter and wine store with greta prepared meals. The prepared foods are great. Recently we had several people over for lunch at our Cape house, and we had no time to prepare lunch. So I went to Lambert's assembled a wonderful salad from thier extensive salad bar, purchased about a half gallon of clam chowder which was about as good as any I've had on the Cape, and I bought a tray of their lasagna which got rave reviews from my guests. Their prepared meal selection is very extensive with lots of creative and traditional salads, lasagna, wings, sandwiches - I have never been disappointed with any of the food I have tried. And their wine prices are very reasonable too. Having unexpected guests?, putting together a picnic basket? or just don't feel like cooking? Give Lamberts a try! read more

1st time there, Walked in and instead of being greeted by the young boy (teenager?)working there, I was stared at. Walked over to deli area and I had a short wait however, I chose soup. Got the Kale soup which tasted good but I wasn't aware there was pork in it (I don't eat pork). Wish there was a sign near the soup area of the ingredients in each soup choice. Went to check out and the girl at the register had a customer and let me know the guy could take me in the next line. Walked over.. Here was the boy again from when I 1st walked in. He rang everything up, but only opened his mouth to tell me the price. Bagged the cookies(left the bag still attached to the rest on the holder) and gave me a bag for the soup and began to walk away. The other cashier had to ask/tell him. "Well aren't you going to hand her the stuff?" He looked at me and her, said oh and walked away as I grabbed everything myself. Outside of the teenager who lacks basic customer service. The food was good, place was clean, but I Prob won't be back unless there's nothing else around and I'm really hungry. We have shopped at Lambert's locations for years. We love the convenience of good prepared foods and the deli. We purchased sirloin steak strips to grill yesterday and they were delicious. Overall everything is great. We did purchase a strawberry/rhubarb pie yesterday and we were disappointed, to say the least. Everything about the taste was on point, but the rhubarb was relatively uncooked and raw. Whomever is in charge of the baking department should know better. You have to test pies for level of softness on the fruit. Apparently the baker wasn't taught that. It was positively shocking to guests to bite into almost raw rhubarb. read more

A blond woman who works the counter will not take debt cards unless the order is over $7.50 Which is illegal in MA and also higher then most credit card limits of $5. I told her about the legality of it and she just shrugged it off like if you don't like it get out, no "sorry" or "i will look into it". Also there is a teenage boy there, who when i went and used CASH at checkout he dropped change IN my food and just said "ooops" no "grab another" or even "sorry" I been really disappointed at this place. When you call in a sandwich to Lambert's be ready to receive something completely different than what you asked for. Like today I called and asked for a chicken cutlet sandwich would lettuce, tomato cheese and pickles. Seems pretty easy OK 15 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later the kid behind the counter was completely indifferent to what he was doing wrapped up my sandwich and passed it along. when I got into the car I had an abomination of what they consider a chicken panini which is actually chicken with pesto and peppers in a wheat wrap so it's a pressed wrap not a panini and not the sandwich I needes Let me say it that panini's are like this you can hide all your garbage food in it it's too difficult to take it apart to figure out what's in their therefore no one Really goes to the trouble of complaining about what it is either gets eaten or thrown out the window. This time the 2nd was the case, you can conceal all that crap. If someone ca onlls and asked her sandwich just get what they want instead of an ugly wheat wrap with roast chicken in it. You might not like your job find something else to do called service Industry.
