    Breakfast basic

Popular spot in Ma, sandwich. Half hour wait for to get order. The restaurant specialize in brunch. They have a really pretty out door seating for a nice Sunday brunches but not worth for a quick stop. It takes a while to get the food. Between ordering and getting food, make sure to budget time. The restaurant staff is nice, however because of how popular they are they might miss something on the take out bags and over charge for items that was included in the menus. Nevertheless once getting the food, the it is worth it. From the restaurant I got the breakfast basic with one egg, bread and potatoes. The bread is what I expected. The food was pepping hot.

Food - 2/3 of my breakfast was uncooked. Potatoes were warmed. Not cooked. Mushrooms were hard. Uncooked. Toast was asked to be dark. Came back light and unbuttered. There's no true waitstaff that checks on you so if you want to ask a question or get service, you have to get up and find someone. Ambiance is nice. Nothing outstanding. Their nuance to breakfast food isn't to my liking. Raw potatoes is not part of a good breakfast.

Wow! I've come here a few times for a lunch sandwich or salad, but this was my first breakfast experience and it didn't disappoint in the least! I cannot get over how good their German breakfast sandwich was! I can honestly I never would have thought of doing breakfast on a pretzel, and I'm sad this was a first because it was THAT good! Also, I must say picking a breakfast item was super hard because the entire menu is just top notch. Their coffees are so delicious too! It was hard to pick hot or iced, so I may have gotten one of each. Oops! I do not regret this choice at all! I also had to take some of their freshly baked items home for the remainder of the week. I cannot wait to get my hands on them! This place was packed, but it ran effective! The young man who greeted me was wonderful, the cashier was sweet, the barista was excellent and the owner was the most friendly, and helpful gentleman! I can see why it was packed---this cafe is an all around win! It's adorable inside the dining room, staff is great, menu is diverse and super unique, and everything was amazing! I will be back soon!

A solid start to a morning in Sandwich, MA. Cafe Chew is a cutie spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is full of great options but we opted for the Two Chew! Pancakes were crispy and flavorful, eggs were fluffy and fresh, but the bacon could've been better. Coffee was just okay! Service was fast but friendly.

Bustling, busy place in Sandwich, MA offering a variety of menu items, coffee, bakery items (and really, how can you not get a sandwich in Sandwich????) which is obviously extremely popular spot in this Cape Cod town. We chose to get a tuna melt, a freshly brewed unsweetened green tea, and pastrami sandwich and an apple dirt bomb for take out. Our order was ready pretty quickly and we loved all of it. The staff were all so friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Parking is in lot shared lot with other businesses and it was packed when we arrived during a low season rainy day in mid April. So be prepared for high season. Don't think they take reservations. Highly recommend!

Ordered the half a avocado chicken salad. Avocado was not fully ripe and could not believe that it wasn't peeled. Incredibly difficult to eat the salad as I had to take the avocado out, peel it, chop it up and then mix it in the salad. Maybe some advice... peel the avocado for the guests?? and the portion was very small for $16. I totally felt ripped off.

Stopped in here on a whim on my way to grab a brew up the street and I'm sure glad that I did. Cute little bakery/breakfast spot that would be easy to miss. Decided to get a sandwich because I had just seen the sandwich police and I was laughing about their name. Ended up with a California blt since the croissant looked good and I can't recall having a sandwich on one before. It was delightfully fresh but not super filling for the price. I really wish I would have splurged an insulin spike on some of their pastry as it looked fantastic! Staff were really friendly, the decor was inviting and everything was clean. The process of where to stand, where to order, where to pay and how to get a table is a bit convoluted but my take is that it's counter service and grab a table once you get your food. Thankfully it wasn't too busy when I was there, but I imagine a Saturday in July would be kind of wild. Overall, I would definitely make an effort to come back and hopefully when in the mood for a sweet treat.

I appreciated that they had gluten-free options. I got a chocolate chip cookies as big as my head! I got a decent sandwich to go, and it looks like a great place to have breakfast and sit outside. The staff is very friendly.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now, and glad I finally did. Some bomb sandwiches here. Great customer service. Was surprised how busy they were in the middle of winter. I can only imagine how busy they are in the summer months. Will definitely be back.

Very disorderly. Walk into a line, nobody knows what's going on. Nobody to seat you. We had to order at a counter & tell them we wanted to get a table. Owner or manager is picking friends out of the line & seating them. People cutting lines. Just.pure Chaos!

Had a late lunch here while on vacation. You go up to the counter to order and then they bring out your food. Coffee was delicious and made quickly. I ordered a special-half avocado with chicken salad and a large green salad. Everything was fresh and the portion tasted great and was generous.

Cute & bustling cafe in Sandwich with tasty brunch food. The operation was a little bit clunky, though. On Saturday morning, the line was out the door. There was a host, telling us general wait times. But you're supposed to claim your own table? With the permission of the host? & then order at the counter? Or, in our case, we were told to order at the counter first & then hopefully by the time our food was ready, there would be a table available. But other folks were snagging tables when we weren't looking? It was a bit of a mess! The host was visibly stressed, too. So I don't think this operation is working. Congratulations to the business, because they are so busy that they need to consider updating their M/O. Best of luck, Cafe Chew!

Server dumped my salad from a glass plate into a takeout container IN FRONT OF ME mid bite(?!) salad is basically just lettuce.

Charming place for breakfast very good food and service. I would definitely go off-season because it is absolutely packed in the summer.

Still a hit for breakfast or lunch even with new ownership. Definitely a go to stop for well crafted food.

Sweet cafe with delicious sandwiches. Lots of locals looked like they were there on a chilly March morning. Easy parking.

First, they are an everything artisan food store: sandwiches to be made or pre-made to-go, a fine wine collection (caveat emptor - they tend to store the finer wines vertically - a major wine faux paus), fine artisan pasta, organic bakery, and a very nice British-style candy offering. Secondly, in the wine room off to the side they have a table and chairs where you can sit and sip your coffee. No bathroom. Only one table. With four chairs. My only complaint, well, not really a complaint per se, an observation. In my empirical experience, the lady who runs the cash register seemingly watches you, as though you are going to shoplift. It's a little uncomfortable, as we are Harvard educated yuppies, dressed right out of the Preppy Handbook, and we don't present ourselves in a sketchy or shifty manner. It's ok, ma'am, that little inconvenience is worth your offerings a couple of times a year. It's Jarvesville, not Twin Peaks.

The brewery is right on the beach, so you have stunning oceanfront views from basically every seat. There's a bunch of outdoor seating (which is kind of shaded, but was still sooo hot in July), a really cool tap room upstairs, and one of the best brewery merch stores I've seen on the ground floor. We visited on 4th of July weekend, so the minimal parking next the brewery was totally full. Luckily, there's an overflow lot with a shuttle van about 5 minutes down the road. It was pretty tricky to find however, so be sure to ask the staff in the on-site parking lot for specific directions if you need to get there. They serve all the same great beer you expect from Tree House, plus they have a nice little cocktail bar outside, so there's something for everyone. I really liked the Cape Hound and the Rum Punch. They also have great pizzas and lobster rolls, which are a bit pricey but worth the splurge in my opinion. You can also pick up cans to go here, and because Tree House doesn't distribute otherwise, that's a huge win for any locals in the area. Great spot to visit on your trip to Cape Cod. We'll be back!
