It definitely helps pass the time and makes the experience a little better. If you're coming during prime time, just plan ahead and expect a wait. The bays are nice, if you want a little coverage, they have bays that are covered and have fans, plus a tracking system. Compared to a year ago under previous owners; this course now is in the best condition I've ever seen it. Fairways excellent; Greens excellent( but fast). I played a 10 AM tee time and like most courses they so overbook you wait on the tee box. Not here not this day weather was mid 70's and all was smooth. Played course in 3.5 hours group of 4. Range in great shape prices very reasonable. If you have played here before and was dissappointed. Try it again; This is not the same course from a year ago. And stop in the club house for lunch and a beer. Sandwich and fries under 5 bucks; come on ya can't get anything better for that. Unfortunately; there is no cart girl to speak of. They do a great job keeping it in shape, even when the area suffers through dry conditions. The layout starts off with a very easy par 4, but from there the challenge begins. The 2nd hole is an elevated tee-box par 5 where water comes into play. In fact, water DOESNT come into play on only about 6 holes. The signature hole here is clearly the par 3 number 12, which is an island green. You can really psyche yourself out when looking at an island, and I've left a few short here as well as a few where I flew the green. SPLASH!!!

Although we've been down to the Daytona area many times, I had no idea until last week that this…read moreplace existed. Hidden off the A1A between some condo high rises and back by the Publix, Walgreens and Shores Community Center. Don't let the name fool you. While it is called a golf club, and I guess there are memberships, it is very much a public course that aside from the brief times when they have leagues, you just show up and play. A few notables: - Right now the course is "under construction" which to me looks like they are just trying to grow some fresh grass on their tee boxes. This means right now it's all temp. tees which only make short holes even shorter. - You can check the layout and distances on their site before you play but right now I don't think anything except maybe #8 is over 100 yards and the shortest are in the mid-20's. You could load the ball in your ass and fart it on the green easier then using a club for something that short. - Obviously with a course this small there are no motorized carts. Everything is walking but they do rent pull carts and clubs and they sell balls and if you're so inclined tees. Do you really need a tee to play here? No, you can get by with a wedge and a putter although if you do rent clubs, they give you a bag with a putter, a wedge or two and an 8 and 9. - Was it busy? Not at all. It was a hot as hell Sunday and aside from two older guys who stopped around five to let us play through, we had the place to ourselves. The guy in the clubhouse said in summer they are usually dead and that most of their rounds are from snowbirds who play far more in winter when it's still warm, but not right now when it feels like you're playing on Mercury. - Hours are 7:30 to 6 during DST and until 5 during standard time. Overall the course is a bit beat up with some brown fairways and greens but the pricing is decent and it's always more fun when you mostly have the course to yourself. I got sick of not being able to improve by my mid 40's and started to look for lessons that would help me improve or quit the game as I spent thousands of dollars each year on golf. Within 5-6 lessons with Adam he fixed 3-4 of the big problems in my golf swing and got me as close to a pro golf swing as I have ever experienced. I wish I had taken lessons from Adam 20 years ago. This was the best value per dollar for golf lessons I have ever seen or experienced. If you want to improve you golf game quickly, the quicker you can engage with Adam the better off you will be.

I've now played here four weekends in a row. The staff is terrific, the layout rivals most high-end courses in Central Florida, and the conditions are consistently strong. After several swings in his simulator, he quickly identified that my grip and stance were both off. Fast forward to 2 lessons later. Played a round with my wife yesterday and was crushing them off the tee and going straight. Even hit the greens from 150 yards out. Nice par. Would definitely recommend.
