I reached out to Kostas and Michael after being referred highly to me by 3 other lawyer firms. They were a little dry at first and this was all new not fully understanding the process. It can get costly and frustrating with dealing with the other side. Alot of games and delays depending on how the other lawyers are. The better that you are prepared with proof and info to give Kostas and Michael the better. Sometimes it was confusing but also there were 4 beneficiaries to deal with. But I have to admit I felt that being informed with process of litigation was rushed and felt that we the beneficiaries were not ready for the other side. Because this was all new they are so used to it that we are nervous wrecks and they are calm and so used to it. They do fight for you and they did fight for us the mediator did not do his part there questions that was asked the mediator didn't come back with an answer. They were legit and credible and proof showing the negligence. It came down to money the other side had access to trust money. So they played the game bluffing Kostas and Michael did there fight for us Mediator that we had as not neutral that i firmly believe. Demiris law firm would have won our case if we could have been able to call there bluff. This is where the mediator dropped the ball and didn't look at the evidence we provided. Kosta's law firm is a joke I had him representing me as his client for almost 3 years and paid him thousand's of dollars of my retirement money !!! I got behind a month and he basically threatened me one week before my hearing to drop me as his client !! I was at the hearing by myself !but he was on the court phone & video !! The judge asked him why did you drop your client one week before the hearing he told the judge he got behind on payments!!! The judge told him you cannot drop your client one week before !! So the judge asked me if I wanted new representation with a new judge I said yes !! But he kept thousands and thousands of dollars of mine basically he stole it !! So now I'm taking him to court And the California State Bar Association Said that I could get half of my Attorney Fee's back that he did nothing for my case !!! PS. Demiris and I had an initial consult in which he was rude and condescending. He began by getting the facts of my case wrong; I tried to correct those so he could continue, after that, to expound. He wouldn't let me and instead informed me that he was the Doctor (of law)--I was the patient--and I should just be quiet. I did not reply that he was welcomed to call me Dr. as well-- which was accurate, not fictionalized. I suspect there was some chauvinism in the whole business--it would be worse if he's like that with everyone, globally patronizing, I suppose. read more
