This one is very durable and cute. It snaps in place on my upper teeth. I noticed this morning while I was waking up, I was physically unable to clench or bite down on one side like I normally do. Amazing, it works like a supportive brace. Previous night guards I gave up on because they hurt and didn't help at all, very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep at all in them. I highly recommend this particular type of night guard. I was looking for the nearest dental clinic by me here. I called his clinic Monday morning when they open & he was able to see me that afternoon after I was done with work. I was given this tooth desensitizer which I told my usual dental clinic about & now I get it at every dental cleaning at my normal clinic & I haven't had tooth pain ever since! WOW!!! New patient here following my dear Queen Bee into this practice. I filled out all the new patient…read morepaperwork they provide online and brought it all with me, along with the request for transfer of dental file records from my previous dentist. I arrived at 1350hrs and saw 4 others waiting in lobby. Grrr...I thought since I had 1400 appointment. Lo and behold all the rest of 'em were called in before then, and I was called in at 1405! Not bad at all!! I was heartily welcomed by the receptionist, who had me fill out a couple of small forms that they don't put online. When I first made the appointment, they directed me efficiently and in a courteous manner. You can also request online appointments if you prefer. Either way, they text and email you often enough so you don't forget about the appointment. I counted a total of 8 texts and emails for this one, and I also received two more about my next appointment in 4 months!! Good thing they do this, because if you are a no show, they charge a $50 no show fee. As the receptionist put it they "just want you to communicate with us!" So off I went with Taylor, the hygienist I wound up getting. She, like the receptionist and the dentist herself, were incredibly happy and positive, welcoming types who went outta the way to make one feel comfortable and appreciated. Personally, I have no use for effervescence of personality...I was a lil taken back by it, but they didn't go over the edge into the never never land of bubbly banality. They took X-rays as well as projections of my choppers before getting started with the cleaning part...I've never had so many X-rays taken of my mouth by any other dentist I remember in nearly 60 years of life. Extremely thorough, as they also were with my gums, soft palate and most everything else one finds in one's mouth these days. Taylor was pretty quick and efficient, and despite how totally, overthorough they are, it was all finished about an hour later. All they had to happen was the doctor herself to show up. Dr Griffin, as I alluded elsewhere, was another effervescently elocutionist. She did the typical poking and looking about that the DMD and DDS Types do, while being personable, welcoming and fairly quick at the same time. First time customers/patients also get an oral cancer screening and a fluoride treatment added onto the regular regimen. As a result, I walked out with a copay of $100+ as opposed to my regular nominal few shekels. Office itself is very modern, new and full of the latest dental gizmos, hardware and software. Lobby is fairly comfortable and plenty of exam rooms in the back too. Michelle was the lady who checked me outta there; also friendly and personable. My medical practice should take a hint from these people about friendliness and approachability. Finally: they moved across the street from where they once were on East Bay just within the last few months, so now they're in the front of East Bay Plaza. It's a new outbuilding next to the Intuit Bank branch there. By and large I was impressed with the whole thing with one small exception... I didn't care for the loud piped in music blaring through the whole office. It was mainly modern and urban rock, which I don't find a calming choice for a dental office. Maybe turn down the volume a little, please? I really don't wanna hear Fleetwood Mac while I'm getting my teeth cleaned. Beyond that, I'd heartily recommend this practice to all you fans of dental hygiene out there in Yelpland. Choosy choppers, glamorous gum lines and bitingly bumptious bicuspids would easily elect the friendly focus on "you, the patient" here. Help yourself to the free bottled water in the lobby, have a seat and be prepared to be taken care of by a totally thorough, highly happy and pleasingly professional dental dream team.

I mistakenly thought dentists I visited took care of my dental needs. I found Dr.'s Strupp/Brumm through a relative. I finally found an honest assessment and evaluation of all which was needed. The team put together with Strupp/Brumm Cosmetic Dentistry includes referrals to highly competent specialists. One of these specialists discovered a cotton ball under an amalgam filling which was placed fifty years before and the tip of an explorer broken off in the canal of another endodontically treated tooth from eleven years ago (all the dentists between then and now missed these problems). This dental history shows the high-level care I experienced before arriving in this team's hands. Several all-day sessions spread over several months and my full mouth reconstruction is complete. Dr. Brumm and his chairside assistants are unmatched in their diligence, attention to detail, and skill. Behind the scenes were the lab personnel who managed to construct near perfect teeth which are indistinguishable from natural teeth in shape, color, spacing, and bite. They even accommodated for several teeth which were not aligned (straight) giving me the best bite possible. The color matches my complexion, completely unlike many smiles (blindingly white) seen in commercials on television. You know, the ones you have to wear sunglasses to look at If you are looking for the best quality for your dental needs, this is where you should visit. Both my wife and I who are in our 60's wanted to have better looking (and functioning) teeth. My wife's 4 front teeth had heavy bonding for the last 40 years. Her bite was off from braces acquired 40 years ago; tooth color had also changed. My teeth were functional, but all different colors and sizes and pointing in different directions. We did not know where to go. We had consultations with several well known cosmetic dentists in California and NYC. What was recommended varied widely from braces to veneers to do nothing at all. We checked out the Strupp/Brumm website and the photo gallery was exactly what we were looking for: a beautiful and natural look. So we scheduled consultations for both of us. The Strupp/Brumm consultations were fairly extensive, lasting several hours. It was clear to Dr. Brumm that both of us would benefit from full dental reconstructions. My wife was skeptical. But I jumped in and made the appointments for myself. After the first treatment, my wife joined me. Dina was our coordinator and she did a fabulous job including scheduling, answering our many questions, and dental assisting. She is very professional with great personality. It was a joy to have her working on our case. Drs. Strupp and Brumm are not just great dentists, they are also very personable. The staff are professional and nice, making the long hours of dental work very pleasant. The beautiful spacious office and nearby Clearwater Beach are also pluses. Because of our extensive dental work we were very anxious but the staff and the Drs. make the visits very comfortable. They even served us lunch in the office! Last but not least we would like to mention Jim Free, the in-house ceramist at the office. He is an artist. He crafted our teeth in the in-house lab. He listened to us and worked with us throughout the whole process. At the last fitting, he made alterations on the spot to accommodate our final requests. According to Dr. Strupp, Jim was ranked 2nd in the International Championship Competition of ceramist technicians. To us he is #1. The final product was sets of teeth we could only dream of.
