Dr. Morretton came in after staff did their x-ray of tooth #4 and explained the planned treatment and numbing needed. He numbed the area before injecting the area in front and back of the tooth, felt pressure but no pain. He the did some drilling and locating the nerve canals, then did each root canal. Advised to take Tylenol 500 mg and ibuprofen 600 mg every 6 hours as needed for pain and start before the anesthetic wore off. Took Tylenol initially as had in the car and took naproxen 440 mg when I arrived home. No pain after the 1st dose of pain meds. Pleased with the care and results received.

I also decided to have Dr. Kimmel do my wisdom teeth removal here instead of going to a surgery center. He did a great job I had no dry sockets or any infection. They have probably made lots of money off my fam because we always have cavities!! Lol but it is a great family place we will continue to go to for years. Here's what occurred: We immediately passed along to Geist Dental Care the documents we received from our orthodontist after our child's regular cleaning was not done properly by Geist Dental Care. Furthermore, we offered to provide another copy of these same documents to Geist Dental Care again, when we requested a refund for unauthorized billing, as we suspect that Geist Dental Care is not maintaining proper record-keeping in this disorderly office. Unbelievably, Geist Dental Care stole money from the Croom family through unauthorized billing, even though we kindly arranged for their office to correct the crappy cleaning job that our orthodontist pointed out to us. In hindsight, we should have left Geist Dental Care immediately when our orthodontist reported the documented problems to us. In other words, Geist Dental Care--a disorderly, dysfunctional, dishonest, declining dental office--is simply worthless. This is why Geist Dental Care is no longer serving the Croom family. We just hope that those families and employees who haven't yet left Geist Dental Care (not to mention any new families or employees) are not ruined by the dirty dealings of this business (see multiple Yelp and Google reviews that evidence dirty dealings). I didn't read yelp reviews before our visits and I am glad I did not. We did not have a negative experience at all. Just the opposite. We went in for cleaning. They greeted us with holiday spirit and decor. It was Valentine's Day. Paperwork was done in advance. We gave them insurance cards and driver's license and went right in. My husband and I had treatment at the same time, in different rooms, of course. The took FULL mouth X-ray, I mean every tooth and took pictures of every tooth. They did a gum check and a head X-ray When we returned to the room, I had already said a filling had just fallen out. It had a large cavity underneath. (I had x-rays about 6 mo ago and my other dentist did not find it. ) I flossed the filling out and was surprised at the size of the cavity. Once all was done I was told with my insurance no charge. What a surprise. They made arrangements for the filing the next day My husbands treatment was equally good and they found some gum disease Deep cleaning would be necessary and he would return the next day also Charges were quoted on both services and seemed straight forward and reasonable. We went in the next day they were ready. Jan was done first but mine took awhile do to the size of the cavity Dr Sara offered me a pillow, blanket or squeeze ball to make me less anxious It was not necessary as she and her assistant were very gentle making sure I was ok. Dr Sara did the drilling and then her assistant filled the cavity. She explained she had done this type of work for 26 years. She checked for perfection and then had Dr Sara return to double check. It was beyond other dental procedures I have had Jan will go back more often for cleanings but they explained they will be covered by insurance because they are medically necessary and are coded differently for payment by insurance The staff was knowledgeable, obviously trained to go beyond for patient care and can work independently Our old dentist had teeth cleaners and took 4 x-rays. This was beyond that. We have follow up appointments made. Very pleased with our care so far.

She stated that she notified my insurance company and was told that since the dentist did X-ray and evaluation in September and again in November that I would need to pay out of pocket for this which in total will be $125. But the cleaning is covered. I told her that I could not pay that and to cancel my appt. The lady told me there would be a $50 cancellation fee the day of. I told her how is this on me if I wasn't told until today. She said they always call insurance the day of appt. Needless to say that this is totally inappropriate for the situation. When I went for the visit, Dr. Langdon was friendly and put me at ease as he explained what my xray revealed. I saw Dr. Langdon two days later (today) to have the crown placed on the tooth. He was caring, gentle and very attuned to my comfort. The dental chair had massage features. I was able to watch HGTV while the crown was prepared. It was very comfortable! As a senior citizen, I have been to many dentists in my life and Dr. Langdon ranks among the best if not the best! He made a crown right in HIS office without messy trays that I always dreaded. I arrived at 7:45 AM, I was out at 10AM. He has early hours 2 days a week to accommodate working people or anyone who wants their dental work done as soon as possible. The office staff of Genevive and Laura and the dental assistant, Kaitlyn, who helped Dr. Langdon with my crown were all very caring and made me feel appreciated. His office has a convenient parking lot. The office is clean, modern and very patient friendly. Watch out they are also pushing Invisalign. I have perfectly straight teeth and was given a presentation about Invisalign last time I was there that really put me off. I felt like they were selling me stuff instead of caring about my medical concerns. It's a shame how downhill this place has gone.
