Here's the bottom line: The money that Geist Dental Care stole from the Croom family is worth less than my hourly billable rate. So, our response to what occurred is a matter of principle. Here's what occurred: We immediately passed along to Geist Dental Care the documents we received from our orthodontist after our child's regular cleaning was not done properly by Geist Dental Care. Furthermore, we offered to provide another copy of these same documents to Geist Dental Care again, when we requested a refund for unauthorized billing, as we suspect that Geist Dental Care is not maintaining proper record-keeping in this disorderly office. Unbelievably, Geist Dental Care stole money from the Croom family through unauthorized billing, even though we kindly arranged for their office to correct the crappy cleaning job that our orthodontist pointed out to us. In hindsight, we should have left Geist Dental Care immediately when our orthodontist reported the documented problems to us. In other words, Geist Dental Care--a disorderly, dysfunctional, dishonest, declining dental office--is simply worthless. This is why Geist Dental Care is no longer serving the Croom family. We just hope that those families and employees who haven't yet left Geist Dental Care (not to mention any new families or employees) are not ruined by the dirty dealings of this business (see multiple Yelp and Google reviews that evidence dirty dealings). The Croom family believes in giving to those who are in need. And it is clear to us that Geist Dental Care is not only a disorderly, dysfunctional, dishonest, and declining dental office, but Geist Dental Care is also desperate. My insurance changed to include dental services. It was necessary to change dentist and I contacted several, deciding on Geist Dental Care. Dr Sara Aikhatib DDS. I didn't read yelp reviews before our visits and I am glad I did not. We did not have a negative experience at all. Just the opposite. We went in for cleaning. They greeted us with holiday spirit and decor. It was Valentine's Day. Paperwork was done in advance. We gave them insurance cards and driver's license and went right in. My husband and I had treatment at the same time, in different rooms, of course. The took FULL mouth X-ray, I mean every tooth and took pictures of every tooth. They did a gum check and a head X-ray When we returned to the room, I had already said a filling had just fallen out. It had a large cavity underneath. (I had x-rays about 6 mo ago and my other dentist did not find it. ) I flossed the filling out and was surprised at the size of the cavity. Once all was done I was told with my insurance no charge. What a surprise. They made arrangements for the filing the next day My husbands treatment was equally good and they found some gum disease Deep cleaning would be necessary and he would return the next day also Charges were quoted on both services and seemed straight forward and reasonable. We went in the next day they were ready. Jan was done first but mine took awhile do to the size of the cavity Dr Sara offered me a pillow, blanket or squeeze ball to make me less anxious It was not necessary as she and her assistant were very gentle making sure I was ok. Dr Sara did the drilling and then her assistant filled the cavity. She explained she had done this type of work for 26 years. She checked for perfection and then had Dr Sara return to double check. It was beyond other dental procedures I have had Jan will go back more often for cleanings but they explained they will be covered by insurance because they are medically necessary and are coded differently for payment by insurance The staff was knowledgeable, obviously trained to go beyond for patient care and can work independently Our old dentist had teeth cleaners and took 4 x-rays. Lying doesn't make a good first impression lol. I found them through a 'provider search' on my insurer's website and booked an appointment through their online booking feature. The appointment was for the next day. I assumed there had been a cancellation and was excited for my luck. Fast forward to the next day. I missed a call from an unknown number and the VM said to call back. When I do, the first thing out of the woman's mouth was a lie. She says, 'we've been trying to call you for days.' I say, that's impossible, because I only made the appointment yesterday. She then says, "well we've tried to call since yesterday and hadn't been able to reach you for some additional information and so need to reschedule your appointment. The doctor is sick anyway." I then say, you didn't call any time other than this morning and because of you've lied (TWICE now), I have no interest in rescheduling. What in the world kind of business has front staff who lie! My cousin is a Dental Assistant here, and after she heard me mention that my primary dentist retired, she added me to their new patient waiting list. It took about 6th months for this appointment to be available,as Dr. Quadri was quite booked! First off, it was about to storm and they offered to push my scheduled time up an hour, so that I wouldn't get caught in that mess. I was very appreciative of that. The service was very prompt, the staff was very knowledgeable and as promised,they took great care of me! Chaya was my Hygienist and she was amazing. Dr. Quadri followed her and complimented my overall oral care, as well as gave me information for treatment that I requested. I closed out the appointment with Sierra who explained my initial intake and out of pocket costs (which was ZERO thanks to my AWESOME insurance)! However, after telling their front desk staff to STOP calling me multiple times now and am reminded of my experience I felt compelled to write my review. I first went to this office about a year ago for a general check-up because I needed a new dentist since I no longer worked in a dental office and my dentist prior to that had retired due to injury. I arrived at this office and received a good cleaning and was happy with that and set up my appointment to have a few fillings done. After getting the fillings done, I experienced the worst pain I've ever had with dental work. My jaw was swollen (not uncommon for a back molar and I have mild TMJ, so I wasn't shocked with that) and I could not eat where the dental work was done because of the pain when chewing. The swelling went away after a few days, but the pain did not. This started my multiple visits to the office for over two months. The tooth in question had been adjusted, redone, and adjusted again. This did nothing for my pain. Eventually, I lost my confidence in her because I figured at this point I needed to get a root canal and/or crown which she had kept pushing off. I can understand not being confident that either is needed, but that is the reason there are Endodontists who can confirm those kinds of treatments for when Routine Dental Doctors don't feel comfortable moving forward. I did end up going to another dentist's office and he did not see anything from the X-Rays they provided to him or the ones he took that could explain it. He right away referred me to an Endodontist, which I figured he would since I was familiar with the dental field. Eventually, I did get a root canal and a crown. With this office's Doctor's hesitation on what treatment to continue with, it makes me feel like she made a mistake and didn't know what to do. I cannot confirm a mistake was made, but the almost weekly appointments for an extended period of time, while I was in pain, was not okay. Even if she did everything right with the initial and redo the procedure, I feel like she should have taken more steps to make sure things were made right. I had to schedule my appointments out each time when I called in while I was experiencing this. Since it is Dental Office hours, I had to take off work for this and hope there was something sooner rather than later available when I would call in. Most times I was told to wait a few more days, even though I was in a LOT of pain because they felt it would get better with time. I would call them after their suggested time period to only have to be scheduled out longer and be in pain longer. They knew I was experiencing issues with a procedure that was done there, but I felt that my pain was pushed under the rug. read more

To update my last review, the issues I had were resolved at no charge so I'm increasing the rating to a 2 star. (I did receive a random bill for $7 that later came in the mail with no description.) I requested that Dr. Green do the rest of the work herself, and didn't have any issues after that. She put the crown back on that had come off over the weekend and used a stronger glue. (I'm not sure why they didn't start with that glue. To make matters worse the emergency number on their phone recording was a wrong number so I had to live with the pain for a few days.) She smoothed the jagged tooth that was left from the filling, and she added filling to the teeth that had been hollowed out but not completely filled back up. It required multiple trips and was a massive hassle, but in the end it was resolved. I got a second opinion on the xrays and the other dentist agreed with Dr. Green's interpretation. I won't be going back, but if I did I would make sure Dr. Green did the dental work. read more

While these ladies are really kind, I am skeptical of a few things... I've had REALLY awful pain after getting several fillings done over the past couple years. I decided to seek a second opinion bc everyday I was in excruciating pain. I went to get a second opinion and was told SO MUCH helpful information that could be causing my pain that I wasn't told at Geist dental care. I am on antibiotics bc my X-rays showed cloudy sinuses. I was also told that I have high pulp points, which is caused by getting a filling. This could lead me to getting a root canal if it doesn't get better!! I really try to take care of my teeth so anything that requires more dental treatment is upsetting. I hadn't had any issues with my teeth or sinuses until after I got the fillings done. That makes me question honesty as well as good technique practices and whether or not that affected my outcome. The second dentist also helped me out financially for a TMJ splint- something Geist dental care didn't even bother to bring to the table. I am young and not made of money and I have state insurance bc I can't afford anything else. If it weren't for that second opinion, I'd be left in the dark and my health would've gotten worse. read more

This office is not professional! The dentist attempted a root canal on my daughter and could not complete it after being in the chair 4 hours as the dentist broke an instrument in her canal. I was promised a full refund. I called after 3 weeks and was informed I would be refunded approximately 1/3 of what I paid not the total amount. I recently found out they clean your retainer if you bring it in during your visit and they even gave me a new case for it in my favorite color (mint blue). I called yesterday to see if I could get in and hey told me to come in today at 10 with my new patient paperwork filled out. I showed up on time but was not seen until 1130 and waited another 30 minutes for the dentist to tell me she could not pull my tooth. I was told I was an emergency visit so I had to wait for the people with appointments. I called the day before not the day of, I had an appointment. I sat in that office for two hours and all I got were two prescriptions to "help" until I found someone who could remove the tooth. The office also had a weird odor and the chair was damp when I sat down. I will never step foot in this establishment again! Wasted two hours of my life. read more

Dr Quadri (Greene) is absolutely amazing! She is very detail oriented and took her time to explain all treatments with me. She had a very gentle touch, and all my dental work done by her has been flawless. My hygienist Chaya was very pleasant. Trace up front was helpful with the finances. Overall, they were not too pushy with any of the treatment plans and I liked that. I would recommend Dr Quadri and Geist Dental Care to all my friends and family! read more

I have given this office several chances but it has never been the same since Dr. Hua left. I have been quoted 1 price before the work, and then charged a lot more when done. I would never recommend this office. I a, curious as to why there has been such a turn over in staff in the last few years? I came in at 11am for sensitivity and totally forgot about a call for work that i needed to run at noon. They knocked it out of the park with service - diagnosed and filled a cavity and i was home and ready for my call with time to spare. The customer service was above and beyond.
