Being half Dutch, I was drawn to the name of The Denver Dutchman. I had two TV mounts and a soundbar I wanted installed, so of course I checked Yelp first before asking for a quote. Tyler was prompt with his reply, and the quote was very reasonable. When I met him, he brought along his assistant, Mike. I showed them what I wanted mounted and where, and they went to work. It turns out Mike has the exact TV I wanted mounted in the living room. He told me I had some pieces of hardware missing, but I knew I had them in a box in storage, so I would have to go get them. Tyler and Mike had family trips planned for the following week, and they offered to come back during vacation to finish the job. I told them that wasn't necessary, and they came back the week after. Honestly just incredible!! We had some bad experiences in the past with contractors and had a bit of anxiety about being burned again but man did we got lucky finding Tyler & Mike! We will use them for everything possible from here till forever now. They remodeled our entire master suite ...new walls, turning a tub into a rain shower, tiling, flooring, electric, doors... you name it, they did it with fantastic detail. They'd ask questions during the remodel about choices I never even thought about it which was so helpful! On top of the great craftsmanship the fact that they were super communicative, showed up on time every day and stayed in budget was just the best feeling in the whole world. No one likes to leave this kind of review, but I cannot recommend The Denver Dutchman and feel like I need to share our horrific experience that cost $11,000 and a month to repair. We hired them for some handyman projects that were outlined in advanced - fixing a few misaligned drawers, installing two ceiling fans, and replacing faucets (nothing wrong with old ones, just diff style) and Tyler assured us he could do all of these things. Fast forward to 36 hours after they finished and we have water pouring from a fire alarm on our main level and go upstairs to see that a faucet had had a slow drip from the pipe within a cabinet since Friday and the bathroom was flooded. Note: this was our guest bath, and while we checked the faucet after installation to be sure tehy worked per his instructions, the drip was slow enough that it was not immediately noticeable and we had not been back in the guest room. We then noticed that all of the other faucets he installed now had water pooling at the pipe junctures. Tyler came over not once but twice to "fix" all of the faucets with no change. We had a plumber come to check his work who basically said Tyler should not have been doing plumbing work as every single faucet was not installed correctly - they were simply all too loose. Our ceiling had started pooling indicating water damage up to 10 feet from where the water came out. A large section of our main level ceiling had to be completely cut out and restoration work took just under a month to finish, with us having to live through not being able to access parts of our house, fans running constantly, and workers in and out for weeks. All of which would've been avoidable if he had expressed that they should not do the plumbing work. To be honest, this is the tip of the iceberg. Tyler is a nice guy and we appreciated him working quickly with his insurance for us to receive the $11,00 reimbursement but there were many, many other points where we were frustrated with their work and handling of the situation. One of the fans doesn't work properly and a shower they changed out the hardware in is having serious issues but we will naturally be finding someone else to address these. The drawer works great - so while I am not saying that every experience will be like ours, I felt it was my responsibility to share. read more

I used Tyler recently to have work done prior to putting a house on the market. He was very responsive and came out quickly to assess the work to be done. His quote was very fair and his work was top notch! He came when he was scheduled and had an additional employee to get working on several items including replacing a kitchen faucet, paint touch up on about 3000 sq feet of home, filling in some plaster cracks, and repairing an issue with a walk in tub. Needless to say he had the home so well repaired we had an offer after 3 days and for 55k over asking price! I know it would not have been so quick of a sale without his hard work and timeliness. Even after he was done with all the work but the tub he's kept in contact and even has gone back to the property while we've worked with the tub company to get parts that can't be found in the metro area. He spent a good amount of time scouring different stores trying to find the part we needed on his own. I am so grateful to have used him and would not hesitate to hire him again! In this day and age where it's difficult to find a responsive home improvement business and an owner who truly knows what customer service is I am so happy I trusted him with my home repair needs. It has been over a month since we had various misc. jobs done at our house. We had a list of "FIX"-things around the house that an old fashioned "handyman" was needed. Someone with common sense was needed, someone who could figure out solutions to household troubles. These guys are Rockstars!! A bathroom irritation that we we're living with (and would of continued), they figured out the Way to make it work-and it was not $700 and a week of construction that someone else told us we needed to do. Tyler was really helpful with an urgent repair during the pandemic! We had a leak from the second-floor bathroom into our office below that was showing up as a big bubble on the ceiling, and Tyler re-grouted the bathroom, ripped out the bubble, and dry wall-ed the ceiling back in a reasonable amount of time. He alternated his work on that project with fixing broken tiles on our front stoop, so now the stairs are safer!
