This was my favorite winery in Murphy! They have a sister winery closer to Angel camps. It's called Above The Rush and that one offers bites with wine pairing, tasting fee is still waived with bottle. The bites were delicious really brought out the tastes of their wine! read more

We have visited the small tasting room on Main street a couple times and enjoyed the Malbec and Evolution. The servers have been nice its one of my favorite places to taste in town. Decided to visit their winery Above the Rush down the road as they serve those wines and Aloria. I wasnt a fan of some of he Above the Rush labels but we found a couple more Alorias we liked and bought a few bottles. Their facility could use some improvement like a better patio area. The tasting room is very small and gets very loud when there are a few groups in there. The young servers were very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. It was a good visit but we will probably stick with going to the Main street tasting room in the future we liked that venue better. read more

From their tasting room in downtown Murphys, their absolutely stunning vineyards, and their new tasting room (Above the Rush) - so much thought, care, service, and craftsmanship has been put into every detail. Rob, Sheri, Ryan, and the entire crew are knowledgeable and passionate about their products. Whether your a novice or wine connoisseur, you will fit right in. The flights and bites at Above the Rush are next level. They help you to explore the wine tasting in a whole new way. I highly recommend it. My favorite is their sparkling Syrah (Shirazzy) which is beautiful and unique as a sparkling red. It won awards along with their Tempranillo, Alborino and other unique varietals they offer. It's a small, family owned winery that truly cares about everyone who walks in their doors. Their wine club events are outstanding. I tasted here over Thanksgiving break and I sure did have not only a great tasting but an amazing wonderful time in the tasting room. Had some friends in from out of town and did a bunch of fun things. The one thing they mentioned over and over again was the wonderful wine tasting at Above the Rush (sister to Aloria). I have owed Aloria a GLOWING review for years now. I've been a wine club member since 2019 and have loved every minute of it. Their tasting room is in a spot on Main Street that I always somehow glossed over before, but now this is almost always our first stop of the day. Great wines, great people (shoutout Veronica and Shalane), and super welcoming, easygoing vibes. Their sister tasting room at Above The Rush is also 100% worth a stop for some really good small-bites pairings. If you're checking out Murphy's and this place isn't on your list, do yourself a favor and add it. Please, PLEASE stop in here for wine tasting. One of the best wines on the strip and best experiences with the Customer Service of any tasting room we've been to in Murphy's. The wine is exceptional. Due to COVID, this time we didn't get to do the tastings of the Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar-one of my favorite touches that sets them apart from any winery downtown. These wines are amazing!! Absolutely delicious and complex wines. Winery owner gave us our tasting, and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. We went during COVID so our tasting was held at their vineyard under an oak tree, and honestly wouldn't have it any other way! What a relaxing wonderful afternoon. My girlfriend and I booked a reservation here during Covid. Due to their tasting room not being allowed open in Murphy. We got to go directly to their vineyard where they had a nice tasting setup under a big oak tree. The vineyard was hard to find and there was no instruction on their confirmation email about the private gate and thegate code that you have to go through on the way there. That being said, the tasting was great! Their wines are fantastic. Some are easy sipping and other are very complex. Out of all the wineries we visited that day this had to be one or the top places in Murphy based on quality of wine. The owner was an engineer for 30 years in the bay area. I say that because his sales skills were a little awkward and seemed a little desperate for us to buy wine or souvenirs. That being said, the wine speaks for itself and I'm cheering them on to be very successful in the wine business. read more

Not only are their wines exceptional but they have this way about them, you feel like old family friends when you interact with their employees. Favorite winery of the day on our girls trip! Stopped in and had the place to ourselves. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome and even had fun joking with us. They have a lot of white and a lot of red wines to try. There is also a self serve balsamic tasting bar. Between the 5 of us we all found more than one wine we loved and couldn't pass up the sale they were having on a case of wine... we all went in on it. They even let us leave it there and personally delivered it to us at our shuttle stop so we didn't have to carry it. Talk about customer service at it's best!! I will be back! read more
