Beware! My family has been going to this location for 20+ years. Since forefront dermatology purchased this location the patient customer service has been poor. We called to change an appointment due to illness and they wanted to charge us a fee for the change. They refused to change the appointment until they knew how much the fee would be from the manager. We have never experienced any thing like this at a doctors office. We certainly have choices and we will choose to go somewhere else for our dermatology needs in the future. read more

I was a patient of Dr Brodsky for many years and always very impressed with her knowledge, skills and professionalism. The last time I was in the office I saw Dr. Rosen. She performed a freezing procedure I have had many times . This time it was much different. I knew when she did it something was wrong. I developed a very severe burn . I sent a text and called twice. I wasn't allowed to speak with anyone. Left 2 detailed messages for the office manager. That was 3 weeks ago. No one bothered to even return my call much less address my injury. I won't be returning. They love sending texts for reviews but apparently nobody reads or responds the them. read more

I was supposed to have Moh's procedure for skin cancer and they call 2 HOURS BEFORE I was supposed to have it and say technical problems and its cancelled. I scheduled it 4 weeks before and cut a family vacation short because they only do it on Tuesdays. Now it's scheduled for a month from now and ridiculous excuse technical problems. Dr. Borowitz has always been good Dr. for me for a skin check for at least 10 years, but she doesn't do the surgery, so not her fault, but Forefront Dermatology. read more

First of all, Dr. Brodsky, whose photo and message appears at the top of this Yelp page, is no longer with this practice and hasn't been for a while. Our family saw her for years and greatly appreciated her as well as the other staff there. After The Derm was taken over by Forefront Dermatology, which seems to be buying up many practices in the area so I'm guessing is owned/backed by a private equity firm, our experiences took a 180. Rushed visits became the norm and their billing now seems to be almost intentionally confusing, with individual charges from multiple visits intermingled and/or overlapping with later visits, making it difficult to tell when all charges from a visit have been paid. Paying online was also difficult as they had links up to both "The Derm" and "Forefront," and if you paid to one the other didn't know about it. And at least once they billed us and our insurance company simultaneously. Ugh. I hate writing such a negative review, but this has been our experience. read more

The dermatologist put product on my daughter's face that both our pediatrician and another dermatologist told us should not be put on a child's face and made the wart worse. Additionally, when we called to complain about this, we couldn't even get in touch with anyone after reaching out numerous different times. Dr. Bromberg was the most inconsiderate physician I have ever encountered,both has a patient and as an RN for 45 years. Her full body exam was less than 10 minutes. She was more interested in selling her skin products than questioning my history. Her assistant even she'd would not allow herself to be treated by this doctor. Unnecessary follow up appointments were scheduled. I returned once and same experience. Did not return. Her office staff was pleasant but they too pushed skin products. This place is a rip-off. I came in with some planters warts and saw them monthly for a year. They froze them, gave me shots into my foot, etc and still didn't cure them. I was in pain for over a year with them and still didn't have any direction on the removal. I ended up having to go to a podiatrist who was able to fix them in 3 visits. I would highly recommend NOT going here, waste of money. I've called them several times to discuss the charges and they don't even call back to explain. I won't be going there again. I went here for the first time 7 years ago & recently a month ago and I was waiting a long time 45min, doctor was doing everything quickly was trying to push her products and send me on my way. I had a bad skin conditions that needed attention and she prescribed me steroid cream which my allergist was shocked that she would prescribe it. Not only that I had a yearly skin check for my body for moles and anything else and it was fastest I've ever had. Not only that I got a bill from the office and they billed not only myself but the insurance company incorrectly which was a mess and still trying to get them to fix it. Terrible. I won't mention the doctor's name. What happened may not be her fault. The Derm is a corporation. This is what happens under institutionalized health care. I was quoted a price of $225 over the phone to have a few inconsequential skin anomalies removed. These included skin tags, milia and one other minor aberration, the name of which escapes me. During the office visit the doctor reiterated she could remove up to 15 of these anomalies for $225.00. I agreed to this quote. I made the mistake of giving staff my Medicare card. I was ultimately billed another $250.00. I wasn't just uniformed on this visit, I was misinformed. I was also billed for one of the anomalies that allegedly didn't fall under the bespoke 15. This brought the total to between $500-1000 to remove the equivalent of a few skin tags, depending on whether I factor in the insurance discount. The Derm wanted $400.00 for the office visit!!! This brings me to the next problem. The doctor was in a mad rush to get out of there. She literally saw me for 5 minutes. She herself didn't even clip the skin tags, allowing her assistant to do this as she rushed out the door. Folks, this is what we can expect from these corporate health enterprises. Time to speak up. What a shame a group like this stays in business to exploit medical patients. The Derm even had the gall to send me a satisfactions survey. Stay away!! read more

I told the staff including the doctor what i was allergic to. It was written in my chart. I posted a sign on the door. I posted a sign on my stomach with tape. The doctor still used the substance. Nice lady, but she isn't very thorough and didn't seem to have a long-term plan for my care. She knew I needed surgery yet injected me with steroids anyway which slowed down my healing and is something she should have known about as a doctor. Others I've talked to have said the same thing, and I would not go back nor would I recommend her. She also tried to freeze a flat mole, but she never got it right and it kept growing back. I keep having horrible experiences at this office. Jessica Borowicz is a good doctor, but the office staff is terrible. They will treat you different if you are using insurance. I have had numerous encounters with the office staff where they were undeniably rude to me for no reason. I struggle with psoriasis and I require medicine for my condition, it is exhausting contacting the office staff to try to figure out the status of my prescriptions and office visits. They rarely answer their phone even though office hours are clearly listed. When I try to complain that I need to talk to someone immediately they give me attitude and will not call me back for days. I will be taking my business else where, not that they will care because I use insurance lol. read more

TOTAL SCAM!! I had been a patient for several years for check ups every 6 months. They were out of network last year so I had to use someone else. Came back to them this year. Called to set up an appointment for a skin check, self pay. They said $150 dollars for a visit, I got charged $265. They claim 150 was for a "downpayment". They don't offer a service that costs $150 dollars, so why would they start there? I assumed that 8 minutes for a skin check would qualify for the least amount of service they offer. Silly me. For 8 minutes of checking me over. 265 bucks. I wish I could charge $2,000/hr for my services. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!! read more

I have been a patient for almost 15 years and my last visit was my last visit. I waited 50 minutes past my appt time in the waiting room, then another 30 in the exam room before the doc came in. Dr. Brodsky was so rushed she barely did the full skin exam I was there for. While she was examining my back side, I asked her to look at a bump on my skin, she promptly said she could take it off. OUCH, she injected my neck with a needle without letting me know she was doing so. Next thing you know all she wants to do is schedule another appt so we can talk about "skin care"...all this while I am face down unclothed. Feeling so vulnerable and uncomfortable I agreed. She never even had the courtesy to let me dress before having a discussion and she was out the door. Total time in the room including exam, small procedure, getting redressed, checking out and getting to my car: 22 minutes. She wants to sell skin care and keep you coming back for more....that is about it. The bill was INSANE considering what she did. I am disgusted with her and her practice. Shame on them. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My insurance need preauthorization to start medication. So much miscommunication between receptionists that my paperwork was lost and never submitted. Then it was submitted late so I had to start the process all over again. Long story short, bc of this I wasted 8 months. Then they had the nerve to tell me they don't take my insurance any more. I also spent about 600 dollars on glycolic acid peels and still have scarring on my back from them. They are very pushy when it comes to selling. I know it is hard to find a good honest doctor in almost any field. Plus it is very hard to schedule with a dermatologist. But be very careful if you go here. 1st visit $135 - "Hey, we are going to clean this minor rash right up!! I need to take a biopsy even though I already know what it is." $450 Then you need this cream $75 and this prescription $120. 2nd Visit - So it is what I thought it was, but it takes as many years to get rid of it as you have had it. We could do a deep scrape but that is $900. So just stick with the creams and more pills and the rash will be gone within 10 years. You can't make this stuff up. Almost $1,000 and I'm right back at square one. Just criminal. read more

The nurses too. They lost my pictures from years ago when I came in for a full body mole check. This is just not ok. I went to see Dr. Brodsky for an all over skin cancer screening, she did remove a few things that I had addressed with her, but she also pushed her interest in her beauty products onto me for future purchasing. My main concern that brought me into her office was a mole that I didn't think looked correctly. She looked at it and said, " We can keep an eye on it." I was not satisfied with that option and went to get a second opinion from another dermatologist. In the end, the mole did come back as malignant with Stage 1 cancer and I had to have surgery to remove the cancerous cells. I would not recommend her services. read more

Dr. Brodsky is the worst!! I first had to wait 45 minutes for my scheduled appointment. I get that things happen, sometimes, but after talking to several other people who have also used her - this seems to be her "norm." That sounds like just poor time management to me. Upon actually being seen - I realized her bedside manner is not much better than her time management skills. She was very short with me (probably because she was on a time crunch?) and after a quick exam, she informed me there was a spot on my back that needed to be biopsied. Without any warning or further discussion, she whipped out a knife and removed it. I was surprised, to say the least - but luckily the results came back negative. My real disappointment came with the healing of this removal, as I now have a raised, scarred area the size of a quarter on my left shoulder. It looks horrible! I've been to two other derms, since Brodsky and both have commented on the hack job on my back. One doctor suggested cutting it again just to let it heal out evenly! Furthermore - the spot that was removed has since grown back - leading my current dermatologist to believe it wasn't negative to begin with!!! Dr. Brodsky is only concerned about one thing ... pushing her product line. She tried to sell me things the entire time I was in her office - and has since been sending me "spam" mail on a weekly basis. Her poor time management coupled with her rudeness and lack of skill with a knife will keep me from ever returning or recommending her to anyone. read more

Stay far away from this place. I have come here three times. The first time, I came and was prepared for the doctor to recommend all their products. She seemed knowledgeable so I gave her a chance. The people at the front desk are morons. First, they charged me $189 for one office visit saying that is what insurance didn't cover. When I contacted my insurance they said they had no claim filed from the dermatologist. Then, my appointment was mysteriously canceled twice in one week. When I questioned them about it, they asked repeatedly if I was positive I didn't cancel it myself. In short, the doctor is nice and the nurses are nice. But the office staff at the front desk and the incredibly long wait time is not worth it coming here. Three strikes, you're out in my book. read more

Dr. Borowicz is warm, inquisitive and simplistic in her care. It was the perfect formula for me when I saw her for adult acne and my mom for a unrelenting rash. Both of us found her bed side manner to be great and her recommendations to be fair. She doesn't push the office's products as much as her associate which I appreciate as I'm not always looking to shell out a couple hundred dollars. I am selective when choosing a physician, especially if I know that this person is going to be working on my face! I visited Dr. Brodsky in her Glenview office. I was referred by a friend who had recently seen her. Her office staff is so friendly and the office environment is welcoming. I did my homework on Dr. Brodsky and she is well-credentialed. She completed both her medical school and derm training at the University of Chicago--not too shabby. When Dr. Brodsky stepped into my room during my visit, I found her to be warm, and she was able to address all of my concerns in regards to some of the fine lines and wrinkles I was starting to notice on my face. I ended up having both Botox and a newer filler, Sculptra done on my face. I had no bruises following the procedure--unlike the experience my friends have had with some other physicians. The Sculptra and Botox injections were nearly painless, and now I am starting to see the amazing effects from my Sculptra--my friends say I look great but can't figure out why. I'm just thrilled that I was able to turn back the hands of time a bit. I feel like the curious case of Benjamin Button! I am really discrete about whom I tell when getting cosmetic procedures done, but I felt that Dr. Brodsky is the sort of doctor people should know about. read more

I can't recommend this clinic. Went in for a back cyst removal and spent 10 mins with Jessica (the surgeon) for the initial evaluation, where she cleaned up the inflamed cyst a bit (already much subsided previously drained) and applied an antibiotic. Scheduled an appointment for permanent removal for two weeks later and once the cyst has healed. Received an explanation of benefits from my insurance less than week after the first consultation (very impressive speed of billing by the office) and I was on the hook for $370, which I found shocking considering the services rendered. Called the office to find out what I should be expected to pay for the cyst removal procedure itself and they would not give me any kind of an estimate. Considering I am paying $370 for a 10 min appointment, I was left to assume it would be in the thousands. Cancelled the appointment and I am done with this practice. I will go to my general surgeon and perhaps end up with a less delicate incision on my back, but will save hundreds, if not thousands. read more

I have always struggled with ACNE and been to many other dermatologists. However, this place was the best fit for me. Jessica Borowicz is very passionate and very helpful. She actually takes her time with her patients. She asked me a lot of questions such as my daily routines, diet, stress levels etc etc and was very attentive. She wasn't like those other dermatologist who just prescribe Acutane, ( ya, no thanks). She gave me some weaker antibiotics and some face cream and this has been the clearest my face has ever been! I went to the Derm Glenview location a few months ago. The first appointment took about about 15 seconds. I was in and out. I have been having skin issues for years and really wanted to get expert advice on it. Instead I was talked at for about 15 seconds, the doctor left, then the assistant gave me a ton of different medications that I knew nothing about. I came back for a follow up appointment, had another 15 second face to face with the doctor and was literally pushed out the door. As I was leaving I was trying to tell them my prescription expired and needed a refill, but they told me the medicine was probably good for another month and they would give it to me next time. All in all I spent about $200 dollars and still have shitty skin! Very cold, rude, and unwelcoming. Do not go here! read more

dr. Brodsky , you really disappointed me last time I was in. the disport and filler that I had did not work when I went back a month later and told you it was like I was being ignored. I still had lines in my forehead and above my lip and you said it was fine and of course you took my money in December for this sorry I went back in January of this year. and then you got told me I had too pay, so your taking more money when my previous treatment didn't work. I see a problem with that. you don't care I think you care about the money and if you lose a patient you will get more.just horrible you did that too me and I wonder how many more people feel the same way. It has been five-days since I saw Dr. Amy Brodsky. The medication combined with the treatment regimen for my face is working beautifully. So far, so darn good! My face feels like a baby's bottom -- silky and satiny smooth. I am receiving compliments from complete strangers saying "You have beautiful skin." I am very happy with the results that I am seeing in only five freakin' days. I thought it would take longer to notice results, but this has not been the case. Recently, I went shopping at Mariano's and a lady walked up to me and asked, "What do you use on your face, your skin is glowing!" When I got up to the cashier she smiled at me and said, "You have beautiful skin" and I was really surprised to hear these compliments from complete strangers. Thank you for noticing -- I thought -- as I said, "Thanks!" I have also noticed a difference in the feel and texture of my skin. I am very, very happy with the results.
