I'm lucky enough to have this right down the street, but have never really taken advantage besides buying latisse every few months from their store. I recently went to a consultation with Dr. Tamara Fountain to see what she could do about my under eye bags. She told me all i needed was a good med spa and, while she didn't know her personally, she was impressed with Dr. Amy Taub's work. I looked up Dr. Taub and was excited to see she was right in my backyard at Advanced Dermatology. I called to make an appointment and they told me she wasn't seeing new patients for at least the next year. Never deterred I called their other location in Lincolnshire and they fit me in for a consultation later that month. During the consultation I met with Dr. Taub's lovely and very informative assistant and then Dr. Taub herself. They gave a recommendation for filler (which I've always been afraid of, but figured worth a shot) and scheduled me in the Glencoe office for a few weeks later. Apparently she is only in Glencoe on Thursdays, which is why it can be tough to get an appointment there. Appointment day arrived. I was a little scared of the pain, but figured it couldn't be worse than childbirth. Thanks to Dr. Taub and her amazing staff it didn't hurt at all. They also blow cold air on your face during the process, which felt really good after being outside on a very hot day. I left a little sore with very minimal bruising...and could already notice a big difference within 5 minutes. Dr. Taub didn't use all the filler i had purchased because didn't think i needed it and said the under eye area is very sensitive, but scheduled me for a quick follow up next month to see if i needed more. It was a very quick, painless and successful appointment. I was so impressed with Dr. Taub and the entire staff that I plan to go there for other cosmetic dermatology needs in the future. read more

Scheduling is a nightmare and appointments are frequently cancelled by the office up to an hour before their scheduled time due to no provider availability. The receptionists consistently speak with an attitude and a condescending tone. A frustrating customer experience. read more

I cannot recommend that anyone goes to Advanced Dermatology. I have had a series of skin laser procedures in the past and very many of my appointments were cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. They did good work and I was happy with the results but their scheduling is a major problem. If I had to take a guess, I would say somewhere between 70-80% of my appointments were cancelled. To the best of my knowledge, all of the appointments were cancelled with less than 24 hours notice (same as tomorrow's appointment). From what I recall, there was one appointment that was cancelled at 10:00am when the appointment was at 12:00pm (two hours notice of a cancellation from Advanced Dermatology). I made an appointment for a consultation over four weeks ago and my appointment date was supposed to be tomorrow (6/3/2025). I received a call on 6/2/2025 (today) at roughly 7pm to tell me that their employee who was scheduled to do my consultation was going to be out sick. I understand that sometimes people become ill and appointments need to be cancelled but, in my opinion, it happens far too often at Advanced Dermatology. I asked if they would be able to provide any guarantee that my next appointment would not be cancelled and they could not. I simply cannot trust that they will keep their appointments and, for that reason, I can never do business with Advanced Dermatology again. read more

Had a hydrafacial deluxe facial with sally and let's just say she has "feather fingers"! It was so nice and relaxing, i'll definitely be going back for my next facial! It was an overall experience! Right when you walk in you are greated and welcomed by the front desk. Check in process was a breeze. Sally did such a fabulous job explaining my skin, what products I should use, and how my skin would benefit from this treatment. Going into winter, my skin gets so dry and BOY did it HYDRATE it! Over all a great experience, I'll definitely be coming back to Advanced Dermatology! read more

Advanced Dermatology - One word..... AMAZING!!!! - Dermatologists Near Me - Lincolnshire, Illinois

I went for a skin check and they found a pre-cancerous cell. They removed it and the incision didn't heal for almost 10 weeks. I had to keep following up with them bc it looked infected. they gave me antibiotics and a gel to put on and after 8 weeks of regular texting communication and sending in pictures of the wound it didn't close. I had to tell them I wanted an appointment to follow up in person. I went and the doc told me it would take 3 more months to close and heal. I got a second opinion at a wound care clinic. The wound care specialist told me to stop using the gel the dermatologist gave me bc it was part of the reason the wound wouldn't heal. he switched me to a $3 over the counter gel and in 1.5 weeks my wound closed. In addition to having a huge scar across my thigh from advanced derms procedure, seeing the specialist for a second opinion cost me over $500 in follow up appointments. While the staff at advanced derm is extremely friendly and facility clean I can't recommend using them for skin checks or removal. read more

Dr Kaniszewska is the best dermatologist in the Western Hemisphere! I would never want a different dermatologist and to be honest I would be devastated if she ever left Advanced Dermatology. Dr K has caught numerous problems including melanoma, carcinoma along with several dysplatic nevi. Dr K has that ultra rare combination of brains, passion and a great personality that make dermatology visits something I look forward to which is a far cry from my past history with dermatologists. Dr K makes dermatology visits anxiety free and I never feel awkward or embarrassed due to her efforts and I have to see her every 3 months due to my history of skin problems. I have been getting diamondglo facials every 4 weeks with brilliant esthetician Alla that leave my face looking and feeling silky and smooth. Alla does a magnificent job of giving you a relaxing facial massage followed by the diamondglo treatment and a hot towel with moisturizers. My skin has never looked better thanks to her skill and effort. Advanced Dermatology is clean and the staff is all friendly and helpful. If you dislike dermatology visits as much as I used to please do your health a favor and go see Dr Kaniszewska. read more

Recently gotten the Kybella treatment for my stubborn double chin. The overall process was great! Steve and his team were AMAZING and really patient with me. I was super nervous and scared of the pain/swelling after the treatment, however Steve and his team made sure to explain everything throughly and answered any questions I had during the treatment. I've healed up now and the fat on my chin has really decreased. I was already made aware I may need more than one treatment and I definitely know I'll be scheduling with Steve again! read more

I have been getting Diamond Glow facials from Emily at the Glencoe location for many years and LOVE her! She is by far the best esthetician and so gentle and thorough. She really understands the needs of each patient and is a pleasure to talk to . I have not been able to come in as often as I'd like because Emily is only doing facials at this location 1 day a week and spending some of her time selling products in the Skinfo salon. To me, this is a huge waste of her talents and I am quite sure she would be more beneficial to the office concentrating her talents on the patients in an esthetician role. 5 stars for Emily! You guys gotta get your scheduling figured OUT. Multiple times I have scheduled appointments and when I arrive for that appointment time, they tell me I'm not on the schedule and that they accidentally scheduled me for a different day and time. It's unacceptable to make a patient drive a long time to the office and be turned away because of scheduling errors. Of course this happening once isn't a big deal, but multiple other family members who go here also deal with the same thing. read more

That place is a scam! The amount they changed me for the simplest procedure like small mold removal is outrageous. And, the dr I saw, Monika Kaniszewska, was unable to make it right, because after three weeks it is growing back. The customer support is below all expectations - the billing person just dropped the call when I was trying to discussed the unexpected changes. Unfortunately, they force you to provide your credit card information in writing prior to visit, they store it and able to charge you whenever they want. So I would highly recommend you to find another place when you need to go. I would never come to that place again. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Taub for 9 years. Pros: knowledgeable treatment, no long waits. Con: She refused to see me for a cancer check appointment, because I wouldn't comply with their office "policy" of having my credit card on file. I object to giving any business my credit card info, except to pay a bill at the time services are rendered. The reason is if they have a data breach, I don't want my credit card compromised. I have excellent credit and Dr. Taub has never had to chase after me for payment. Yet she blew me off, under the silly rationale of "If I make an exception for you, I have to do so for everyone." Not my problem. Just because you create a new policy (maybe because of a difficult patient), it doesn't mean I should be treated like a deadbeat! I pay by check, so my credit card never comes into play, anyway. Since I was there for a cancer check, her refusal to honor the appointment exalted office policy over patient care. Now I have to find another dermatologist and make an appointment, plus transfer my records. I probably don't have a ticking melanoma time bomb, but what if I did? Turning a patient away because he doesn't put his credit card on file is inexcusable, unless said patient has a history of bill payment avoidance It was certainly poor judgment on her part to ruin a 9 year relationship, over her random requirement. So she gets 1 star for this debacle, but 5 stars for otherwise good medical treatment, which comes out to my 3 star rating. read more

I love Advanced Dermatology! I was dealing with adult acne and all the other dermatologists I've seen in the past kept putting me on antibiotics but it never did anything. After starting a new job in Deerfield in 2018, I was determined to find a new dermatologist nearby. After a quick google search, I came across Advanced Dermatology and was told to see Dr. Kaniszewska. She.is.AMAZING. She is incredibly kind and patient. She actually listened to my concerns and wanted to tackle the issue at hand. I still see Dr. K to this day and am forever grateful for her and the team at Advanced Dermatology. I absolutely adore my doctors, estheticians, and all of the providers that I have seen at Advanced Dermatology! Specifically in Glencoe, as that is where I go the most. Dr. Lager is lovely and Emily who does my facials is truly incredible. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Rachel, and she is way too aggressive and rough on my face during the facials and seems in a rush to get me out of there. It was awful. Additionally, some of the front desk staff that I have come in contact with are SO rude. There are definitely very nice ones, but recently they are unfriendly, not accommodating, and just plain rude and have a nasty attitude. read more

Very unhappy! Went in to have a spider vein treated via a laser and it looks just as bad or worse than when I had the treatment. I picked Dr. Taubs because she was supposed to be the best. Now she is out for 2 months and if I want to get another treatment that might not work, it's another $400 with a less experienced doctor. Not a good option! read more

I've always been really self conscious about my double chin. Its been there no matter how much or how little I've weighed over the years. Such a beautiful doctors office! Going to the doctor is usually something most people dread. We don't even want to go, so it makes it worse when the doctors office is old, dark, outdated, and smelly. Well, you may actually enjoy going to the doctor if it's Advanced Dermatology. This is a beautiful office. It feels brand new inside. The waiting room is very large, with a selection of different seating, all seemed very comfortable.....I tested several of the different seating options they had. They seem to have a lot different doctors in this practice, so you may see a different doctor than the one I saw. That said I won't mention my doctor, but she was very nice and the appointment was quick and painless. If you need a skin checkup, I highly recommend visiting this office. read more

They submitted my prescription to the wrong department at my insurance company and it took over a week to figure out what was wrong. I should note here that we've had the same insurance for years and have never, ever had a problem getting prescriptions filled. Ever. I finally had to conference call in both offices to get to the bottom of it. They finally submitted it correctly, another week went by and I heard nothing. I called insurance and they said they had denied the request almost immediately because the medication wasn't FDA approved for my issue and had sent notification to Advanced Dermatology almost a week ago. When I called Advanced Dermatology they at first just wanted to take a message, then said they didn't know why no one contacted me regarding the denial they had received, so I just cancelled my next appointment and will be looking for a new dermatologist. read more

Was a new patient today when I went to their office very intimidating office very unfriendly staff they told me that I have to put a credit card on file and I said I am not going to do that I don't feel comfortable doing that after the insurance pays I'll be glad to call in with a credit card payment and they said well we just can't see you then that's not a way to run an office. I asked Office manager to talk to the doctor and they would not do that and the office manager said that's our policy so we cannot see you. Very disappointing and I would never go back there and I would never refer anyone there.That is unacceptable and not ethical to ask for a credit card To keep on file. I had Fraxel on my face/chest/hands done. The numbing cream did not work so they gave me 20+ syringe pokes, on face only, with another numbing solution, that did not help much. It was so painful. This practice is very persistent with making sure you book your yearly appointment. For the first time I had to have some surgery to get something removed. I followed directions to arrive early prior to my appointment and I waited almost one hour after my scheduled time for them to call me back. Today I had to have the stitches removed and again waited 15 minutes pass my appointment. I watched the staff enjoying cake and walking the halls conversing and visiting instead of attending to patients like me in the waiting room. I approached the desk with my frustration and asked why I was still waiting. Once I was called back the nurse tells me that they have a lot of patients. I told her they shouldn't make appointments if they can't keep the appointments. After she removed the stitches she and an intern realized they didn't have the supplies that were needed. What a shock. I will be looking for a reputable doctor and practice in the future. Stay away. Also the fees are ridiculously expensive. read more

I've been coming to Advanced Dermatology for a few years for my annual skin checks and each visit has been with PA-C Emily Oehler. She has the best personality - super funny and relaxed. I've had growths removed on the same day Emily finds them, even if it is a longer procedure (for example, if I need stitches). I used to go to a different dermatologist years ago, and if I needed a procedure involving stitches, I would have to make an appointment for another day. I was expecting the same protocol at Advanced Dermatology, but nope, they are ready for anything during my skin checks. Also, the Lincolnshire office is beautiful. I love their extended hours because it allows me to make it after work on weekdays. However, I don't feel as if I'm getting the best treatment. I've seen two people, a PA and a Dr. The dr came in, took half a second to look at my psoriasis, and told the assistant to continue with my regular prescription. When I told her it wasn't working, she just threw out another medication, without explaining why or what this does and walked out. I love them for their convenience, but I really wish they'd step up their level of care. read more

4 months later and I am extremely happy with the results of the photorejuvination treatment. After 2 treatments, Emily suggested a SilkPeel (which is now called DermalInfusion) to help with some acne. I wish I took photos of how beautiful my skin looked afterward but will post them the next time I have that service. The treatments I received gave me exactly what I was hoping for; an overall reduction of redness, reduction of broken capillaries, a reduction of freckle clusters (while maintaining freckles), texture improvement, and a radiant glow. read more

My family and I have been long time patients. I like the doctors and clinical personnel but I grew progressively unhappy with the customer service which became very impersonal after office expansion (noone picking up the phone for an entire day of calling multiple times, no common sense approach from the staff that handles cancellations/rescheduling, and no interest in retaining the family who have been spending significant money here on medical/cosmetic treatments, and often prepaying for it).
