I understand doctors need to see proof of insurance, but she didn't at the very least even have the professionalism or decency to come out and speak to me about it, rather had the front desk shun me even though I was visibly tearful and stressed since I spent the time driving all the way out looking forward with getting help with my acne. She has an aggressive nurse who has been incredibly rude and has an arbitrary policy for late arrivals - I can't tell if it's 5 minutes or 10, but I've been in both scenarios and there is no grace period in her mind for a downtown office. When I disputed the charges, the office claimed I "should have known" from a past visit more than a year earlier -- even though they never disclosed this at the time of the current appointment. The result? A bill hundreds of dollars higher than expected for a basic procedure, plus pressure to schedule unnecessary follow-up visits. Patients deserve transparency about costs and insurance coverage before treatment. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about how your visit will be billed, who the "billing provider" will be, and whether that provider is in-network -- or consider going elsewhere.

I was unable to get the office to respond in a timeley manner. My first call Monday morning, the phone line had issues and the message was to try back later. In the meantime I contacted my pcp (over the weekend it had worsend) sent her pictures and she prescribed an abx and advised me to call the office. In the afternoon I contacted the office and they advised me to send over photo as well. It took the office till the next day to forward my photo. That afternoon i get a call from the office saying looks like it could be infected , continue the abx and call us if it gets worse. Well the first call was made yesterday and yes it is worse. They again would get back with me, no return call. So i had to go to the store and the more i thought about it, I decided to pop into the office and ask" is there a someone that could look at this, (4:06 pm) Is this healing properly.: Response - were closed no one is here, but you need to have that looked at, they are here tomorrow. I asked if she could make me an appointment and she said no. She advised me to just show up tomorrow.. Needless to say , 3rd day, have yet to recieve a call to advise on the situation;.if the abx the pcp prescribed, amount and dosage would be correct and or if they wanted to see me. But we found out today their policy has changed, only the patient can go in the room. But, because of something my husband found concerning on my leg , my husband wanted to go into the room with me and he was told no. I asked David about it, he said he stood by this, and they "run more efficiently" when only the patient is in the room". What does that mean ? It might cost you a minute or two, and time is money? I don't think his dad would have disallowed a concerned spouse of 35 years to accompany me. What a shame. We will find a new doctor.

I left the last two Cincinnati Doctors because of poor screening with the first and poor billing practices with the second. I met with Dr. Brown for the first time in October of 2022. The nurse (her name escapes me) was professional and administered local anesthetic virtually painlessly. Dr. Brown seemed professional, and compassionate. She completed a full body check, froze some sites and took one biopsy. The administrative staff I have spoken with and met are pleasant and professional.
