We bought two tickets for my daughters to go to Tijuana Mexico and these individuals left my 18 and 16 year old daughters in the border without any supervision whatsoever family members expecting my daughters in Tijuana and everybody gets off the bus, but my daughters are nowhere to be found. When confronted at the office in Mexico they pretty much said we don't know what to tell you. What do you want us to do? They kicked them out of the office and locked the doors. Lady (older Hispanic there at mid day refused to give me her name at 12ish on Nov 28) at the window that's selling tickets is rude! She was upset someone else helped me on the phone and gave me different info and saved me a ticket. I was simply trying to buy a ticket and she made it difficult and didn't know to everything I asked. She kept saying she didn't know anytime I asked something. I have no idea why they'd have a such a person doing customer service. If it weren't because I need to go out of town I'd have left. Bullshit policies! My 16 yr old sister came to visit me from California with no issues. Got on the bus without any questions in age, ID, or any problems. When I went to buy her a ticket back the weekend before she started school again, all of a sudden she can't travel alone. I was told she needed a notarized letter from her legal guardian in California to buy a ticket!! WTF? So, now she's basically stranded here with my options being to drive to California myself or fly her out to make it in time for school! Cheap tickets. Very dirty building on the inside on the bad side of town. The girls at the front desk were ok but their website is shady and didn't get a real printed ticket. Watch the rude guys handling the luggage weighing, super nasty, sexist and rude for no reason. Not only that they charge $1 for every pound over 80, but they also inflate the overage weight to charge more. The supervisor was useless when approached about their weighing. Cheap and good enough. I was flying from NY to Vegas for a job interview with Zappos. There was a transfer in LA. But the flight from LA to Vegas was cancelled. I, along with many others, desperately needed to get to LA but couldn't find a flight. So a group of us found this bus and took it to Vegas. Since then I've taken it 20 times or so back and forth between LA and Vegas to visit my girlfriend. I've also taken Megabus a bunch of time from NY to Pittsburgh and back throughout college, so I have that as something to compare Tufesa to. The Bad ============ There are certainly some things to be unhappy with: - The bus is often late/delayed, but not too bad. - The wifi hardly ever works. - The outlets hardly ever work. - The stops in LA are in South Central, which is a dangerous area. - The people riding the bus are sometimes shady. - Not the most organized. My third time taking the bus was from Vegas to LA the night of Superbowl Sunday. A bunch of us were talking before the bus got to the stop. A lot of them had just lost a lot of money, and were sad. I ended up paying for one guys ticket. That night, there was someone who tried to force his way on the bus with an old ticket or something. The driver claimed he was shoved. We were stuck for 2 hours waiting for the police to arrive and deal with it. I've seen a couple other similar arguments with the driver in my experience taking Tufesa. It's often desperate people. The Good ============== I've never seen passengers get into it with each other. It's usually quiet, granted I often end up taking it at night. Even during the day it's usually quiet. And it's usually not too filled! A fantastic thing - I usually get two seats to myself. These things weren't true on the Megabus between NY and Pittsburgh. It was usually full with kids going to/from college so I rarely ever got two seats to myself. And they were more talkative. I also recall Megabus being late notably more often than Tufesa. The best part is the price! If you book ahead, you could definitely get a ticket for $5-10. If not, I've taken spur of the moment trips a handful of times and you could get a ticket same day. Overall =============== At the end of the day, it's a cheap bus ticket and you do get what you pay for. But in my experience I often get my own seat, they're reasonably good with being on time, and the bad stuff has never been too big a deal. So if you want a cheap bus ticket that is solid, I think Tufesa is a good option. read more

Today I was at the Las Vegas location for a bus departure of 10:30AM. I arrived at the specified location at 10:34. When I went inside to ask about the bus, the clerk told me it had left. I was four minutes late and I did not see any bus departing as I was pulling up. Which leads me to believe it left more than a minute ago; 10:32. How can a transportation company not even give patrons a decent five minute grace period before departure. Also on the bus ride from Phoenix to Las Vegas, it left 30 minutes late. No stars! Absolutely rude rude people!!! I went into the agency to buy my tickets after 3 failed attempts on their website. My card kept getting declined!!! So I tried my husband's....same problem. I asked the girl for the bus tickets on WEDNESDAY the 14th...I even specified the date....I told her the latest run on WWEDNESDAY THE 14TH!!! She asked me to initial the tickets to make sure the names of all my kids(4) and mine were correct. So I did. And I left the station. I arrive 20 mins early on the 14th. I waited patiently in line for 20 mins because they only have one cashier and rude ass people just cutting in line. All I wanted was to verify the bus number and time had not changed. And then....the cashier told me the tickets had expired the day before...wtf!!! I guess I got tickets printed put for TUESDAY THE 13TH not the 14th like I specified. I think I almost lost it!!! I asked her what I could do and her freaking response was nothing, to buy new tickets!!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!! She said it was my fault because I had initialed the tickets staying that was the correct time and date. I tried to explain but they don't give a rat's ass about you or how you could be potentially stranded with your kids. All they care about is their agenda, not customer service, but what they can short change you with. Oh and she didn't want to validate my 13 and 15 yr olds student discount because they didn't have a school is with them, even though we had gotten it before but we're left on the bus before but when we complained...they were no where to be found. I had a great trip on October 22, 2017! Scheduled to leave Las Vegas at 10:15 PM, bus rolled in 5 minutes earlier. The driver was very professional as he handled a couple of customer challenges which arose at the pickup area, then we were on our way. Two hours into the trip I passed out and awoke, an hour later, at a rest stop . Fell back asleep and an hour and forty five minutes later I was in downtown L.A., 15 minutes ahead of schedule. The only downside was being dropped off in a sketchy area. Downtown L.A. is loaded with homeless people at 2:45am. I didn't have any problems, as I stood there alone with my suitcase waiting for my Uber, but you might want to keep that in mind. read more

THE WORST! Never EVER travel with these assholes. I got to the address shown in my ticket (bought online) and there was nothing there! I called 3 times to the phone in my ticket, no one answered. I'm not local and the Uber had no clue and no time to wait for me to troubleshoot so he left me stranded in a gas station with 10% battery in a city totally foreign to me. I found another phone online and the ladies who answered were totally incompetent, just telling me they changed address months ago and there was nothing they could do since the bus had just left. how is that my problem? And how was I supposed to know? i am beyond pissed and stressed out, this was the last thing I needed after delayed and cancelled flights all day. My first bus traveling experience was great with this company because the lady who had taken me from Phoenix to Las Vegas and back was very sweet and kind to me. She knew where I wanted to be picked up and dropped off which was great. I told the people at the ticket counter the first time they asked and the driver knew because they have a list of where people want to be picked up and dropped off. My second experience recently was good going to phoenix but on the way back the driver was so mean! He made me pay him $5 to be dropped off at Excalibur which was what I had told the ticket people the second time when I made my purchase. I called in and they accept phone orders with a valid credit card, and I was quoted $90 for a round trip at a student rate from Las Vegas to San Ysidro since I was going to TJ for my brothers birthday! Upon picking up your ticket, its easy at the ticket booth and you wait 10 minutes until your departure to start boarding. The downside is that the bus goes to the strip and boards additional passengers, so you have to be patient as suppose to going directly from Tufesa to your destination. The one of the best perks are the Wi-Fi on the bus! read more

You have to keep in mind that these are cheap buses. So don't expect 5 star buses with outlets, WiFi and other fancy stuff. These buses get from where you need to go and do it so nicely. They usually stop for restroom/snack breaks at gas stations along your destination. Having traveled on these buses several times, they aren't as bad as the other reviews say they are. First off My mother came to visit from Mexico and she bought her ticket in Tijuana, I spoke to the lady who sold her the ticket myself and asked if it was a direct bus from Tijuana to Las Vegas and she said yes so my mom bought the ticket. I get a call from my mom about 4 hours later saying they stopped at San Ysidro. She said she told an employee there she was told there was no stops and direct to Vegas the guy said no he's not sure why they told her that, this was the only reason she bought from this place. She ended up getting here at midnight because of that stop that was made which was an inconvenience as I had just gotten out of the hospital that day. Second when we dropped her off to go back home the man that I'm assuming was the bus driver was pretty rude. We left to drop her off with 30 minutes to spare however it was raining really hard I had my 2 yr old and my newborn in the car it was almost 10pm so a 15 minute drive turned to about a 20 minute drive. When we got there I walked in and the driver seemed to have been in there talking with his coworkers. One employee came and went to put my moms bag in the bus, he seemed nice and wasn't bothered doing his job. Then the driver came walking behind my mom and told her she needs to get there earlier next time. It wasn't even 10pm yet which was the time the bus was scheduled to leave and when we got there he was inside talking. I'd understand if they were about to leave or if when I called to confirm her ticket we were told to show up a certain amount of time before but that wasn't the case. Poor customer service and communication: I'm on the bus bound to San Diego from Las Vegas and nothing was communicated to me about whether the bus has arrived or not. It happened on my bus ride to Vegas as well. I had to call the business to ask if the bus driver was here or not. I was waiting at the tour bus drop off lobby turnaround which they said they will be at, but the bus was not there. I called and they asked me to look for a blonde lady in charge of registering passengers but I could not find her at all. After waiting for a long while, the company called me and asked if I am on the bus yet or not and I told her I cannot find the bus. She then told me that "I should call them" if I couldn't find the bus (in a way that insinuates that it was my fault), which I did, but they never said where exactly it is at. Luckily the bus driver walked to the drop off area and found me talking on the phone to the lady over the phone. Apparently the bus was parked at the back of the hotel away from the drop off place as described. I don't think they should expect customers to walk that far away from what was written on the email to look for the bus carrying luggages. Other passengers faced the same issues and we waited until 9:20 before the bus can leave, when the bus was suppose to be here at 8:40 and leave shortly after. Same bad customer service/ communication regardless which branch of office I called. But at least the bus this time was more sanitary (not infested with mosquitoes and better toilets stocked with toilet paper BUT STILL NO SANITIZER - SO UNHYGIENIC) than the bus that I took to get to Vegas. I had a round trip from Las Vegas to Tijuana. The driver was very friendly and helpful, I was traveling alone with a 3 month old in a carseat. He mentioned with babies it is safer to sit in the middle or the back of the bus. The passengers also are very nice and understanding when my 3 month old would cry because of colic pains. The bus was on time, very professional, clean. The people who check you in even make sure all passengers are on board, even give a a call if you haven't arrived yet. I am hoping to plan more trips and would defenetly use this bus again, although it is a little more pricey than I thought I would pay the amount again without thinking twice. We had a reservation with them but they changed the pick up place and nobody came to tell us, so we were waiting there for an hour calling them all the time and they didn't pick up the phone. After one hour they finally answered and said that the bus had already gone to its destination and that they were taking NO responsibility, so we were stuck in a city with nowhere to stay for the night and they offered no other alternatives but to wait until the next day and pick another bus!!! And beyond this they were truly rude on the phone and hanged up the phone for three times. Never use this bus service!!!! No aparecieron!!! Tufesa I use to love taking my Utah h trips on their buses instead of driving. But lately since they started hiring all this useless teenagers as customer service they're services have gone from 5 stars to 0. I usually use Tufesa one a month for me or my daughter this morning I had a very unpleasant encounter with Veronica supervisor at Las Vegas location I need it to speak to someone else that really new where the bus was at because it did not make it to Salt Lake City on time. I had spoke to 3 other people that had no clue about the bus schedule either i was worry sick about my daughter and what made it worse was speaking to Veronica Tufesa please... please.. pay a little more but get good employees with customer service and not pay cheap wages and get ignorant teens as Veronica for your customer service at the end it will cost you more because you are losing customer. customer service staff sucks! read more
