We called around 3:30 to get my boyfriend's phone fixed. Everything was good, they told us they…read morecould do it and quoted us a reasonable price. We asked when they closed; they told us 6:00. We told them we were heading their way. We arrived a little before 4:00 (2 hours before they said they would be closing) only to find the store locked and appearing closed for the day. The hours on the door reflected what they told us on the phone. I understand businesses change their hours... but why tell us you close at 6 if you planned to not even be there at 4? Especially when we told them we were on our way. Even if they were closing early today only....they could have mentioned that when we said we're on our way. We tried calling when we got there and they didn't answer the phones. This was very unprofessional. We took our business elsewhere (and are extremely happy with the other place). The price was slightly higher than this place quoted us, but based on their unprofessionalism I'm really glad we didn't get the phone fixed here. No telling what the quality would have been. Needless to say, we won't be trying this place again. Ever.

They ordered the battery and when it arrived, I left the phone for battery installation. When I went in to pick up my phone they advised me it wouldn't charge. It was charging and operating fine when I left it. BOTTOM LINE - they broke my phone and couldn't fix the damage they did. They charged me $119.00 to break my phone. Their technician had originally assured me he could replace my battery and everything would be fine. Based on my experience I give them one star because 0 (zero) star is not offered. A truly disappointing experience with Device Medic.

I strongly recommend taking your device somewhere else. Anthony Clark is a habitual liar. I don't…read morehave money to waste to buy another $700 plus laptop, considering I'm a college student. About 2-3 weeks before this most recent ordeal, I brought my laptop to this shop with a replacement charging port that I had already purchased. I had opened the laptop myself because I was attempting to figure out the problem. He told me he was "impressed" that I had opened it myself and said that if I stayed, I wouldn't have to pay because he was apparently training me. That was also the day he made sexual jokes and inappropriate sexual innuendos while I was there with my 12-year-old niece. I found that extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable, especially with a child present. Looking back, I should have taken that as a sign not to do business with him again. As for the repair, instead of replacing the broken charging port with the replacement part I had provided, he simply used the soldering tool on the already broken port. Obviously, that didn't fix the problem. I ended up returning about two weeks later because my laptop was still not repaired. I dropped my laptop off Monday August 24th and was initially told it would be ready Tuesday. Then Tuesday became Wednesday. Wednesday became Thursday. The dates continued to change, and at one point I went to the shop and found that my motherboard had been removed from the laptop, yet the repair still had not been completed. When I questioned what happened to the promised completion date, I was met with a nasty attitude and the phone was hung up on me. Eventually, I asked that my laptop be fully repaired and ready by Monday. Instead, I was told that he would not be completing the repair and that I could pick up my laptop. He also accused me of calling him the hard-R. I did not call him that. I told him directly that I did not say it, and I have the text messages documenting our conversation. Then things got even more ridiculous. My dad went to the shop Tuesday to get my laptop and was told it would be ready Wednesday. Wednesday came and he called, and of course, NO ANSWER. My dad went back to the shop Thursday morning, and the door would not even be opened for him. There was also an issue with who was answering the phone. When my dad called, someone else answered and told him that he wasn't there. However, when my niece called shortly afterward saying that she needed her phone repaired, he was suddenly there and available. Given everything that had already happened, this was extremely frustrating and made it even harder to get a straightforward answer about when I could retrieve my laptop. We went to the shop to get my laptop, and it STILL was not repaired. I was eventually able to get my laptop back, but I was told to leave the shop after he talked very condescendingly towards me. And, of course, I was not given a refund for the $85 I paid for a repair that was never completed. My dad had to get involved because I had been unable to get my own property back. He was considering taking this to small claims court, which is something I really wanted to avoid because I know it can become a long and unnecessary process. I don't want a court case or more drama. I simply want my $85 repair fee refunded. The laptop itself is worth $700+, so I was obviously not comfortable with it being held indefinitely while my calls were ignored and attempts to retrieve it were unsuccessful. I initially chose not to leave a review because I wanted to give him the opportunity to finish the repair and simply get my laptop back. After everything that has happened, I feel other customers deserve to know about my experience. I regret bringing my laptop here and will never do business with Clark Electronics again!
