Arlington Coin & Watchworks is my go to place for watch repair and battery replacement. Courteous…read moreservice and efficient resolution of issues for my watch collection. While it is not my emphasis, I do note that they also appear service a rather vibrant coin collecting community as well. And also do appear to deal in antiques and collectibles to an extent. As previously stated, watches are my focus, but if these things are of interest to you. It might be a place to check out. Ample parking is available in the spacious lot of this point strip mall. There are several restaurants nearby if you're looking to get a bite to eat while making your visit here. It is also very near the Upper Arlington library.

I usually don't leave negative reviews every time something doesn't go my way, but this experience…read morewas bad enough that I feel people should know. I brought in a brand new watch just to have the band adjusted, which is a very simple job and supposedly took only a few minutes. However, when I checked the watch and tried to put it on, the size was correct but the clasp no longer closed properly something that worked perfectly before the adjustment. I came back to the store today, politely and without blaming anyone, just to explain what happened. The response I got was completely unacceptable. The person (owner) didn't even bother to get up from his chair to look at the watch and instead yelled from where he was sitting that I should buy another one because that watch is fake. I calmly explained that I wasn't accusing anyone and that the watch was working perfectly before the adjustment. His response was to repeat, in the same rude tone, that the watch was fake and that I should buy another one. Extremely unprofessional and very disrespectful customer service. I have no idea what kind of people they hire here, but I will never come back not even if it were free and I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. If you value your money, your time, and basic respect, take your watch somewhere else.

After purchasing my original engagement ring at this Easton location I was highly impressed…read more Unforunately my ring was lost during multiple hospital stays in December. I had insurance so I filed a claim & they directed me to return to Diamond Cellar to pick out a replacement ring. Immediately it was not a pleasant experience. The receptionist never placed me in que despite being the 3rd person in the door after they opened at 10am. I sat annoyed for over 30 mins before approaching her again and asked if I should just make an appt. She said no there was a mix up. I wish I would've just left then. So much happened in between then and now but on 4/25 I called asked if I could speak to a manager because after placing my replacement order they have continued to try to mark the price up despite everything being written up properly & me having both the receipts for the stone as well as the setting. I originally called 3.5 hrs before closing and the receptionist told me if the female manager felt it was important she would return my call. I called back 25 mins before they closed again asking to speak to the manager. She then informed me the manager would call me back closer to closing time. I said do you not close in 25 mins? She said yes then abruptly ended the phone call that ended with "bye". At this point I'm going to try to reach someone af the corporate office because the way they are behaving like a used car sales lot is appalling. I refuse to pay a penny more than the agreed upon price that is on all my order receipts I was given when I placed the order on 2/21. They have flat out lied twice now about why the cost is changing. Avoid at all cost, even if you've had spectacular experience there in the past. I would much rather have them refund my insurance company the money that was wired to them for the replacement and take my business elsewhere and be treated as a valued customer.

Don't be put off by the building that looks like it's under construction. Park in one of the lots nearby, carefully walk along the front of the building. Well kept secrets are sometimes much too well kept. This place is one of them…read more This is a store for professional jewelers. We're talking about the real deal here. The things they sell are helpful to more than professional jewelers. My father, for example, is a botanist who studies mosses. He buys all of his hand lenses here (and then proceeds to wear them around his neck and continually get asked why he's wearing a whistle.) I like them for their beading cord and tool quality. This is the kind of place that is trying to keep itself a secret. THERE IS NO SIGN. Let me repeat that. THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN. They also keep their door locked a lot of the time, so you knock and look somewhat respectable and they let you in. (The store is located right next to the plasma donation place, and they apparently get some interesting characters in.) If you're an artist or a beader or a botanist/entomologist/etc. I highly suggest dropping in sometime. It will be worth your while.

I called them because it said here in a previous review that they do watch repair. It turns out they don't actually do watch repair, they only sell the parts. When I asked if they could recommend a repair person she asked who I was. When I told her my name she told me to just go to my local jeweler...which I'm pretty sure I could have figured out on my own, except I didn't want to do that. Well she refused to tell me of any local shops that work on watches. This must be the only business in Columbus that has more business than they know what to do with--as they sure don't seem very welcoming to new potential business.
