My new fave karaoke spot in the East Bay. They have karaoke every Wednesday and every time I've gone so far, it draws a diverse crowd, talented singers, and everyone is so welcoming. There's definitely a sense of community here. Bartender is always patient with me and greets me with a smile and the cocktails are strong. Note to self: will have to stick with one drink in the future. I love everything about this place!

I've had nothing but positive experiences here. The newly added Speakeasy (Paradise Lounge) offers a slightly more intimate/upscale venue. We arrived on a Friday evening. Had drinks and appetizers upstairs. Pours were generous. Happy hour menu is commendable. Try the Margarita or Moscow Mule for a way to kick start your occasion. DJ began spinning around 8PM at the speakeasy. People began trickling in as the night progressed. Pool tables available for added fun! There's a dining area in the speakeasy that appears to be available for private events like birthday parties. One thing to note is the heavy amount of security staff. They were mostly friendly throughout our visit. That's a huge plus. Anything I've ever tried on their food menu has been great. Food orders are taken at a kiosk near the rear.

Always a good time at the Dirty Bird, I'm almost 40 and I've been coming here since I was in college, still checks out. These days I may meet a date or friend for a weeknight night cap and wings and this place is just my speed. There's always parking, the drinks are stiff and affordable. The atmosphere is awesome, especially warm nights on the patio. Wings are bomb. You can't go wrong with the wings.

I'll keep this simple, this place is good vibes, good music, and solid food. This place has everything you would want in a club/bar. Definitely a Hayward staple. R&B, hip hop, and rap is the primary music being played which I love and they spice it up with reggaeton and reggae

Súperrrrr good vibes at this place. The inside is very nice, clean, and full of comfy seating. Happy hour from 2pm-7pm is crazy and I'm here for it, plus actually good happy hour deals. They had some small bite options but I needed a bigger dinner, will be back again tho!

The last time I was here was YEARS ago and had fond memories of being here It's now 2025 We literally came here to decompress and have some drinks Venue is clean and well decorated Bar is fully stocked You order food from a different window not at the bar Parking is street parking only Drinks are ok My margarita was super sour so I ordered a shot to calm it down Vibe is chill

Customer service, vibe and drinks were outstanding. Me n' some friends decided to come through after coming from the show to see Sinners. The place was quiet enough inside at 5:30p on a Sunday, for us to actually hear each other as we conversed. We caught a very timely Happy Hour, the food was delicious and plentiful and the drinks were so on point! Also want to give high elevation to Jose(?), one of the owners of the cantina inside of TDB. We wasted our drinks, not once ... not twice ... but 3 times ... and each team he made sure that we were comped a replacement drink . He did this each time with a smile and seemed solely focused on our just having a good time! Thank you Jose/TDB ... we did ... and because of your superior customer service... we'll be coming back again ... and again!

I enjoyed the experience as always when I visit dirty bird. But overall; I liked that the birria tacos were seasoned very well, and the food was very quick. In most cases the service here is very good. I will say the ambiance matches the food likewise. I have been visiting this lounge for a long time now, wonderful drinks and wonderful food. I also liked that I was not charged for consumé and salsa ;)

We had parked in a parking lot and heard music, so we followed the music, and were delightfully surprised to find The Dirty Bird Lounge. The security guys invited us in, they explained there was a DJ in the back patio, and Bachata dancers. We were welcomed to come in. Lovely outdoor patio. We headed inside to order our drinks happy hour. $16 bucks for two Margaritas, our waitress made incredible drinks, and was very delightful to talk to. The inside has plenty of seating, and rustic funky decor. There is street parking and a parking lot on the side to the back. They had TVs on with the Giants and the 49ers.!!

This review for the newly opened speakeasy downstairs. Cover is $8 to get in. You could go upstairs and come back with no additional charge. Just gotta let the ladies at the door know. Drinks are actually very well made! But expensive ~$16 per cocktail. We tried a tequila cocktail and a vodka one (I forgot the names lol). Pool games are free which is nice! They have two pool tables and a bunch of seating. They also have a DJ playing but no dance floor. It's more chill and classy. If you want to dance, go upstairs. I did enjoy the vibes and bathrooms are way cleaner. Nice spot for a date night.

Once you enter in the bar, go to the right, they'll give you a stamp on your hand, and then you can head downstairs. There are many lounge areas, and small tables & chairs to sit and drink at. There are also pool tables to use for free! There's also a DJ that plays GOOD r&b, hip hop, pop, and even some throwbacks too! The DJ that night took song requests and even gave a shoutout to the birthday girl in our group too. The cocktails were good, and I'm sad I didn't take pictures of it (had too much fun). The waitress will come to your table and you can order there OR you can also order at the bar. When I ordered at the bar, the waitress was so nice and helped me bring the drinks over to our table. I also had a taste of the fries, and the cups and guac and it was tasty too! There's some parking right infront or a parking lot behind the bar. I will definitely come back!

They were about 10-15 other guests but the places so big and spacious that it almost felt like we had a place to ourselves. There's a spot for a DJ/music and I can only imagine that they have some great shows here. The bartender was attentive, and while they weren't very personable you could tell that they knew several of the regulars. I didn't drink anything fancy, bourbon neat, but it was a fair pour. You order food separately. We are fish tacos, wings & nachos. The fish was fried and coleslaw had a touch of mayonnaise but not too much. This was my favorite dish. The wings of the nachos or what you expect, definitely flavorful and cooked well. We liked the crowd and will definitely be back to listen to some music and check out the lounge downstairs.

He created a space where people felt safe to express themselves and enjoy music without feeling judged. Coming back tonight was already emotionally difficult for me because I am still grieving his loss heavily. I became emotional while trying to explain how much Drew meant to me and how some of the interactions that night made me feel dismissed and unwelcome during a vulnerable moment. I also want to respectfully mention that certain details surrounding Drew's passing did not need to be repeatedly brought up in conversation. I understand no harm may have been intended, but hearing those details spoken about so openly was deeply upsetting and emotionally difficult for me personally. I calmly approached the owner and said I wasn't trying to cause drama and simply wanted to express how hurt and unheard I felt. His response was, "I don't want drama," before walking away from me while I was crying and trying to explain myself. That moment honestly broke my heart even more. I completely understand businesses have rules, closing times, and boundaries. But when someone is grieving the loss of a person who helped create such a loving environment there, compassion and kindness matter deeply. Drew always made people feel like they could take up space and be themselves. I just wish my first experience returning after his passing had reflected even a fraction of the warmth and humanity he gave to others.

Decided to come here because I've been wanting to come to a hookah bar for a while ever since I went to Miami!! My coworker said this was the place to go and man it was such a vibe walking in. My friends and I arrived a little before 9 and the bartender told us happy hour ends at 9 so what did we do? We ordered as many drinks as we could before it hit 9 o'clock lol. Also the hookah didn't start till 9 so we had time to kill lol. Then we found out there was food in the back to like can this place get any better?? I ordered myself fried chicken with fries while we waited for the hookah to be brought to us. It was $20 per plate which was not bad since they served a huge amount of food and it was cooked freshly. I love fresh cooked food that's the best! Outside in the back is where the food and where to pay for the hookah too, we decided to get watermelon flavor, great choice!! It only was $30 for the hookah which is not bad at all, good pricing if you ask me! The type of music they were playing was like 2000 music which I love, I grew up listening to that music it was such a vibe all night! It's took like 10-15 minutes to get our food and man that food was soooo good and fresh I loved it!! Right after we got our Hooka and it was soo flavorful but not too heavy so it was more like a light head rush. The man in charge of the Hookah would come around and make sure we had enough hookah and would switch out the old square cubes and replace them with new one for us! Overall I loved this place the bartender was great customer service, music was such a vibe, food was great, and to top it off the hookah was on point!!

But I've been in about a half dozen times during the day hours, either hanging out with friends before or after visiting a restaurant in the neighborhood. Anytime I've been in, its been pretty chill, always room on the bartop, some lounging/couch areas if you prefer. Drinks are dive bar cheap which is my comfort zone, but that is not to say that people only drink cheap sh%# here. You can drink whatever you want, but their pricing is just super fair and non-gouging. I'm sure there are lounge-ier spots within these blocks that want to charge $15-$18 per drink, but I'm not about that noise, never have been. The thing I really like about this dive is their sound system, even from their jukebox. It is always so clear and encompassing, even when the music is at a loud level. Other bars, if the accoustics are wrong, then loud music can be intrusive and/or irritating. Not here, maybe the big space is good for that, but I also think they have super nice speakers in the right spots to surround you with cool tunes. And I like music from many genres so even when other people are playing their music, I can still have a good time. And a couple of drinks with some good company, with some good nostalgic tunes on blast, I just can't help but have only good times here. I'll dive back here without hezzy.
