So disappointing- we had read the reviews and wanted to try it. We went in the wrong door first because the signage wasn't clear - finally made it to the hostess stand and waited for several minutes. Staff walked past us - never offered to seat us or assist. Several staff were 'play fighting' near the kitchen door. Even as we started to leave and the hostess finally made her way to her duty point, she didn't speak of offer to seat us or ask why we were leaving. The place is just... fun! There's no other word to describe it. With rustic brick walls and live music, you can't ask for a better atmosphere. With so many good choices on the menu, we had a hard time figuring out what to get. Some fabulous sounding citrus salad? Brisket Mac and cheese? What?! We chose this restaurant never were craving burgers, so we each got a different kind of burger. It was slightly (very slightly) overcooked, but it was flavorful with such well-chosen toppings, it didn't matter. Our server was great at recommending choices and helping us. This place has a lot to offer! Great food with lots of flavor. The Brisket Tots are tasty and the Skillet Scampi has a little kick which was a great surprise! The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. They have one area that is for dining only and the other side has the bar & the stage where the bands play. If there is a band playing sometimes you have to buy tickets to stay for the show. Reservations are recommended but not required. They have some good mixed drink options. My favorite was the Mint Cucumber Daiquiri! There are two patio areas to enjoy, one in the front that faces the street and one in the back with comfy couches & fun photo backdrop wall. This place is fantastic. The weather was beautiful so we sat on the porch for dinner. Cars can be noisy going by but that's understandable. I feel like sitting outside is cause to be forgotten but our waiter never left us unattended for too long. Drinks were great and they have a big selection of liquors. Food was delicious as well. I love sitting out on the patio, but a few minutes in and bees and bugs showed up and they were bad. The restaurant can't help that but it was hard to eat and swat at bugs the entire meal. The food is good. I wish they would add sweet tea. Its never busy so you can always go right to a table. I love the corn brulee. Parking - it is across the street so be prepared for that. Layout - the entrance when we walked in we were not sure we were in the right place. Signage on the main doors (or better signage) would help and it looks like at one time this was two separate suites and a cut through was added between them during an expansion. Once we were sure we were in the right place we were taken to a nice raised booth table by the bar and kitchen with a decent view of the stage. Menu had something for everyone and we felt the service was good and our server doing her best though there were quite a few large parties and groups that i think challenged the flow of the kitchen and bar. Shout out to the young bartender in the red bow tie with the man-bun hairstyle. He worked his tail off to het drinks made quickly and correctly while the bar back and other bartender seemed to leave their chatty corner in the back when a manager came through. Great value for the price and we were mostly pleased with our food. My carrot ribbons were noticeably undercooked among the squash and other veg in it but what I struggled with was the decision to toss the little plastic butter cup into the cast iron dish my veggies were in along with the biscuit on top of them. So whomever had handled that container of spread - it went straight into my food =\ and the mashed potatoes- skip them as other reviewers have said - in the actual potato there is no flavor or seasoning or butter or cream or anything. They almost tasted instant but the brown gravy i ordered them with was so good it let me eat them together. We will for sure dine here again when we come through town. The skillet chicken I ordered was amazing and the garlic parmesan sauce with sun dried tomatoes was to die for. I sopped up the extra sauce with the biscuit. So good!! I enjoy this place more each time I go. The waiters and waitresses are always polite and attentive. We have a regular waitress and that is possible because it is a good place to work. That tells me a lot about management and customers alike. Live music is sometimes offered on weekends to make date night a really fun time. A little disappointed with our experience here recently. I love the food here, but the service was less than expected today. My husband and I walked in and were immediately sat. But past being sat we waited 20 minutes before walking out. Not one person greeted us after the host stand... no drinks brought. No acknowledgment. Use to be a regular until the food quality and service took a nose dive. Gave it another chance last week . Bad mistake. Service was sub par even though the place was basically empty. The hamburger was over cooked as were the chips. The chips were brittle in addition to being over cooked. I thought that they had reheated them in the fryer before service but they were cold to the touch when served. I will not be going back unless a new owner takes over. read more

Went in for birthday dinner with family. Ordered tomahawk pork chop. Said it takes 25 minutes to cook and came it out 1/3 of an inch thick and rather on the small end. Remember this being thick piece of meat that took up half the plate and required 25 minutes to cook and was worth the $22 price tag. What I received today was NO where near the size or quality I had in the past. Waitress was great and took $4.40 off bill. A huge letdown from what I was expecting. The food has been good from day one; the service finally matches the food. Service has been steadily improving, and Viviana was amazing today! We love the Mac-n-cheese (by itself, covered in brisket, covered in hot chicken, etc) and the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos. (Yes, they make their own tortillas) Tried the sweet potato pecan casserole for the first time today and it was awesome, as is the fried shrimp, corn brûlée, the smoked platter, and okay-we have liked everything we have tried. For Angleton, this was a nice night out. The service was efficient and friendly. Prices were not too steep. My strip steak, green beans and mashed potatoes were really good. My husband had the blackened redfish with the cream sauce and he felt that it was about average. We both though the huge biscuits were just okay.
