The Sticky Ribs were huge and exceptional - nestled on a bed of mashed potato and fresh veggies. The Smoked Out Platter was beyond scrumptious and tasted divine. A must order!!! The sweetness of the Tamale was a great pairing. A bottle of 19 Crimes Pinot Noir tied it all together. Our waitress was very informative and pleasant. She answered our questions and we had a wonderful meal. Our salads were fresh and the homemade blackberry and citrus vinegarette were really good. Very nice I-70 surprise because as the 'big' town for many miles there ain't much here in Burlington. A wide variety from salads to sandwiches to steak seafood and pasta. And not weird stuff like some places do.... Normal type stuff with little taste twists. For instance, the Brussel sprout hash. Since when did God relocate heaven to Burlington, CO? Since The Dish Room opened! I had read the reviews and salivated over the pictures on Yelp and finally had a chance to go tonight. We went for dinner in the winter when it has a nice evening darker atmosphere with tasteful decorations. We sat right down at 5:20 pm and had excellent professional service. The menu is quite impressive and varied as the chef does some interesting things with food and flavor combinations. We ordered a side salad to split which was more than enough. It had culinary touches with colored carrots and fresh spring lettuce and a little onion. It was size-able for $4. For the mains we ordered the Chicken Marsala and the Dirty South Pasta which were both $18 and worth every penny. The flavors were delicious, came out hot, were nicely presented, and had generous portions. Our waitress checked on us 4-5 times, twice most places. Do not pass this place up. We left around 6:30 pm and it was packed as they close at 8:30 pm on a week night. We will be back. Check out the menu. Service wasn't too slow but not super quick either. The restaurant as a whole was nice and eclectic decor. There was a strange water leak near our table and by the bathrooms which concerned me a bit as someone who has mold allergies. Overall it was a nice place. Was just passing through town. Love how pet friendly this place is, brought out a bowl of cool water for our dog. Second visit. The ribeye was underwhelming. However the corn tamale side and sweet potato side are ridiculously good. The zefir(?) cocktail is delicious as well. The infused water is delicious and a nice treat from basic water. Currently road tripping back to Missouri and after seeing cows in fields all day driving, I had a craving for a steak. I notoriously do not like restaurant steaks because I feel I make a better one myself more often than not, but the tenderloin I ordered here was one of the best steaks I've ever had! Absolutely loved and from local cattle. Maybe even one of the farms we were driving by today! The peppers appetizer was also delicious. Boyfriend ordered the smoked plate and he loved it. Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Describe this place as upscale country but with a casual steakhouse feel. The menu had a little hodge podge of everything from butternut squash enchiladas to surf and turf. My wife chose the hand ground burger which was cooked perfectly medium rare at her request. You could taste the hand ground love from the patty. It was one of the better burgers I have tasted. The french fries were crunchy and salted perfectly. I chose the 12 oz Filet and it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The meat appears to be good quality meat. I noticed a sign indicates that they also serve Wagyu beef and the waitress indicated the special for the night was Wagyu shredded brisket sandwich but I opted for the steak. We spent one night in Burlington on our way to St. Louis. We found The Dish Room from an internet search. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Apon arriving, we were pleased with the look and appreciated the full bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Before being seated we said we wanted to sit at the bar for a drink. Our first contact with the service staff was the bartender, London. She was very engaging and allowed me to have a taste of two IPAs to decide which I preferred. They also had grapefruit juice, so my wife was able to have a Greyhound. She was busy with other customers but made time to listen to our stories about the cross country trip. The dining room to the left of the bar was closed, so we chose to sit in the bar area. Our server was Kiyarra, who was a fairly new employee, but was very attentive and never responded to a request by saying "no problem" which is a pet peeve of ours. We shared a goat cheese salad. My wife had the Cognac Steak Adobo, which she found delicious. I chose the fish of the day, Amber Jack, which was very nice. After finishing, we ask to speak to the manager, Carlos Hernandez. We complimented him on well trained staff, the quality of the food and enjoyable time we had at the restaurant. We highly recommend The Dish Room if you ever come to Burlington, CO.
