    Ashely is such a sweet person. She knows her job and knows how to treat her clients individually. I would definitely recommend her as your stylist. She did my hair exactly how I wanted. Very good experience with this place!

    take yourselves off of Groupon if you don't value the price. don't make excuses that people are being hostile for asking questions like this

    12/2- DO NOT GO HERE, THE EMPLOYEES AND OWNER ARE HORRIBLE and don't know how to treat possibly loyal customers or people in general. I tried to make an appointment with a Groupon I was thinking of purchasing and the owner cancelled my appointment twice after I asked if they'll uphold the value. They told me I was being hostile through my email (image of email correspondence attached). the comment of my being hostile was over the phone where the woman (pretty sure it was Jennifer) just simply hung up after telling me they don't want to make my appointment. not sure how my email was hostile at all but this was a shitty way to handle your business if its just about not wanting to uphold the Groupon value. you should say that instead of telling people they're hostile FOR NO REASON AT ALL. I'd give this place 0 stars but had to give a 1 star in order to post this. your business will fail if you continue this way, Jennifer. also, if you care to respond, Jennifer, let me know exactly what was hostile about my email and why my appointment was cancelled TWICE. 12/3 update: - in response to this post above, the owner, Jennifer responded to me through email saying that I was in touch over the holiday weekend, which I was not. I did not use another phone number to call back and leave any threatening voicemail. these people clearly have me mistaken for someone else and didn't bother clearing anything up, just simply emailed in a very harassing way; a response in which, I felt I had to share here. 1. this bad review is not without cause. i'm being accused of things I did not do and being treated horribly by people I simply asked Groupon questions to. 2. From my knowledge, I did not speak with 3 people at this salon, only Jennifer and Ashley. 3. I did not speak to anyone over the holiday weekend. I began my Groupon search on Tuesday at which point I made the initial booking (booking screenshot attached) through Vagara and inquired about whether they will uphold the groupon value instead of my buying it, at which point jennifer emailed me saying she cannot but that I can book with Ashley (also in one of the screenshots attached). once I booked with Ashley, I received another email saying my appointment will be cancelled because "Diva Dive feels our relationship will not work out. We think it's best for you to find another salon, better fitting your needs. Bliss salon , Vintage salon and Courtyard salon may be better fitting for you." -- I wonder why these salons were selected as backups for me (are you saying they have rude customers, Jennifer? I'll be sure to let them know of this recommendation at my appt this weekend.). Regardless, I did EXACTLY what Jennifer told me to in her email by booking with Ashley. 4. There were not 2 communications. There was barely 1 communication on the phone whereby the employee or Jennifer just hung up on me without any reason saying I was being hostile. 5. my first communication (as shown in the screenshot) shows that I was NOT RUDE OR DEMANDING and that I was simply inquiring about the Groupon value. 6. I did not try to circumvent the system. I used Vagara and left a note when I made my booking on 12/2. I did not use any other means to make this appointment aside from the way this Yelp page and Diva Dive's website led me to, which was Vagara. 7. I did not continue to call you and did not use another number to leave a voicemail. Where are you getting this information? it would be great to see your phone logs of this considering I only have ONE cell phone and ONE phone number. 8. I did not leave a nasty, rude, or threatening voicemail. again, I simply asked about the groupon. 9. this is definitely a bad relationship, I agree with you Jennifer. But by doing this, you forced away other possibly good relationships with people who will be reading this review. people still rely on yelp for businesses like yours. 10. I don't need an apology, just some human decency would do just fine. Let me know if you have any of that lying around at Diva Dive (I doubt it) or if this is a race thing, a topic that I keep in mind at all times as a minority woman. 11. I did not TELL you that I will use the groupon, I was simply asking if you will honor the value that I'm seeing, a concept many businesses like to take on so they receive the full payment instead of just a percentage from a third party. I was only being nice by offering this in my message, not trying to maneuver around any policies. I understand rules, regulations, policies, and state laws very well, Jennifer. I'm an attorney. Let me know if you need any more proof of your misunderstanding (and that you clearly have me mistaken for someone else) and I will provide it here in this public forum. Have a beautiful day.

    Jen has done a great job with my haircuts and I'll continue going to see her from now on. I had been going to chain haircut places before and never seeing the same stylist twice, but I've OVER THAT! I have been used to getting a $10 cut that takes about fifteen minutes and never really been satisfied. My wife suggest that I see Jen after hearing that she cuts men's hair too and I'm so glad I went. For $30, I can get a cut that is tailored to my requests and expect it to grow out in a reasonable fashion. This means better cuts less often and supporting a local business! She really took the time to have a conversation about what I want and what I haven't liked in the past. She did an expert job on the back and gave me a neck shave too!

    A few weeks ago, I spent a weekend out in Austin, Texas and decided to get my hair colored while on vacay. I struggled a bit finding a place that had such last minute availability (got rejected over the phone with 3 places) but Linh answered at Amp'Diva and she was not only accommodating, but friendly. Goes a long way! The salon isn't very easy to spot, especially in the rain and when you don't know what to look for but once you find it, its unforgettable. The establishment itself isn't very large but they make do of every inch of the space and it's eclectic decor makes it feel homey. They also offer wine and snacks while being serviced - super helpful because you can get so hungry in those chairs! Without having to explain my prior hair history, Linh, being Asian (and Vietnamese!) knew exactly how to treat my hair, which is not so easy to find with a hair stylist up North. I guess being in TX, the clientele is different. Unfortunately the dye color didn't stick that well to me the first time because my hair is super resistant, but Linh was able to use a stronger treatment and was determined to get it to the state that it needed to be, even if she had to do it twice. Thank you, Linh! I walked away extremely satisfied and if I find myself needing a trim/color again in Austin, I will definitely return! 5 stars!

    After twenty years with the same general haircut petrified of change, finally worked up the nerve to cut my hair, really cut it. Linh, you've done such an amazing job. I absolutely love it and in a way you've changed my life a little bit. Thank you so much. I am so lucky to have you. Love me some AMP'DIVA!!!! Bonus: the feeling of empowerment and positivity that is imparted when you leave the salon is exhilarating. I love y'all!!!

    I came in for balayage with Jen. She did such an amazing job, my black hair was lifted to just the right light brown/ash blonde shade that I wanted. She even styled my hair after. I love my new color and I had such a great experience! Staff is super friendly. It felt like I was hangin out with girlfriends. I highly recommend and I definitely won't be going anywhere else to get my hair done.

    Let me start with I love the color I got!! Unfortunately, that's where it ends. I called and said I saw them Groupon and was asked to not purchase through Groupon, rather, they would honor the deal. Ok, no problem. It was explained that any "extra" stuff is not include; color, toner, etc. Ok again as I didn't foresee that being a problem as it never has been for me in the past. My hair isn't super long so it should be fine. Wrong. The stylist got through half of my head when she stated she needed to go mix more color. Hmmm...I was purchasing an all over highlight and cut. Why would we need more color halfway through? I also opted to get some waxing done. I was not informed of the cost: $15/eyebrows and $15/upper lip!! Seems a bit steep especially without any follow up tweezing/shaping. I had to do that at home. Next is the haircut. I really dislike it. It is uneven and I have a major shelf layer. I always wear my hair parted and I explained this to the stylist. Please refer to the pictures. So, when all was said and done, I went in expecting to pay around $60 for the cut/color (Groupon promo deal) and I opted to add waxing. When I was told my total was $114 I was quite shocked. I strongly feel that I was purposely charged for extra color and the waxing is way over priced for what it entailed. I will not be back.

    So I got a Groupon for diva dive because I've been trying to find a hair stylist but ive been struggling to find a decent place. First of all I just looked up reviews and thought it was decent enough. LOl I looked them up 20 min before my appointment and knew this was myy kind of place! Sugar skulls, pin ups and tool boxes for counters. I walked in and was immediately greeted and sat down. Ashley (hope I spelled it right if I didn't I'm sorry!) was so friendly and was so down to tame my hair which was super long and needed help! She did SUCH a great job my layers are great my hair is even in the back and the products they used all smelled great and left my hair feeling amazing I definitely found my new salon of choice!

    Chelsea did a great job with my haircut. She listened well to what I wanted done and even gave me a few suggestions. She was kind enough to educate me on various brushes and how to maintain healthy hair. She ended it with a cute curl style. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and staff. Would definitely recommend !

I chose oakley for him through their website and she was personable and did a great job . He's really happy with it and will be back . They also gave us 20% off a hair product so even I got something out of it! It's also a really nice salon with a lot of products for sale and the receptionists were really outgoing .

I'd like to share an experience I just had at Shelley's Salon in Belton…read more I booked a haircut for my 6 year old daughter, and when I got there I was told that my (perfectly behaved) 9 year old son wasn't allowed to stay in the building. The two options that the manager said I had were 1. To let my 6 year old go back alone with the stylist, and I could wait in the car with my son, or 2. I could go into the appointment with my daughter and let my son go wait in the car by himself. Both unsafe, neglectful options. There were 4 seats in the waiting room, all empty, so I asked if he could sit there? No, because it would "negatively affect the guest experience." Not sure what it is about my son's presence that is so offensive, but that's an incredibly rude thing to say especially after suggesting 2 unsafe options for my kids. I asked for a refund (because when you book they charge $20) and of course she said it's not refundable, but would refund me "just this once." As if I'll ever be booking there again. If you have kids, I wouldn't recommend booking there.

    I was a longtime client of this salon and had referred multiple friends and family members over the…read moreyears, which is why writing this review is so disappointing. On May 22, I had an appointment for highlights, a shampoo, cut, and style. During the consultation, we reviewed inspiration photos and discussed the look I wanted. We agreed on adding noticeable dimension and brightness to my hair, and I was told the photo I provided was achievable. Unfortunately, the final result looked nothing like what we had discussed. There was little to no visible change, and we actually had to walk around the salon and look at my hair in different lighting so I could try to see the highlights that had been done. I left confused and disappointed, especially considering I paid $437.48 for the appointment. When I expressed concerns before leaving, I was told to "sleep on it" and that if I was still unhappy, they could try to squeeze me in later in the week for a correction appointment. The problem was that this appointment was for my graduation photos. I had already taken time off work, spent several hours in the salon, and had photos scheduled. Waiting several more days and hoping another appointment would fix the issue was not a realistic option. I also had no existing color on my hair before this appointment, as the last color service I received was from the same stylist in February 2025. After multiple appointments over the years where I left unhappy with the results, I did not feel comfortable returning and hoping for a different outcome, especially with such an important event approaching. What made the situation significantly worse was what I discovered after the appointment. Once I got home and styled my hair myself, I realized the haircut was uneven and appeared broken into sections in multiple areas. With my photos quickly approaching, I had no choice but to seek corrective services elsewhere. The stylist who corrected my hair had to cut several inches off to make it look even and healthy again. I was honestly in tears. What was supposed to be an exciting appointment before an important milestone became stressful and upsetting. Not only was I unhappy with the original service, but I also had to spend additional money to fix it. The stylist who corrected my hair also strongly recommended that I seek a refund. I attempted to handle everything privately before ever considering a review. I emailed the salon, explained my concerns, provided photos, and requested a resolution. After waiting more than a week for a response, I received a partial refund. However, the refund did not even amount to half of what I paid for the appointment and did not account for the additional money I spent correcting the issues elsewhere. I followed up and explained why I did not feel comfortable returning for a correction and that the haircut required professional corrective work. In response, I was eventually sent a copy of the consultation disclaimer that clients are required to sign when booking appointments. There was no explanation, no response to the concerns I raised, and no return phone call. When I replied explaining that the disclaimer did not address any of the issues I had experienced, I never received another response. At no point did I feel that my concerns were genuinely addressed. Instead, I felt dismissed. I understand that mistakes happen and that not every hair appointment goes perfectly. What ultimately led me to write this review was not just the outcome of the appointment, but how the situation was handled afterward. As a longtime client who had referred multiple friends and family members to the salon, I expected better communication, accountability, and customer service. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere and can no longer recommend this salon. I wanted very much to resolve this privately and continue supporting a business I had trusted for years, but that was not the outcome. I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision.

And this is not to pass judgement on him or to discredit. Here goes! I went in for my appointment FEB 19 2018 With "JOSEPH" I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and so did the stylist! We texted back and forth before I set the date and asked clearly if I'm able to achieve this in the sitting of one appointment! My hair prior to this was colored! I also stated I know they will be damage but how bad will it be? And asked if olaplex will be used? I was guaranteed it will be used! Since we are bleaching. (My Hair was virgin:he was the first to color /bleach) So he then proceeds I asked "if it mattered how he lays down the hair w the bleach" because I part my hair differently than what I see him do! His response was No it does not matter) I figured well he's the stylist he knows best right? After the bleach is in my hair he then puts me on this thing where I have to sit below it and that heats up my hair * I apologize I forgot * little did I know He was NOT supposed to put me under there!!!!! That only FRIED my hair more! ( another hair stylist has seen my hair and told me ) * also I got different opinions not just 2) * After a few hours in the bright A** light it's dark outside now. I see my hair is off with my natural color followed by old color then the color I wanted then a light at the very ends.. I thought it was my weary eyes (if you must know I'm mother of now a 5 month old baby) I breastfeed!) thinking it was that and the lighting and after he finished curling my hair he don't even give me the mirror so I see the back of my hair I found that odd.- and he blended the curls so well I couldn't pick it up same day. (He knew my hair was NOT done Right) Well I get done and the price was $385 woah ! WtH right well damn that's higher than what you quoted me !!! I payed hoping I had just enough in my card. I went home my husband saw this atrocity but I refuted the idea it looked horrible it has to be seen in the daylight hun! When I woke up next day I also texted him (Joseph)saying that my hair is very dry his response was only that it was bleached so it's normal but if you used olaplex it shouldn't be that much damage and I know I seen my hair after I broke up the curls and saw that it was NOT even done PROPERLY the balayage I don't know if it can be called balayage (at this point )it is way off from it the color was not even what I thought I seen in them bright lights I was devastated and HURT I cried my husband saw it he felt so bad for me. My hair was soooo dry as well I was balding ! I didn't take notice until my family and husband pointed out they took pictures (My Hair has not been washed yet ) & I don't know if this is shocking but only my ends are light and a faded light purple as well as my front I have two strips one on each side of my head they're way off from the rest of the color of my hair I don't know what happened if I never washed it.!! It is ssssooo bad! I reached out to A different Hairstylist I sent her pictures of my hair and pictures of what it's supposed to be that I wanted. Long story short I went in she took pictures and it was very doubtful that my previous Hairstylist used Olaplex she had mentioned that many people have came to her for corrections because they went to the same person I did and he charged a lot of money for nothing absolutely nothing I didn't even have to tell her who I went to she guessed and if you don't believe me then it's up to you where u go to get your hair done. She had told me other stories about other people coming into the shop for corrections because he had butchered their hair as he did mine but there are no reviews on it whatsoever or anything detailed! IF THERE WAS AT LEAST 1 review on Those Clients that he butchered I GUARANTEE I will HAVE NEVER TRUSTED my hair to him! And my Money! Mothers out there who don't have time for anything know how it feels to spend money well tHrow money at this point and only to have your hair looking worse than----anything!!! When all you want is to look nice At least W THE HAIR! *************** The money you spend here is NOT worth it there is other people and more experienced hairstylist out there who don't be quoting "if you want it to look nice you got to spend the money where it's worth my work is worth it" be mindful of what they put in your hair and make sure you SEE them!
