I've never been one to get facials, really. I'd also look like crap for several days with the huge welts left from extractions as well as the bright red-red of my hyper-exfoliated face. I'd also drop over $100 on the product that was pushed on me, most of which I'd use a few times with limited success. This week I decided to try out Jennifer's new space at Studio 2, and she might just be the first aesthetician to convert me! The appointment itself was really nice: calming space, soothing (but not cheesy) spa music, gorgeous smelling skin care products, a pain-free eyebrow wax, and a phenomenal shoulder and scalp massage to round it all out. And my skin! Jennifer is equipped with the best tools of the trade to leave everything exfoliated and moisturized but not prey to day-after breakouts, sunlight sensitivity, or extreme redness. And she's a super nice person that I really enjoyed spending 90 minutes with. The day after my appointment, I had multiple coworkers tell me my skin looked amazing. I've never had someone compliment me on such a thing. But there you have it: they said that my complexion was "glowing." Four days later, everything still feels soft and moist and gorgeous. So leave like, an hour early from your appointment. Pricing is very shady: the appointment app they use will hook you with "special offer deal", and randomly change your appointment time. By the time it's too late to cancel the promotion suddenly disappears and your card is charged the normal price! Difference of nearly $100 counting the tip they automatically charge. The owner Jen has been doing lashes for years: but she moved away and left the place to her associate. She "manages" from afar; while still being able to text you in a manner that's unprofessional. But that's just me. In summary: 1. Every single time it burns!! 2. Appointment booking is really shady. 3. Prices are "cheap" but end up sky high with automatic charging and automatic tip regardless of whether you think it's botched or not. 4. She has such a skill for making my lashes and spray tan look natural. Its perfect for my job as a personal trainer and a full-time nurse. I usually tell people who compliment me that my tan and eyelashes are actually fake and they are shocked - they usually end up getting Jenny's contact information because she is just the best. The only thing to learn about fake eye lashes if it is your first time is to read about eyelash cycles. Be sure to take care of them - no oils on your face and you will be fine. Its the a way better investment than mascara. From there you can sort by the availability of each stylist or by the day. You are able to control who does your hair and there is a brief description of the stylist that you can read prior to scheduling. I booked my appointment on Sunday and made it for the next day. Kendra was my stylist and made sure my cut was exactly as I wanted it before leaving. She was pleasant and didn't rush. I was very happy with my results. I also ended up scheduling an appointment for my teenage daughter with a different stylist (Natalya). She cut my daughter's hair just as she asked and even put some waves in it. The salon is on the larger size with many stylists working at once. I know prices of haircuts have gone up, but they seem to charge the same as other salons in the area, if not less. I payed $60 each for our haircuts, and after looking around at other salons, some were charging $70-$80 for the exact same service. I would definitely recommend trying then out if you haven't already. I don't know why it has taken me so many years to try this salon for as many times as I have driven by over the years.
