Cute coffee shop! I thought the coffee was good, but unfortunately came in on the barista's second day on the job. She was very overwhelmed during the morning rush on a Saturday, and it took a very long time to receive my iced mocha. She was working hard, and I did appreciate her great attitude through it all. I am not giving 4 star for her effort, but rather the rest of the staff who just seemed content to let her falter and not help her out. read more

I was looking foward to a good coffee from THE DOCK in spooner WI.. As I walked in the was an employee sweeping the floor. Behind the counter was another employee, She was talking to a woman and kid at the end of the coffee bar. I stood in front of her for a few minutes and she continues to speak to this person at a distance. Then the woman asked what bread they had that was gluten free. The employee left the counter and went to the kitchen to get the bread. She then walked on the outside of the counter to the woman at the end and together they stood and read all the ingredients on the wrapper. I stood for awhile and this continued. I was never acknowledged. Finally I left with no coffee. I will never go there again! Hope you can afford losing customers. read more

Such a great place!! Great coffee and food! Stop here if you need a coffee, driving break or lunch! The building is very pretty, awesome old wood floor. Lots of places to sit. They have seating upstairs in a loft area also. Their baked goods are really good, and I've had the quiche a few times for lunch. We always make sure that we stop here on our road trip from Iowa up to Ashland. It's a must stop. And for the folks that like to shop, there is an awesome store right next to the dock. read more

Nice atmosphere; rough service. Imagine 2 young teen girls working in an ice cream shop, who then decide to use the espresso machine. Specialty coffee training? I have never seen anyone put the steamer wand in the milk pitcher & then step away!! Then they couldn't remember which drink was which when serving the order. So many more issues - I was amazed. Please watch some YouTube videos if your management isn't going to train you. The beans you grind deserve better, as do your paying customers. read more

Came in here before a hockey game one time to get a PSL and was charged $9 for a 16 oz latte. It was good but not that good. It didn't match the menu price for a latte but I was running late and didn't want to make a fuss. Interior is super cute. Would like to try again if prices are more reasonable. read more

The best coffee shop in spooner! Coming from the cities, the Dock offers a ton of variety on drinks and food. They don't serve food after 3, but it's a great place to come to if you're visiting and up for a cabin weekend. Service is very friendly. All their furniture is unique prices and they even have a small gift shop. read more

As first time customers we had a horrible experience here! Multiple rude comments from staff and we waited super long for one scoop of ice cream. When it came, we went up to get it and the woman working was super rude and said it was for someone else- bur she had the order wrong. She was unapologetic about this and that whole experience was just really disappointing. We would literally never go back based on this first time experience. read more

Best coffee around. Puts Alleycats to shame. The family that owns it is kind and know how to run a business. Only downside is they don't really have a sense of urgency and it's always a long wait for just coffee. Luckily they just got toast so we can order ahead and they have a digital loyalty program. I love this place! I literally stumbled upon it one day and go back often! I do not drink coffee but love their flatbreads! The actual bread is made by a local bakery and the Dock adds the wonderful fixings to make it the best around! I Iove the atmosphere and we drive about 20 miles to get there! If I lived here this would be my coffee shop. It is such a cute place. The decor is so quaint and rustic I feel like I'm at a cabin. My favorite spot to sit is in the yellow Adirondack chairs under there super awesome coffee chalkboard. The brilliant coffee chalkboard has a breakdown of what is in different coffee drinks. Let's not forget about the super friendly staff. I have not had the same barista in my few visits so I'm guessing the friendliness os a part of the culture of this place. Now for the food, I had a croissant egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast. This was unlike any I have devoured because it was toasted. The croissant was all toasty and flaky with melted cheese and egg in between it. They had three slices of orange as the side. Since I am not a coffee drinker I sipped Oregano chi tea with soy after I licked my fingers of the croissant flakes. I can't wait to go back tomorrow. read more

Disgusted and appalled. Do not order food here. Just witnessed two gals in back making food without gloves and touching the food bare-handed. Not even little touches, full on grabbed slabs of meat with their hands, saw them using bare hands to sprinkle cheese and almonds. Never getting food here again. read more

Great coffee! You can order any fun flavored drink and still get the yummy coffee flavor. Nothing tastes too sugary here. The whole shop is comfortable and the staff is super friendly! I haven't tried all of the food yet but the croissant breakfast sandwiches have the thickest bacon on this planet so give those a shot! read more

We spent 1 week in spooner visiting family and so happy to find this fantastic place. We hit it a bunch of times in a week (rainy weather made it tough for 24/7 lake time). Visit 1: delicious salad and super flat white Visit 3: outstanding Italian soda. They made a custom concoction for me with cold brew coffee and a flavor that was out of this world Visit 4: Bloody Mary! One of the best ones ever with a bar back of Oberon! Visit 5: fudge and another Italian soda. Husband the coffee snob was also really happy with his espressos at each visit. Delightful staff, comfortable space. A total home run, so glad downtown spooner has such a great coffee shop. read more

This place was a nightmare today. Not sure if they were understaffed or what. Super cute place, but filthy. The person who took our order was worried about her phone and wanted to take a break.. We were clearly not a priority.. It took 40 minutes to get our food. They gave us one of the drinks, but not the other two. When I stood at the bar to ask about them, they studiously ignored me and another person who came up looking for their drinks. The actual food was good, although it would have been nice to have a fork, a clean place to eat it, and our drinks. I'd give them another month or two to get it together. read more

This is the best thing that's happened to Spooner since I don't remember when. We come to the cabin most weekends in the Summer and always need our espresso fix. For years before The Dock opened, we frequented Alley Cats. However, they are closed all day on Sundays. So when needed coffee on a Sunday, my Grandpa suggested the new coffee shop in town. We went and couldn't love the place more. We haven't been back to Alley Cats since. The espresso is fantastic. The Americano's are so bold and delicious. They also have the best ice cream in town and the same fudge that was sold in the candy store that stood before The Dock took over. I have never eaten the food but it looks great. One of the best parts of this coffee shop is the ambience. You can tell a lot of work and thought went into decorating it. The balance of cabin culture and old school farm houses is amazing - yet it still feels modern. The only experience that's ever been less than superb was this past weekend. On two separate occasions, my mom ordered a breve caramel macchiato and both times she was given non breve caramel lattes. Not a big deal but something to note. I also wish they were open later on Fridays and Saturdays during the Summer. We would love to visit after dinner or after a movie for coffee and ice cream - especially since the new Dairy Depot (or whatever it's called) sucks. read more

They had alternative milk options, good quality oatmeal, and an awesome vibe. Would love to sit, drink coffee, and read a book I just didn't have the time. We absolutely LOVE this place. We come to town every month or so and It's a daily pilgrimage to grab a coffee, a nosh and use the Internet. I've been coming to Spooner all my life and this has to be one of my new favorite stops in town. Such a cool, relaxing design inside. I could spend hours relaxing in there. This is a great coffee shop! I'm not sure if it's new or not but I had never been there before until today. They have sandwiches, fudge, ice cream and beer too! Never seen a coffee shop that serves beer out here. Staff was super friendly and they have a lot of choices for coffee and tea. I got a chai tea latte and it was really good. There's a shop across the hallway too that has some cool stuff like gifts and home decor. It's worth checking out. I recommend this place! read more

We randomly stopped here while passing through town and were so happy we did!
