I'm a city girl, and I was wary of going to an unfamiliar and very rural area, but as soon as I stepped foot into the bed & breakfast, I felt immediately at home. The first night I got there, it was pouring rain and I couldn't see well. I parked in front of the house and Tari kindly told me I could leave the car there until the morning and she showed me around and made me feel immediately at ease. Tari and Scott actually live off of a little road towards the back of the house, but they are within walking distance of the house and always accessible by phone if you need anything. The house is absolutely stunning and comforting, and it has all the amenities you could possibly need. Tari and Scott take great care of the house. It was always in immaculate condition. The furniture and fixtures are beautiful, and there is a fully stocked kitchen (you can take any of the food for the day free of charge--granola bars, crackers, fruit, deli meats, cheese, baked banana bread, bagels, tea, coffee, juice, soda, bottled water, wine, and more!). I practically ate an entire banana bread loaf that Tari baked during my stay because it was so delicious, and of course Tari and Scott will serve you a yummy breakfast every morning upon request. I had some of the best night's sleep in the room I stayed in too. Each room has its own thermostat and there was a comfy down blanket that I slept with every night for the three nights I was there. My drive to Miami U. each morning was less than 5 minutes, and every time I left the conference, I was excited to go back to the house! Tari and Scott are very kind and personable. They truly care about their guests' comfort and happiness. I highly recommend staying here over a hotel. The rates are comparable, and you get so much more from staying here. If I ever find myself in Oxford again, I will for sure stay here again.

We stayed in the Carriage Room and it was adorable and cozy. There was another family with a baby--but the house is so big my husband and I barely heard anyone. Breakfast was homemade and delicious! Fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee, and quiche in the main dining room were a lovely end to a great stay. We'd definitely revisit and absolutely would suggest this place to our friends.

But we really lucked out by stumbling on Sycamore Farms website. We stayed in a 3- bedroom cottage with a back patio on a quaint quiet little street and really enjoyed the restaurant- quality breakfast she cooked for us and the other guests on Sunday morning! This place is such a hidden gem, we will definitely return on our next trip to Oxford.

The modernized tiled kitchen is welcoming and sleek, and opens into a patio overlooking flowering native plants and many trees. Breakfast featured local breads, fresh fruit and exceptional bacon even a pescatarian can love. Best of all is the personable and knowledgeable hostess - we learned a lot about sustainable living and the people who live in this area. We stayed two nights, and cycled on the Cardinal Greenway each day.

The House was dripping with history, the décor was so amazing, I found myself just sitting and looking around as if I were sitting in a history book photo. We were there on a bike trip with another couple. The house is right off the Xenia Paths. They had secure storage for our bikes and a place for them to plug in. The price was more than reasonable. If you're looking for a B&B, do yourself a favor and book this place. We WILL be back.

We stayed at a bed & breakfast last night that I won't forget…read more It was actually the original art studio of T. C. Steele--part of an old artist colony--and you can still feel that history when you're there. But the best part wasn't just the place, it was the host. She's 89 years old and still takes care of the property herself. We ended up sitting with her for a couple hours just listening to the history of the home, her family, and everything that's happened there over the years. You don't get that kind of experience at a hotel. It felt more like stepping into a story than just a place to stay. If you're anywhere near here, I'd highly recommend it. These are the kinds of places worth supporting.
