Recently renovated, it is a delight to the eye, with its antique and vintage furniture, perfectly chosen colors, and tasteful ornamentation. The common area downstairs, where a healthy and fresh continental breakfast is available every morning, is both lovely (I particularly loved the rocker) and comfortable. Our upstairs bedroom had not only vintage furnishings, but also welcome modern elements, such as the king-sized bed and wide-screen television - and there was plenty of drawer and hanging space. Every detail evidenced the care and taste of our host, Jim, from the lovely bed linens and ample towels, to the selection of personal toiletries in the elegant (and spotless) marble bathroom. Who expects a glorious white orchid on the vanity? And on the subject of the host, Jim is all we could have wished for. In addition to his attentive hospitality, as a long-time resident of Yellow Springs, he knows its history, its people, and its stories; and he is generous in sharing information about places to eat, shop, see art, and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The dinner roll used to be soft and fluffy with blackberry butter. Now it is a small, hard dinner roll with regular butter. The chicken is not dry, which is a plus. And the salad was good. We were very sad to see that the infamous chicken dinner has changed so much, so it has fallen off our faves list. It quickly made sense to us as to why the place only had a couple of customers, when it used to be packed.

Hardy is one of those guys you can just sit and talk to for hours. He know a lot of history on all the b&b houses he owns. There's the main house and then two others. Price is cheaper than a hotel and you get lots of space and a gourmet breakfast at 8:30...so don't get to sloppy the night before cause you gotta get up early. LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the landscaping. Its gorgeous! Oh and there is dessert in your room!

The event was held in the main barn, and below the event space there is a beautiful suite for overnight stay. The suite features a full kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and a large bedroom with a huge bathroom with beautiful stone walls! The wedding was a wonderful success, and the venue is the reason why. The staff is incredible and professional. Photo opportunities on the property are almost endless, and span a variety of styles. I absolutely loved my time here, and I am already planning a stay for myself and my husband.

The gardens surrounding the cabin are beautiful. And, we loved the fragrant smell of the lilacs. Close enough to walk to the Clifton Mill (yummy pancakes!!) and bike/hike trail. Ken and Rob were wonderful hosts. Looking forward to returning again next year.

The couch and chair--usually not the most comfortable in hotel suites--were surprisingly cozy. The room overall felt clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was what you'd expect from a Best Western: solid and satisfying. It would be nice to see a bit more variety (maybe switching it up with bacon instead of sausage sometimes), but no real complaints. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. If you like to work out, the fitness area has everything you need, so no need to find an outside gym. I also appreciated the larger shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the shower--exactly what you'd expect from a "Plus" property. A lot of Best Western Plus locations feel pretty basic, but this one stands out. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Over that time I got the opportunity to get to know this man and there isn't a finer campground owner anywhere as far as I'm concerned The rent is very affordable and includes electric water and sewer. AS well as a bathhouse that's very very clean There is also a free catch and release pond with huge catfish and bass As well as crappie and carp There is a very nice gun range that is 10bucks per person for two hr blocks and you and your party are the only shooters there There is also a clubhouse with a tv and 2 nice pool tables And WiFi also included This is my little slice of heaven and I will be back to see my dear friend Mr Miller Many many more times!!!!

Of course we had great food and fun drinks. Chrissie takes the tour over and above. Suggesting here is a good restroom stop. This is a great place to grab a Drink in the DORA. She kept the pace relaxed but kept us on track. Overall a fun tour with interesting stops getting to know many of the fine dining restaurateurs and story of how and why they decided to open in Dayton. If you want a fun afternoon I highly recommend joining Chrissie for a tour. Chrissie really needs to plan a second tour I would buy tickets in a heart beat!

We were lucky to get reservations for JAM Foodie Tours, since they have been selling out. With…read moreonly 12 spots per tour, it's an intimate gathering in which people got to know each other a little. Chrissie did a wonderful job including everyone and making each of us feel welcome. The tour included 6 food/drink stops and a few bonus stops of interest along the way. It lasted about 3.5 hours and we walked around 2 miles total. Each of the restaurants told us a little about their establishment and then shared a delicious sampling of what they have to offer. Chrissie was a fantastic guide with a wealth of information about Dayton history as we walked. She kept us moving to keep on schedule but it never felt rushed. JAM started as just a summer venture, but hopefully they will decide to add dates this fall. We will definitely recommend them to friends.
