He wrote up the forms I needed to get some blood work done and sent me on my way. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I returned the next morning to see the lab tech for my blood work. Though they open at 9 and I was first in line to see the tech, she did not see me until almost 9:30. Once I was in she was great. She had the needle in on the first try and thanks to my excellent pumping skills, I had the vials filled in no time.

The doctors all seem fairy knowledgable. I fractured my tibia once and came here to have it checked out. They sent me right over to Bloor and Christie (about a block away) to get X-Rays done and called me about 3 days later with the results. That's better service than my own family doctor provides! They also have a pharmacy located on the same floor, so you can always pick up your prescription there if need be. I would certainly recommend this clinic if you need to see a doctor and live in the area.

Remember that along with checking you in, they are also answering the phone and email and a bunch of other things, so have some patience. For a downtown walk -in, the wait time to see a doctor is very fast. Doctors are great and will take time to listen to your issues. Now with COVID, you have the opportunity to send an email to have a doctor call you back and a doctor calls back within one hour! They can diagnose over the phone and even send emailed prescriptions to your local pharmacy. I really have nothing bad to say about this doctor's office and I truly think it's the best one in Toronto!!

I underwent surgery in March 2026, which lead me to be bed ridden for recovery till May 2026. I lost my job, my OSAP went into overpayment, I am under extreme financial hardship and I was attacked racially on the streets of Toronto. I was recovering, hence could not make it to the appointments, when asked about it, I was told about "policies" and "fees" I must pay before I see my doctor. I gently asked to waive it OR allow me to delay the payment till I am capable of giving it / do it in instalments. It was relayed to my doctor as I am asking to waive fees and I was informed it cannot be done. The email had issues lines up, I was looking to get my doc to fill in some forms, insurance/ hardship related, I was told how much that would "COST". I had to leave it on the side. I received an email saying I am no more on ROSTER because I missed appointments! I was genuinely taken aback. My psychiatrist had stopped the practice, so my files was being transferred to family doctor. Admin team at UHN did it, honestly, multiple times. It never reached my doctor. During my current hard time, facing depression, anxiety, adhd and an attack because I am a different race, with no money, poor credit fighting to get a job, I started overcoming my issues. I asked again for an appointment, because UHN confirmed that I was still with this clinic, they replied with "policy rules", "admin fees"! I have an entire email chain! The admin from UHN helped me with getting the records, and I PERSONALLY SENT THEM! My doctor understandably could not read everything because there were more than 200 visits to be read! So from whatever time I was a patient of this clinic, UHN did send the records, and they NEVER reached my doctor, until I had to find a way to provide it to them! Finally after asking for an appointment I finally got one last week, I finally saw my doctor and we had a plan, from the conversation I noticed he was relayed with selective information, and when he said he supports the admin team, I reassured him I understand policies and why you are supporting them, however, my MAIN CONCERNS have not reached you! Me and my doctor had a plan, I requested for one of my forms to be signed on Friday, according to clinic "policy" I was late with the email so they were going to answer me next business day. Monday has passed by, Tuesday is almost coming to an end, and I am ghosted yet again! It is extremely hard not to take this personally, I have been clarifying asking giving feedbacks in a real positive light whenever possible. BUT THE ADMIN TEAM HAS ABSOLUTELY NO EMPATHY! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE DURING MY OWN ROCK BOTTOM! I have a steady rapport with my doctor, so I cannot even go anywhere else, but to get to him, THIS HUGE HURDLE is just an impossible task! I was surprised as this was the first time that I don't have to wait for a long time so I was feeling kinda positive. Then the doctor assigned to me, Dr. Calvin Lei came into the room and this is where everything downhill. He checked me for a mere 5 mins and diagnosed it as a viral infection. I asked him what to do next as I'm taking OTC medicines and his reply was "to do whatever I want to do". When you come to see a professional you defer to their expertise and have high hopes that doctors will help you heal. Well not Dr. Lei. When you're at your vulnerable times and hurting he will definitely rushed you and your illness/symptoms dismissed. Most likely will not even provide you with the answers to your problem. This experience further inflamed my deep frustration and dissatisfaction with our health care system. I told her about harassment & discrimination by York University staff as a retaliation after I pointed out on their unethical hiring, unethical practices, & mistreatment of PhD students at the PhD in HRM. Then, she tried to convince me I need to see a psychiatrist for telling her that which gaslighting resembles the York U staff when a students points out on wrongdoings as they can't stand criticism. She said that she watches a TV show (Love & B....).. to diagnose people with disorders. Yet, she mentioned some concepts & it was clear to me she doesn't know much from that filed. She seemed confused as if she is a psychiatrist when it was clear from her comments that she doesn't even know basic stuff about some disorders (I have a degree in Psych & studied Abnormal Psych). She said she will only give me refills for two weeks & I must see her again to see if she needs to send me to a psychiatrist. This reminded me of the time in history when women were sent in asylum because someone was prejudiced or didn't like them. I have never had such experience with a medical doctor before. I preferred the does not clinic for that because it is empty , quiet and only people who are getting the procedure/clinic workers are there to aid you. All about preference. This one is so CRAMPED THAT THE ROOM WHERE THEY DO THE ABORTION IS SMALLER THAN MY WALK-IN CLOSET!!!!!! It is way TO SMALL OF A CLINIC. It is quite outdated and tight. But the staff are very kind and helpful. The largest room is the room where the women rest after the vacuum/surgical procedure. This one gave me an anxiety attack after with how tight, small and the amount of people they allow in the waiting room. Mississauga/Queensway: They do not rush you in any way, very large space for the operation/waiting room, it's quiet, very accommodating staff. The only downside I will say is the INTERNAL-ULTRASOUND TECH here is WAYYYY to aggressive with the wand in how deep and strong she inserts it. This ONE DOES FANTASTIC WORK!!!!! *** For Reference I got the procedure in Mississauga in the September of 2018 and the Bloor West Procedure in June 2019.
