(If you have a shepherd you know what I'm talking about). Mia had been abused and then fostered by five to six different foster families. I was her last one. She was the sweetest dog to me but if you were a stranger, you had to earn her trust--and it wasn't easy. She was beaten by a man so, it was twice as hard if you were a man. I was also told by her last foster that she got in the garbage, chewed up everything and was in general very destructive. The lady they sent was awesome. She even coordinated with my friend (who Mia trusted) to have someone there she (Mia) knew until Mia got used to their employee. I believe her name was Sephira. Well, Sephira and Mia became best friends and after about a two week get-to-know-each-other period--everything went very smoothly. My dog was let out in the middle of the day for a short walk and then loved up and played with, and watered. Never came home to any accidents and even got a poop report! Lol. I just rescued another German shepherd but have moved out of their service area. I just wanted everyone to know what wonderful people they have working there. And, Mia lived a very long, happy life. She passed in 2018 at 16 years old.

The prices are phenomenal, your pet gets to stay in the comfort of their own home and you get updates with pictures every single day! Love them and will continue to use them for years to come. Thank you Becky's!

This other dog turned around and latched on to my dog Cindy, inflicting bodily harm on Cindy that required them to take her to an emergency room for treatment. After being sedated, Cindy required stitches to her left ear, her throat, chest and insertion of a pen rose drain to the left side of neck. Various bites located on top of her head and body were flushed with an antiseptic solution to prevent infection. Cindy required a second visit to urgent care due to copious drainage from the pen rose drain, incurring additional costs. I have spoken to the manager Susan who was supposed to be either getting back to me, or her boss Steven was supposed to call me back. I have not heard back from either one. Cindy is scheduled for a third visit for follow up and removal of her sutures on September 22, 2025. Despite what it says in a signed contract, Red Barn Dog ops south LLC d/b/a Dogtopia of Woodbridge, is refusing to cover any of the costs associated with this incident, that my dog did not initiate. If you choose to board your pet here be forewarned, they are not reputable, and do not abide by their own contract.

He also has a bit of separation anxiety that soon dispels if he is brought into the group. However, the workers never coaxed him into the room with the other dogs away from the door. I could almost never see him on the camera because he was always at the door. When I asked about it, I was told that he was at the door, but they never offered to engage with him to feel comfortable moving into the room where the other dogs were playing. In addition, he started using the bathroom inside my apartment despite being completely potty trained. And he smelled like dog urine. I had to bathe him after every 2nd visit although I could have done it after every visit. The last day he attended, he seemed completely shell-shocked. I don't know what happened, but he behaved in a dazed manner that I have never seen from him. It scared me so I never took him back. My dog is so gentle and sweet that he could have really enjoyed the socialization if the workers had made an attempt to engage with him.

From the initial consult with Kenzie, we felt very comfortable with how she approached training and her experience. When Charlie came back after 4 weeks, it was such a big change! No longer did we have to worry about leash pulling, picking up trash on walks, and being overcome with excitement whenever guests would visit. We can now enjoy our dog all of the time. We take her on long walks, she joins us at restaurants and events around the neighborhood, and overall is a much better behaved dog without losing her personality. We could not be happier with our experience with Kenzie.

Controlled K9 came to our home to evaluate her and recommended a four week board and train to work on basic obedience, leash manners, and off leash recall. We loved that she was taken in as a member of the family during her "boarding school," and they provided regular photos and updates on her progress throughout. She returned to us her same happy, sweet self in the house, but basically a new dog on leash! The Controlled K9 team trained us on how to continue her training, and remained super responsive to our follow up questions. It's incredible to see the transformation and we're so grateful to the Controlled K9 team for changing our lives - and Zoey's - for the better!
